The plain croissant reminded me of something I would get at a hospital or a bakery that labels things as croissants when they are clearly not. No flaky outer layer...just the same as what you find inside. So sad. As if this wasn't enough of a disappointment, as my husband and I sat down to enjoy our cappuccinos (sadly made from a machine and not espresso as I had hoped), we discovered that neither of our coffees actually had any coffee in them and were literally just the milk. The only reason this place gets any stars is I did also purchase a bread with raisins and nuts and I thought it was actually ok. If Sunday this is your only option...think twice or maybe just avoid the croissants and coffee as it seems other comme y'a indicate the actual pastries are ok.

This was mainly a bakery (boulangerie) but their bread was incredible - perfect, crusty, crunchy crusts. Their rye bread (avec farine de siegle) still blows my mind. Comes in a large or small circular loaf with thick, textured crust and an impressively soft, moist center. Prices are comparable to other bakeries (which are pretty similar across France for bread). If you're looking for fresh bread in this area I absolutely recommend you come here !

Les Eclaireurs is just as amazing - never mind how many outlets they have. All Les Eclaireurs does is eclairs. There are only about twelve kinds of eclairs in the showcase. There is no place to sit down. You have to take your eclair and eat it somewhere else. But these are eclairs that will shape your world. Eclairs that make life worth living. Payday, first romance, and the big promotion all at once. Some of the eclairs are savory rather than sweet. You can get a Nordic style salmon and dill eclair. You can get a Pear and Roquefort Eclair. You can get a Mortadella and Truffle Eclair. But they have plenty of sweet eclairs as well. Some are highly elaborate with many ingredients constructed on top of the eclair like a Lego competition.
