Juan was the first to respond, the first to visit the site and the first to quote. He quoted a price for asphalt shingles and offered an alternative to asphalt shingles which was aluminum shingles. After receiving other quotes I chose Country Roads Exteriors and the aluminum shingles they suggested. The resulting roof is highly attractive, offers benefits of a lifetime warranty, low maintenance, better high wind resistance and greater fire resistance. Communications during the process were excellent. The process of installing the roof went very well. The promised schedule was met. The workmanship was first rate. The cleanup was complete. I highly recommend this company.

I had an active roof leak and needed help quickly, and their team was responsive, professional, and reassuring from the start. Juan spent an hour with me evaluating all of my various options, advising me that replacing my entire roof was in my best interest due to the leakage and poor craftsmanship of the entire roof (I had already had my roof patched a few times before). He had more members of his team take a look as well and give their opinions. Other roofers offered to patch up the hole, but once the whole roof was torn off, it was discovered, like Juan guessed, that there was more damage underneath than previously thought. The wood was rotting and the trusses were warping due to all the excess weight from two layers of roofing and long term water damage. Juan and his team replaced plywood, added additional support to the trusses and made sure the entire job was done right. Also, they provided a fair and transparent estimate, communicated clearly throughout the process, and completed the entire job in just two days! They brought out 12 guys and had two layers of my roof torn off an then replace so fast! They got it all done right before the atmospheric river came through. The quality of their work and efficiency truly exceeded my expectations. They even came out a few days later to do another inspection to make sure nothing was missed and they spray painted all pipes and hardware to make sure it matched my new black roof color. I'm very grateful for their prompt service and would highly recommend Country Roads Roofing to anyone in need of reliable, high-quality roofing work. We've lived in our home for 9 years and this roof has been a nightmare the entire time, but not any longer! We are so thankful and I know it sounds cheesy, but I actually feel like I made a friend. Thank you Juan and team!

After a couple mishaps with my original window cleaner of 5 1/2 years having Covid and moving away, however I am going to be working with him again thank God!!! I unfortunately stumbled upon three bears, he LIED about having insurance and waited till the day of to say oh he couldn't find his policy and then he realized his policy was not covering him and he needed to get a new policy. How do you do that when you have a business and you're charging full price like $500 for window cleaning? Please be careful with who you pick make sure they bring out proper paper work actually showing you that they have insurance and licensing that they are covered not just telling you they have insurance. I knew something was wrong because he was having trouble responding to texts and phone calls the day before. He's one of those guys that's really good at acting super nice and oh I'm just such a nice guy. Beware it's better to deal with people who are upfront and maybe a little bit prickly but they have their licensing, insurance and workman's comp together not just charging full price and Scamming people!! I feel really sorry for his customers that think he's such a nice guy and he's giving them a deal. Charging them top dollar and then not even paying for insurance and coverage. Who even knows if he's even paying his taxes to our government?? We are just dumb Americans, I guess ?

My experience was…read moreessentially perfect, or as perfect as one of the most stressful home purchases you'll make can be. I got four bids from local companies and while Pfeifer was not the cheapest, they had the best combination of knowledge, experience, and price out of the four. Sam's advice about the best underlayment and important details of the panel structure and flashing made Pfeifer stand out from the pack. Pfeifer scheduled the removal of my composite roof for the next time that the weather cleared. Hector and his crew were out here early every day, and they worked hard. They worked almost every day for about a week including coming in on the weekend when the weather allowed. Once the underlayment was on they waited about a week for the panels to get produced and delivered and then Hector's team was back out at my house daily for about two more weeks installing the roof. Higher level supervisors from the company like Christian, Martin and others were regularly in touch and visited several times to make sure that the quality of the installation was up to their standards. Since I don't really know much about roofs there were a couple times when I was worried about the way several details looked. Hector was consistently patient with my questions and every single time his explanation for how he was installing the panels matched or exceeded the manufacturer recommendations I found online. My roof is significantly more complicated than I appreciated at the start of the project, but by the end I was confident that each valley, pitch change, and vent was expertly flashed and sealed. There was a small amount of additional work that needed to be done around some siding on the house, and the quality and the cost of that work were both fair. Metal roofs are a craft, and the details matter for the roof's long-term performance. Once the roof installation was done I asked an expert roofer I know to come out and provide a consultation for me about the quality of Pfeifer's work. He doesn't think very highly of roofers in general, but he was quite literally floored by the multiple signals of extremely high quality work he saw on my roof. Hector and his crew are excellent at what they do, and the whole team at Pfeifer are professional. There is a reason that they have so few CCB complaints for such a long tenure as a company: you can trust Pfeifer to install your metal roof the right way.

One incident in particular sticks out in my mind at this point. At the property where I currently reside and an anonymous carpenter had inadvertently saw through the main electrical cables of the property built in 1946. Up the street, a delivery truck had accidentally yanked down electrical lines because of a poor coordination of communication between the city and a local owner regarding the importance of clearing trees and a failure to identify that the overhanging powerlines were being held up by the long branches of the tree in the midst of all this Martin's crew was roofing that very complicated roof that has somewhere upwards of 11 different pitches and also has an extremely steep driveway that complicated the matter of delivering shingles that were to be lifted up to the roof with electrical lines and Internet lines passing in the line of the truck used to hoist the shingles Given the accidents I'd already witnessed locally, I was reflexively anxious. Not to worry. Martin's crew had their eyes on the job, took measures to avert the obstacle, and the driver was extremely skillful. They also removed and replaced our front deck and extended our rear deck, repaired our roof from leaks and repaired all the custom woodwork and drywall inside the home from water damage. It was a large job because we have a 3 story home over 5000SF. They had to get a crane with a bucket to do most of the work because the house is too tall for scaffolding or ladders. Review of work: In our area of Coastal Oregon the climate is very wet and the wind is really strong. The house was built in 2006 but the previous builder did not do a good job of weatherproofing the house for this region. When it rained we would get water inside the house on the south facing side of the home. I got a few quotes and Halvorson-Mason was priced very good compared to their competitors. I also got recommended to them by our realtor. Chris and Brian of Halvorson-Mason were great to work with. They gave us a price and kept their word about what they would do to complete the job. They are very professional and down to earth guys. I couldn't ask for better craftsmanship. Their team are top notch guys and very reliable and trustworthy. We purchased this house last year knowing we had to get it fixed and thanks to Halvorson-Mason the house looks new again. I would definitely recommend these guys to friends and will use them again in the near future. (I am already in talks with Chris about installing an elevator in the house) I don't think there isn't anything they can't do when it comes to custom homes.
