I loved her amazing attitude and her dance classes so much I had to have more! I started coming here to the studio about a month ago. First off - if you are thinking about trying the studio out, you can - unlimited classes - for a week FOR FREE. Rates are incredibly reasonable and they even have hip hop for kids! So, even though Pam lured me to the studio i've gotten totally hooked on all the other instructors classes! There are so many types to choose from and they are all amazing! I especially 'love' Core RX on Sunday morning. I mean, I totally want to die the whole time, praying for it to be over but once it is....it feels so good! I love the community feeling and support from everyone - and I think my butt is starting to look pretty good! What more can you ask for, right?!

The schedule is easy to find on MindBody as well as posted in the studio. Studio fees are reasonable. The studio is clean and well lit and has all of the equipment you need for each class. There are 2 class spaces - a small yoga-ish studio off of the main room and a larger concrete floor studio in back with a small platform/stage and a roll up door for ventilation/extra light. Both have plenty of mirrors, light, and fans if needed. Alicia and her staff are super friendly and welcoming. There is always someone at the desk greeting students and getting you situated. Another cool note is that Alicia sponsors or partners with non-Columbus-based instructors who don't have studio space for extra offerings or events.

Located in Kenny Centre Mall, this studio is located about 4 doors down closer to Tensuke area of the building. Small be mighty, classes can accommodate up to 20 to 35 people easily. I have seen ballet, tap and hiphop dances done there. I am in the KDA dance classes and we be jumping flipping and skipping in there. We have fans, water fountains and bathrooms available. The key holder is so sweet, she let us finish what we have to do and locks it up! 5 stars for encourage practice and dance.

They have classes for pop music dance and other stuff too. The teachers were great, they know how to work with kids. There were a few boys in these classes too. My daughter had so much fun!

My children (a daughter & son) have been dancing with CDA for more than 7 years. We are appreciative of the attention provided by the teachers who make all dancers feel like they are part of the CDA family regardless of their level of participation. I came to him with knee problems and some other strain that previous trainers seemed to ignore. Since working with Dustin I haven't had a single knee flare up, and my legs are a lot stronger! Plus my overall fitness has quite improved and Dustin has helped me with my overall wellness. But Dustin (and the other staff who are friendly and totally awesome) aside - I really love this place because it's diverse. A typical morning includes new parents with their kids in car carriers, older women lifting weights and practicing balance, boxers, marathoners, teens, even kids with special needs. Everyone fits in here. The place is basic but totally efficient and has better equipment than the rpac at Osu. The sweat box is fantastic and I cannot recommend it highly enough. It's a true place of wellness.

They really care about students learning technique so they can progress as dancers, whether they are in it for the fun of it or in it to become a professional dancer. In fact, a couple of Butch's former students currently perform as Rockettes, another has been performing on Broadway for years, and others have been on college dance teams. Many of the Jr. Miss/Mr. Dance or Miss/Mr. Dance of Ohio have been instructed by Butch at some point (mostly during conventions, summer workshops) throughout their dance career. Many of the students have opportunities to perform locally and nationally whether it's through a local show or competition. Dance Masters of America is a large competition that students will compete at as well as Showstoppers and many others including local competitions. There have also been master classes offered at the studio but also at other studios/competitions that students have been encouraged to attend. Take a look at the wonderful ratings the dance studio receives on their Facebook page and you'll see how happy people have been with their experience. While I'm at it, I'd like to address the negative review on this page. It really saddens me that someone had a bad experience at the studio. I am certain if a dancer has an issue and it was brought forward to Butch it would be addressed in a positive matter. Again, he really cares for ALL students and pushes them to be the best that they can be.
