Yelp Review 2026 #202:…read more Galeries Lafayette in Paris is a grand and majestic shopping arcade. This Galeries Lafayette in Nice is smaller and not as grand but it does the job. Your favorite French brands are here as well as other brands like Burberry, Chloe, Balenciaga, etc. There are about 5 floors of clothes, shoes, jewelry, bags, accessories, makeup, perfumes, furniture and restaurants/ cafes. I came here for some macarons, French butter and Comme des Garçons shirts. However, I must've been super exhausted from walking in the heat of the sun that I completely forgot what I came here for. I remember going to the places I wanted to go to but somehow, I left with only 1 shopping bag from a store that wasn't even on my list!

This spot seemed geared towards tourists and shoppers in a mid-upper economic situation, as it's def on the pricier end from a quality and assortment perspective (think Bloomingdale's in NYC). There are signs posted on how to get tax refunds on purchases over a certain amount. That being said when I went mid-January they were having a fair amount of end of season sales across most retailers so shopping (or window shopping) can be an alternative activity for a rainy January day when it's not nice enough outside to enjoy the gorgeous views along the coast. The store is divided into 5 stories (first floor being floor 0 in Europe). Floor 0 includes cosmetics and beauty, watches and accessories and a salon, plus individual shops for the luxury retailers like LV, Balenciaga, Gucci, etc. First and second floors are higher end and mid-high end women's apparel and additional accessories. Third floors is men's and fourth floor is everything else--furniture, home goods, gourmet foods, restaurant. Personally wish it carried more gourmet food items like the Paris locations, but I guess it's not as big as those locations so there's less selection.

Expensive, but we get what we want and it is still less expensive than going to a restaurant for the similar quality of food. Ambiance - Again, one of the largest Monoprix in this area. Upscale. See pictures. We actually opened a loyalty card to become a member to take advantage of the discounts. Message me if you have questions. Service - Self service. Price - Above average, also in a tourist area. So expect to pay accordingly. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1932. I also noticed some acquisitions in 1996 and 1997. Congrats with your 5 brands, approximately 400 locations, 250 in France and the rest abroad.

Yelp Review 2026 #205:…read more I was on a mission to get some French butter. I did my research and people were saying to go to Monoprix to get some French butter. It was so crowded. It was overwhelming. I spotted the fridge section that has beurre. But I wanted to check out other food items and snacks they had. But with all the people in there, I gave up and went back to the butter section. They have several brands but not the brands I was looking for. They didn't have a variety of flavors either. It was either salted or unsalted butter. So, I left empty handed.

Horrible service…read more First I was told that I have to put everything back on hangers with the attitude that I better stay away from trying on clothes so the girl have less work to do. No "please", no welcoming attitude. Of course no "madam, you have such a nice taste, please go ahead try on as much clothes as you wish and I am there for you to help you". I don't mind put everything back on hangers but be nice to me, even if it is a policy-it is still possible to ask nicely about it. Manager came, but did not apologize (she only said that I am right) Then that girl changed and by another girl was told that I should not try that many items because it is hard for the girl So I guess it is just normal for them to be rude to the customers Ok, well, i am sorry that I came to your store and you have to do your job. I understand it's better to do nothing and get paid. Then it took them half an hour to do my "tax free" from 5 people no one really knew how to do it correctly. The worst store i've ever been at. The rudest service

For example for shoes we arrive fast at 100EUR while the quality is widely variable. I remember myself for example of a pair of ballerinas who finished in the trash can because really too uncomfortable!
