I spent thousands of dollars there over the last couple of years and really found the mechanics top notch. But the first time I had a problem, it could have been simply solved and the owner wouldn't even address it. I was shocked after being a loyal customer I could only image how he must gauge tourists. When I told him about the issue I never asked for a specific resolution (just wanted to let the owner Martin, know I was charged for work I didn't request and the work I did request was never done) he had the chance to take accountability and make it right. Instead he told me any problems were between me and the employees he "had nothing to do with it". A terribly spineless way to run a business. Imagine bringing your car in for a brake job and because the mechanics thought it was old looking they give you a new paint job but never do the brakes!! Stay away from here, there is a great shop in Les Houches and a super place in Sallanches.

At first I was bummed to learn that the free return policy only applies to customers in France, but after I explained how I missed this info, the team at Zero G was kind enough to hook me up with some product credit to compensate for the return shipping cost and even took the time to take my advice on making the policy more clear on their site. Solid customer service to go with their great pricing on high quality gear.

We had pre-booked ski hire and the process could not have been any more efficient. When we arrived, we were greeted instantly and attended to right away, with no waiting. The person thankfully spoke English (even though we had given our rusty French a go - badly) and we had no communication issues at all. The skis I was given were almost brand new - they were certainly new that season and did not have a mark on them. Later in the week, my ski instructor commented that I'd been given good skis and they were the right size and type for my height and skill level. This was not the case with other members of the group who had ordered their skis from elsewhere - the ski instructor even advised one girl that she should ask her ski provider for a different pair, as the ones she had been given were not suitable at all. Whereas we were very confident in the expertise and equipment provided by Intersport. On returning the skis at the end of the week, again we were seen to right away, no waiting at all - just a very easy and quick in and out. I would definitely use this Intersport again. I'd also popped in during the week to buy a Buff, as we had unfortunate weather. and driving snow was getting the better of my face. It seemed expensive - just under 40 Euros for a Buff, but let's face it, if you buy gear in a ski resort you know you are going to get fleeced on the price anyway, and I was happy to pay the price for convenience. Again, we were happy with the quality of the items on offer, and with the friendly service.

Not wanting to have my rental cancelled, I emailed their general email address and got a prompt reply confirming that my rental would still be good. Upon getting to Grindelwald, the shop is located on the main street. The rental portion of the shop is located downstairs. The selection of skis was excellent, with a good selection of all-mountain and racing skis. All of them looked brand new. This is a bit unusual, as I've definitely had some well-used skis in the past. The staff member who assisted me set the skis up perfectly. He felt bad that I had pre-paid for the rental via the website and mentioned that AlpinResorts can be difficult to work with around trying to get a partial refund. I mentioned that I had travel insurance and would pursue it through that avenue, but I appreciated his concern and commentary. He had some interesting tips for where to ski in the area and mentioned that the snow wasn't all that great to start the week. He said that if I didn't like my choice, a pair of Volkl's, I was more than welcome to bring them back and swap out for something else. At the end of the week, returning skis/poles were a breeze.

Staff were friendly and helpful and got our gear sorted in minutes. We also bought our lift passes in their shop which saved us having to queue at the lift station the next, which was a bonus! My brother didn't have a ski jacket or pants and was going to buy a set but in turns out they rent ski clothing so he did that instead. The next day we headed straight up the mountain, the skis we were all given were really good but I changed mine after our first few runs for a slightly longer pair. I did this at their shop up the mountain which was really nice feature. We also stored our skis up there overnight on the last few days which saved us carrying stuff back to the apartment in town. Haven't rented from any other shops in Verbier so cannot compare but was overall very happy with ski service. Would definitely recommend. Rex K.

I came across…read morethem using the Alpinresorts.com website, which I have used for other ski destinations abroad. The website tends to offer discounts to the point where it saves you money (and the schlepping) of paying for skis on international flights. When you enter from the street, you'll see a compact store with some gear and clothes. The rentals are all taken care of downstairs, so if that's what you're looking for...head down. The process for picking up the skis, poles, and helmet was relatively painless. I had my confirmation email from the website, however the store did ask for photo ID (which wasn't mentioned in the confirmation email). I mentioned that I didn't have my passport on me, but did have the credit card used to secure the purchase with me. That appeared to be sufficient as I was able to pick up my rental. The techs were able to quickly adjust my binding to fit my boot and I was on my way. There was a ton of staff in place at the store on Sunday (I suspect it is a big turnover day for them). One of the staff members was kind enough to take my ski upstairs to street level. After my week of skiing was done, the place can be virtually skied into from the town's main area. A short walk down the main street and you're able to return you skis with ease. They quickly check the serial number on the skis, confirm your name and you're done. I've got no complaints about using these guys for a rental. They had a big selection of skis and poles, so you're sure to find something that makes sense for you.
