A lot of businesses offer special hours and/or deals along the way, and there are several great community events going on. This year, there were fun opportunities at the corner of High and New England Ave: free horse and carriage rides, free trackless train rides, a snowplow touch-a-truck opportunity, musical performances, an iceless ice rink, and collection of nonperishables for the Worthington Resource Pantry. The Village Green had a neat Maker's Market, food trucks and stands, and was home to the tree lighting. We really enjoyed the train ride, and the fun train whistles the sponsor kindly distributed to the line! For other activities, the map/guide was really helpful! We especially enjoyed Sew to Speak's make your own mouse candy cane ornament for a small fee, AR Workshop's tree cookie stencil ornaments for a donation to Charity Newsies, CoHatch's make your own reindeer food, Electric Sheep's characters in a quiet space for a donation to the Autism Society (Captain America, Wonder Woman, the Grinch, and Anna and Elsa), HER Realtors' amazing holiday window decorations and their fun party atmosphere (balloons, cookies, freshly popped popcorn, and coloring sheets), and picking up some nice hot burritos from the Guelaguetza Street Food truck to enjoy. Naturally, we also eagerly stopped by for a visit with Santa on the gorgeous Worthington Inn porch, with pictures by SEE Studio. What a wonderful way to start the season!

I am not sure if the venue supplied the decor or not, but the entirety of the venue, even down to structure of the actual building, is just really pretty. It's simple and has a rustic yet modern and clean farmhouse feel. Lots of greenery everywhere. The party lights strung all throughout the ceiling definitely added a very quaint and warm feel. I was surprised it only took the cocktail hour after the ceremony for the staff (of whom was very inconspicuous... I don't even remember barely noticing staff) to turn the room where the wedding took place, into the reception! With tables, linens, big grand center pieces... I mean... the works! HOW did they do that in 1 hour?! Anyways... everything was right in it's place. The ambiance to the venue was to die for and the entire evening seemed to flow so seamlessly. A+++ for the Vue!

Had I known about this place 4 years ago when I was getting married, I probably would have had my wedding reception here. Everything about this venue just made me love it like the rustic and artsy room. Perfect space to entertain guests. Ah, the Fawcett Center. I used to work here 35 years ago, in the auditorium, as my work study job…read more We had events all the time. WOSU was based here, in the end section by the auditorium. There was a hotel, and a fancy restaurant. I learned a lot, and goofed off a lot. Today, the building has been renovated. No more hotel- athletic offices I think. No big restaurant- a small cafe, where the hotel's front desk was. No more WOSU. It's very clean and new, inside and out. Doesn't look like the auditorium gets used much, and the WOSU end looks empty. Of course, that is my impression from a quick nostalgia visit. They might be busy on weekends. There are conference rooms and meeting areas. Looks like they do catering for events. Hopefully the space is being used enough to keep it going. I saw a few students and staff, on a weekday. I've heard you can park here for events at the Schott. Be careful- all the parking is pay or permit.
