Great organization for gymnastics. Our daughter has been here for 3 years now and in that time frame she has progressed really well! She was going to another gymnastics place before her and they would not advance her even though she was on par with the next class up. We moved her to AV twisters and she was immediately put in the next level. After about a year they recommended advancing her again due to how well she was doing. They let us know up front what to expect since it meant longer classes since she would start training to compete. The staff is really understanding and nice to the kids. They consist of current advanced or prior students so they've all gone through the same school. It's amazing how far she's gone in the short time here. If you are looking for a gymnastics place for your child I highly recommend them. They also offer a discount if you have multiple children enrolled. read more

We signed up my step-son for Parkour classes and he seems to like them so far. The gym is a bit small compared to other gyms we used to go to and has a lot of classes on the floor at the same time so it seems crowded but other than that, a fair price for the classes. read more

Hands DOWN the best of the BEST gymnastics place in the AV!!! My daughter is now 8 we have been here since she was 2-3. She is now on team here at av twisters. I have to admit I live pretty far from the facility about 25-30 miles and I tried another gym up here on tenth (I'm sure you all know which one, we tried when we moved Far West) we were there two classes and we immediately stopped they ONLY cared about quantity and money, over 15-18 girls in ONE CLASS! They were way over priced and can I just say COCKY. THE OWNER WAS RUDE, I asked a few questions and she just acted like I was SCUM. My daughter is EXCELLING so much at twisters. ALL their coaches are certified and properly trained and they genuinely CARE!!!! I also have a younger daughter in one of there classes and the coaches are simply amazing they genuinely have a passion for what they do and seek to pass that on to each and every individual. The owners are extremely nice and make you feel welcome ALWAYS! My daughter started her competing year this past month and I can't express enough how amazing coach Brooke is! My daughter has not only learned gymnastics skills but team and leadership skills. She has grown so much!!! We have diverse and Confident instructors who know very well how to coach. The owners son? Neither of the owners have children. Unless you are speaking of Tony, Whose son is three years old. We have steady coaches and they are outstanding. Eric and Tony are the owners. They do a fantastic job and I have no idea of this "Creepy and Inappropriate" Nonsense. We signed my daughter up for gymnastics here. We really wanted this to work out. She had done gymnastics when she was 2 y.o. with a great coach who had coached a junior US Olympic team. He was able to teach her many things at such a young age and had so much faith in her talent that he gave us free equipment to keep her going. Her first class went okay. Second class, a new coach was shadowing the coach who was leaving. She had fun and came home practicing. Third class, new coach was in for good. It quickly became evident that the personality was not a match. The coach seemed passive, didn't really show the girls how to do things and didn't really excite them. I thought, maybe new-job jitters. Fourth class, she was mistakenly put in with a younger class who happened to have a substitute coach. This was the best class she had there. Her personality came through and he got her to pay attention and learn the parallel bars. Unfortunately, it was the only time we saw that coach. It was downhill from that day on. We noticed that her coach would always have her at the very end of the line and by the time it was her turn, she didn't show my daughter how to do things the way she did some of the girls. Sometimes she didn't even wait for my daughter's turn and watch her go. She just had an older girl in the class watch her. This lady made our blood boil. How was my daughter supposed to learn anything this way? She had just turned 5, she's very active and gets bored easily. There was even a day when all they did was run around in circles, do jumping jacks, and sit-ups. I could do that with her at home. None of the other classes ran like a middle school P.E. class. As a result, my daughter had a hard time paying attention. I had a talk with the coach but by then it was too late. We kept giving it a shot since we had already paid the month. We noticed signs of my daughter becoming severely anxious at even the thought of gymnastics. She would say she felt sick, she felt nauseous, that her coach wasn't nice to her. The last straw was when she actually started crying when she entered the class. We explained this to the manager (?) who is very nice, btw. He said we can put her in with a different coach to see how she'd respond before we cancelled. We tried this the next week but it was too late. By this time she HATED gymnastics. The new coach she was with tried to talk to her and make her comfortable but she had had such a horrible experience that she wouldn't stop crying. We pulled her from the class early and cancelled her membership. It's a shame because she LOVES gymnastics. She still dons her leotards at home and does her flips and cartwheels...she truly enjoys it. But the thought of even entering this gym made her sick. The only reason I'm even giving two stars is because the manager was always nice and there are a couple of coaches for older girls that are really involved with their kids. You can tell they are leaders for these girls and the girls were always improving. read more

I bring my 5 year old and 3 year old here for gymnastics. They each attend once a week, different classes. They enjoy it so much! The classes are very organized, and they keep the groups small. I really like that there is a room where the parents can sit and watch their kids. Prices are very reasonable. read more

I brought my 12 year old daughter here along with her best friend for tumbling. My daughter had been competing in dive for 3 years. She always did "just okay". As soon as dive was done for the season we enrolled at AV Twisters. She learned so much about how to throw her body, she got more core strength and her confidence went through the roof. She started in September 2013. Dive started in June 2014. So, after about 9 months she was back at dive. She went from never placing at semi-finals to coming in second in her division. She then went on the LA84 finals at the John C. Argue swim stadium. She placed 9th overall. AMAZING! I know it was from the consistent coaching she got at AV Twisters! I like the all the coaches and the owner is very friendly and welcoming. read more

My kids have been going to classes at AV Twisters for about a year. I could not be HAPPIER with the staff and the classes. My kids are bundles of energy, but these classes hold their attention and the kids have a BLAST! The coaches are patient, understanding and compassionate towards the kids and have been so professional with me and their father. I was so worried I would be surrounded by coaches who yell and parents who berate their kids...not this place. Even when my kids have a bad day, the coaches approach them with firmness tempered by kindness. My son has been taking the Parkour class and I never feel nervous or worried that he is going to get hurt; they move at their pace and are so safe. And my kids are getting so strong and confident in their abilities. read more
