Insurgentes!
This busy street is one of the busiest roads in Mexico City. It is a divided thoroughfare with heavy traffic. The street is not well marked, and many of the driving laws seem like merely suggestions.
Much of the sidewalk was marked with "CDMX" tiles, much like Rome's SPQR, which gives the city character. However, there was a lot of the sidewalk that was impassable, since it was under construction, forcing pedestrians to venture out into the street.
There's all kinds of cool shops along this road, and hole-in-the-wall restaurants abound.
You'll find Plaza Insurgentes along this road, which is a major subway and bus terminal. The plaza is a good place to get your shoes shined, some candy or magazines. There always seems to be something going on around this street. read more
