I asked my mother and called her dentist and they couldn't see me right away. However they referred me to Dentistry on Jamieson. I called after hrs and left a message. The very next morning (a Saturday) I received a call from Jess and I was in, right away. Jess' directions were clear and the location was easy to find. I walked into a clean lined office of calmness which was needed cause I was a little apprehensive. I even noticed they have iPads for the kids. I was greeted warmly and after filling in a easy new patient form I was promptly brought into the examination room by Justine and she filled me in on X-rays and what they were going to do. The new office boasted state of the art new equipment including a panoramic X-ray that was so easy and my favorite the flat screen tv to distract me from what was about to happen in my mouth. Now I have avoided dentists like the plague after some harrowing experiences with 2 separate dentist. Dr. Asi came in and had a calm confidence about him and he put me to ease right away. He reviewed my urgent issues and brought up some new findings. His knowledge and communication with me was excellent as he explained everything clearly and answered all my questions and put my concerns to rest. Now was the time for the broken tooth extraction. Remember my dislike for this whole process. Dr. Asi's gentle approach and technique was amazing. I hardly felt anything and before I knew it, it was all over. Now for what could be the painful part - the cost. I don't have any dental coverage so everything is out of pocket. This part was just as gentle as the procedure. Dr. Asi's rates are the most reasonable out there. A great dentist with great rates, I am returning to get the other issues and recommendations taken care of. From the initial walk in, to meeting the great staff and a talented doctor it was the best dentist visit in my life. I was pleasantly relieved that it worked out that way. I had a tooth break and had to go. My experience was wonderful. The dentist I had was Dr. Sangha. She was so calm and patient. As I sat in the chair I started to sweat, have hot flashes and could feel heart pounding. She talked me through the laughing gas and monitored my pulse to make sure I was calming down. She used oral freezing about two minutes before the needle. I did not feel the needle!! The procedure was over before I knew it. She also did some cleaning on that side since I was frozen. My medcal doctor referred me to Dr. Estrabillo because my blood tests showed I was constantly…read morefighting infection that antibiotics etc. appeared unable to clear. Using a CT Scanner, Dr. Estrabillo uncovered hidden infection that had eaten away a large amount of bone in two separate locations. Infection was in areas with no pain receptors and I remained totally unaware that serious dental issues existed. After this infection was removed, a computerized bite analysis machine was used to discover that my bite was seriously misaligned. The right side of my mouth registered over 2000 pound of pressure. This test was displayed on a monitor and I was able to see results register on the colour coded bar graph displayed. The correctiion took minutes as Dr. Estrabillo used the same technique my other dentists have used (black paper and filing down fillings to fit). The only difference was that Dr. Estrabillo was able to insert the tester into my mouth to check his own adjustments until my bite registered proper colour codes on the monitor. Interesting to note that following these two dental procedures, my chronic neck pain also disappeared. Kudos to Dr. Estrabillo for investing considerable time and energy to educate himself in the application of these leading-edge technologies. I well appreciate that I could be dead now had it not been for Dr. Estrabillo's investigative measures. I still see my regualar dentist for check-ups and teeth cleaning but I also drive to Ancaster to check in with Dr. Estrabillo periodically. By the way, Dr. Estrabillo's costs are actually a titch less than my dentist in Toronto.

St Andrews is now a large operation with many employees and attitude. Dentists come and go here as do assistants. Often quite young ones still clinging to their grade 10 behaviour. Big rush here, don't hesitate when dentist asks you a question or he may be gone. I called to make an appointment to have a tooth fixed. Was told no. Debated for several minutes with the female voice till she passed me to another woman. The debate renewed. Finally she conned me by saying they would do both procedures (measuring my gums then fixing my tooth). I agreed, she laughed. Should have known right then. I arrived, dentist, not my regular one poked and prodded for awhile calling out numbers to his assistant. Then he said we are done. I said well now you are going to fix my tooth right. His answer "no I am not." He walked. Charged me $174. Days later I asked for my records, the very young "girl" at front desk refused. Have not been back. All this was several years ago.

And so they rescheduled me for several weeks later but my teeth were in alot of pain for several weeks. Finally when they eventually operated, they practiced on the wrong tooth. And so I asked for the old x-rays and the new ones and they wouldn't give them up until I got a lawyer to call them. Don't go there if you know what's good for you. They don't even deserve a one star. I wouldnt even go there if it was 100 percent fully covered by my benefits. Terrible.
