But because I did not really know any other hairdresser, as I was new to Northampton, I kept on going to this place. And it turned out to be the best hairdresser I have been to in my life. They people know me well now and I regularly chat with them. Sometimes you have those hairdressers where you have good ones working there and you have bad ones. But here, I have had a haircut from all the people working there and they all cut in the same way. A great place to go to, price isn't too bad either.

There prices are very very good and the cut is excellent, but I will say make sure you get there early on a weekend as the wait is normally about 40 mins on a Saturday

I don't find the prices to be extortionate either - a cut, wash and blow dry costs me around the £27 mark. Note - they don't take any form of credit or debit cards but I believe they do accept cheques with a guarantee card, although it'd be best to check that! The staff are happy to spend a while going over what you want from your haircut and also give you tips to try at home which I found invaluable. The staff are also lovely to talk to and you never experience the awkward silence. The salon itself is very modern, they have space for 5 (I think!) peoples hair to be cut at once. The only downside to this hairdressers is that parking can be a little tricky but it's one small niggle for a great haircut!

Crystals Tips (nail bar) are also in the same building at the front as you walk in and you can also have your eyebrows and eyelashes done here so its everything under one roof. I am a very fussy customer who hates it when hairdressers don't listen to my requests. This is something which has happened at a lot of salons and will never happen at barbarella. I have found a salon which not only listens, They pay attention to what the customer needs and do it in a very friendly way. I lived 150 miles away and would commute back to use the salon because I trust every one of their hairdressers! Basically, if you are a girl (or boy) and you live in Northampton, you should go there!
