    Happy hour menu

I have been thinking about the Ahi tuna tartare so I stopped in here tonight and indulged myself, I love the rice cracker that comes with it. probably has 1,000,000 cal but it's so good. Everyone is very nice in here and it's fun to sit at the bar. There's nothing like the Waldorf Astoria! Stop in and say hello

The buffet breakfast option was so delicious. I love that there's multiple freshly squeezed juice options including a green juice and orange juice. Love a good omelette bar, there's several meat options including smoked salmon! There were also a variety of parfaits and greens. The breakfast options have something for everyone, healthy and hearty options!

This is a repeat for us every year as the Waldorf is an annual or biannual trip. Consistently great food - pasta was incredible! We tried Parmesan crusted chicken, grilled asparagus, the caramelized smash burger, filet mignon, Caesar salad and the butter cake during our stay/ everything was beautifully presented and delicious. We had the BEST most attentive servers! Estephanie, Yair, Jorge, Ignacio & Omar are top notch. They missed nothing and made us feel so catered to. The views are amazing sit outside, so you can watch the sun go down. The only dish we would really love to see back on the menu is the sea bass- best we have had and so flavorful.

The ambience at Aveo is spectacular, with sweeping views all the way to the ocean. For dinner, we tried the fried calamari and Argentinian clay baked bread--both were excellent. The chive butter stood out over the honey butter. The roasted peach and strawberry salad was fresh and full of flavor. The surf and turf was cooked perfectly, though the lobster could have used a bit more seasoning. The sea bass was plated beautifully and light in flavor. For dessert, we had the hazelnut chocolate rocher, warm peach blueberry cobbler, and chocolate bananas foster sundae, but none of them really impressed--they all lacked sweetness. Service started strong but dropped off at the end, and we had to flag down the host to close out our check. For breakfast, the mocha was good, and the complimentary fruit juice shot was a nice touch. Bacon came out perfectly crispy. The Denver omelet was just okay, the pancakes were too dry, but the huevos rancheros had a great kick and were very good. Unfortunately, service was poor--our waiter disappeared after taking our order, and we had to rely on the host multiple times, though he was very apologetic. Overall, the setting is beautiful and some dishes really shine, but the service and desserts could use improvement.

For such a fancy restaurant I'm not sure what more I expected, but I do feel like the food here was not as good as the beach restaurant at the Waldorf. The food was good, but it didn't hit the mark like expected. I got the pasta and the salmon - salmon was very flavorful Waitstaff was very kind!'

We had a great dinner here on an absolutely perfect summer evening. We got a nice spot with a great view, has excellent service and loved our dishes. We started with the bread that is not to be missed! It was worth the carbs. My wife's sea bass was stellar, perfectly cooked and delicious. I had the chicken and it was delicious, as well, and HUGE! 1/2 Chicken that is enough for two. They acknowledged my birthday which was nice and dessert was equally good. Drink prices, for cocktails and wine, are nutso. Our cocktails were good, but pretty weak and just too pricey to justify. Aside from this, it was a great meal!

AVEO Table + Bar at the Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach was honestly one of the most confusing dining experiences I've had in a while, because visually and service wise it felt like it was about to be amazing. My girlfriend and I came for Christmas brunch and on paper it sounded like a guaranteed win. Aesthetically it had everything going for it. Beautiful view, great ambience, a gorgeous looking spread, and the service was genuinely great. Staff was attentive, friendly, and kept everything moving smoothly. No complaints there at all. But man... the actual brunch was beyond disappointing especially for the price. It was $220 per person. Yes, $220 per person. At that price point you expect the food to be memorable, elevated, and worth the splurge. Instead it felt like a basic brunch buffet that didn't deliver on quality or flavor. A few examples the shrimp tasted like standard supermarket shrimp, nothing fresh or impressive. The oysters seemed off and were kind of warm which immediately made me nervous. The smoked salmon bagels had almost no flavor, and a lot of the other items were just average at best and honestly bland or dry. For $220 a head "average" shouldn't be part of the experience. The high notes were the bacon and a few pastries and donuts which were actually solid but that's not enough to justify what you're paying here. To make it even more frustrating the beverage situation felt cheap for the price. For $220 per person you get one complimentary glass of Chandon even though the whole setup had Veuve Clicquot branding and bottles everywhere like it was a branded brunch. To top it off there were no bottle mimosas only ordering drinks à la carte at $25-$30 each. So after paying $220 each and doing just two rounds of drinks we walked out feeling like we lit $600 on fire. Bottom line if this brunch was a quarter of the price id say it was a decent experience with a nice view. But at $220 per person it was a huge miss and nowhere near the level it should be. There are better holiday brunch options nearby like the Ritz Carlton that actually deliver premium food for premium prices.

Honestly we come here all the time & the service is never really that great but tonight reached another level. The manager's excuse was that the restaurant above closed unexpectedly but was a very half-assed apology, almost as if he really didn't care. We're in the service industry & expect a certain type of service coming to places like this. Drinks took almost 20 minutes, we saw our waitress ONE time, we only ordered appetizers & a salad because of the wait and ended up barely being tended to until we asked a busser for the check. Was a really disappointing experience.

Brunch at AVEO was absolutely spectacular. The view is truly gorgeous and made the whole experience feel special from the start. The service was fabulous, especially Kevin, who was extremely accommodating and made sure everything was perfect with our table. Staff was also very thoughtful, ensuring we had adequate heaters so we could comfortably enjoy the outdoor seating. The food was fresh and high quality, with the avocado toast as a standout dish. The coffee was delicious as well. We can't wait to come back.

Watermelon, heirloom tomato, buratta salad. Delicious

Beautiful beautiful restaurant !! Located in the Waldorf Astoria. We were staying here and we wanted to try them for lunch. I love the ambience, they have indoor and outdoor patio seating. The outdoor seating is just gorgeous, you can literally see the ocean from here. The service was fantastic, our server was so attentive, helpful and offered some suggestions of the menu and all of our dishes were fantastic. The chicken tortilla soup was good and the watermelon salad was so refreshing. The flavors of the buratta, the heirloom tomatoes, the watermelon, cucumbers was just a flavor burst in my mouth. I loved every bite. The peruvian stir fry was another great dish, I wish they had chicken but it was a good portion. I also enjoyed the plantain chips with the aioli on the side. Super expensive but that's what you get when you eat at a place like this. You are paying for the high quality food, the view and overall we enjoyed it. We would definitely come back and next time probably do a Sunday brunch.

We are staying at the Waldorf so we're able to just walk to the restaurant, they have amazing indoor and outdoor seating! We chose inside due to our baby. We ordered food and it took a while to order, however food came out relatively quick! They even gave us complimentary juice and a fruit arrangement for our daughter's first birthday! It is a nicer establishment with heat lamps outside with beautiful tiles. Inside is a fun little mix of bar to one side and then booth and table seating throughout the space. I would recommend breakfast here for sure! Can't wait to try dinner here one of the days!

Food wise I would say it's 3 stars bc I felt like I could cook what I ordered (dinner menu). We got a cheeseburger and fries, pasta alla vodka, and a kid's Mac and cheese. For the price and the fact that it's a Waldorf I do expect it taste as if I myself can't cook it but for sure I feel like I can make the pasta myself and a better kids Mac and cheese. However, the service and decor are excellent. We also had breakfast (buffet) here and the attention by the waitstaff was excellent. We waited a long time for a kid's waffle (a la carte) and they comped that. Very lovely ambiance and interior design and great service which is why I'm giving it a 4. But, I would recommend spending $20 - $30 more at another one of their restaurants in terms of food and menu. I don't know if it's because it was Christmas but the dinner menu did not have options compared to the menu pictures I saw on Yelp dated a month ago.

Kahani, the club lounge, and the Marketplace all delivered exactly what you expect from a hotel at this level: attentive, well-trained staff, seamless service, and a clear understanding of hospitality standards. That's why I've never focused on smaller issues before -- they didn't outweigh the overall quality of the stay. Unfortunately, Raya has now been the exception twice. The first time, back in January, the food quality wasn't on point-I ordered the blackened tuna tacos and they were completely inedible. I didn't complain or send them back -- I simply left it at that. Today was service from one particular server Taylor. I had just come down from the club lounge and remembered that I had a complimentary voucher given at check-in, which didn't specify what it covered on it. I first asked at the lobby bar and no one was able to provide a clear answer, so I went next door to Raya and asked again before ordering. The hostess told me I could choose anything and even recommended the skirt steak. She was kind and friendly. Taylor took my order, and I reasonably assumed there had been communication between staff. So I spent some time ordering and waiting and when my food arrived since I asked for a to go order, I grabbed the bag, tipped, and left. Then Taylor ran after me at the hotel entrance asking how I planned to pay -- in front of other guests. It was an extremely uncomfortable and bizarre situation. I didn't realize what has happened I was just handed the bill and I put my room number and name down. I was then told the voucher only covered guacamole, which directly contradicted what I had been told prior to ordering. As a result, I wasted approximately 40 minutes of my time, I was simply trying to head to the beach before departing, and instead found myself dealing with a situation that should have been handled internally and discreetly. When I handed the food back and said I did not want it, the response was "ok, I'll toss it," followed by no acknowledgment, no apology, and no effort to resolve the situation. At this point, this is no longer an isolated incident. For a restaurant positioned as fine dining, the lack of internal communication, consistency, and basic guest handling is surprising -- especially when every other outlet on the property demonstrates a significantly higher standard. Raya was the only part of the experience that felt misaligned with the rest of the hotel -- and unfortunately, it's the last impression I'm leaving with.

Katella Ave with as much traffic whizzing by as the 55 Fwy (which never whizzes). Ample free parking in the back and on the street makes this place even more attractive. Walk in the front door and you're in a quiet small dining room which is where I'm gonna be on the next visit where the loudest sound is breaking a Tortilla Chip in half as opposed to the main dining room where the sound can rival a World Cup game or New Years Eve at Hussong's in TJ. The boisterous party atmosphere in the main dining room eclipsed the Latin Loop and the vibe is controlled festivity. Conversations ratchet up depending on how many shooters are shot. The Decor: Some thought went into that. Thankfully there is no Mexi-Kitsch Ceramic Piggy Banks on bookshelves or Sombreros nailed to the walls neither of which really defines Latin culture. While the large menu is ambitious, it leans Mexican while reaching out to much of Latin America which was the concept and the intent. Inviting muted Earth tones and wood trim says date night. A comfy Bar with a flat screen for Margaritas and the World Cup shares the main dining room. Settle in and peruse the extensive menus for food and drink. Ice Water immediately appears. The Staff: Efficient and helpful. However, be advised the kitchen does not abide substitutions. I only wanted one Potato Taquito (they come as a trio) and one Al Pastor Taco Dorado (they comes as a pair). "Lo siento, senior, no es posible". I couldn't decide on a cocktail until I finally blurted out "Margarita". It was benign if you drink for effect. (read, it was Tequila weak). I gave it a stir without much success. The "no salt on the rim, please" came with salt on the rim. No matter, I'm flex. I swiped the rim with my napkin and forged ahead. Who goes there? Homey's and Hueros. The Food: It is "Latin" whatever that is. The menu is huge as stated and replete with dishes you'd identify as Mexican, ie; Tacos, Enchiladas, and Combos thereof, etc. However, there are also Cuban, Peruvian, Venezuelan and Columbian dishes too even though it's through a Mexican lens. It is, after all a Latin Fusion spot. Hummus Two Ways was intriguing. I instantly looked forward to a large basket of thick house made warm Tortilla Chips to scoop it all up with. Ah...no. The Bowl arrived with two Ice Cream scoops of something. One dark with Chipotle and Pepitas on top and the other a Pink scoop which looked like a Salmon schmear but was described by the Waiter as Chipotle. (It wasn't). No Salmon, no Chipotle and no tasty. The dark scoop had some nice heat, the Pink scoop was basically just Pink. Four store bought chips and and array of Carrot and Cucumber Spears to dispatch the scoops. I already knew better than to ask for more Chips. I didn't want another beat down. Hummus? I should have stayed in the Latin lane. Maybe El Mutatan should've too. Next, out came the Caesar Salad with grilled Chicken. The dressing wouldn't have impressed Caesar Cardini, a sprinkle of Cotija Cheese helped but the real star of the show was the Grilled Chicken which was exceptional. Hot, juicy and delicious. Kanpachi Veracruzano was a nice chunk of Yellowtail, cooked exactly the way it should be. It was firm and flaky yet translucent. The Fish was surrounded by "Sofrito". Nope, although it might have been a Line Cook's interpretation of Sofrito (which is a reduced Sauce/Gravy). Here Sofrito was simply whole Olives, Onion pieces and halved Cherry Tomatoes. Three house made Corn Tortillas which were very good and Corny ($4 for those) allowed me to DYI my own Fish Tacos which I had originally asked for and was told "Lo siento, senior, no esta en el menu". Ropa Viejo was wonderful. It usually appears as a lovechild of Fajitas and Machaca. Here, it is a Guisado (stew) with tasty Pinto Beans lurking beneath the Beef Bits in Sauce. It comes in large bowl big enough to bathe a Labrador Puppy in. It was just spicy enough, well thought out, and even better the next morning with two fried Eggs. El Matatan is Latin slang for "The Boss" "Expert" or a "Respected one". Okay, Jefe, I'm gonna go again.

Being nearly eight months pregnant, my expectations were especially high, and it is rare to find a place that meets them so well. From the seasoning of the food to the warm and attentive service, everything about this restaurant stands out. Although I don't recall my server's name, he was incredibly kind and provided excellent service throughout. The ambiance is also worth noting--the space is large, offers plenty of seating options, and even features a large TV, making it a great spot to relax or watch sports. To start, I ordered a watered mango juice along with a beef empanada. The empanada exceeded my expectations--despite being on the smaller side, it was packed with flavor. I enjoyed it so much that I ordered five more to go, which speaks for itself. They were served with fresh ají, a traditional sauce that complemented them perfectly. For my main course, I had the carne asada plate, which included steak, rice, beans, sweet plantains, avocado, tomato slices, and a small arepa. Every component of the dish was well-executed--the beans were flavorful, the meat was well-seasoned, and the overall plate felt authentic. It is often difficult to find truly authentic Colombian food, especially in San Diego, where options are limited or not genuinely Colombian. This restaurant, however, delivers on authenticity and flavor. The portion size was generous, and I ended up taking leftovers home to enjoy later. In addition to the empanadas (two chicken and three beef), I also ordered a buñuelo and a cheese arepa to go. Unfortunately, these items did not meet the same standard. The arepa lacked flavor and was overly greasy, and the buñuelo was dry and similarly oily, even after absorbing excess grease from the bag. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for Colombian food, especially given how rare it is to find quality options in this area. Friends of mine visited recently as well and thoroughly enjoyed their bandeja paisa, further confirming the consistency of the food. I will definitely be returning--especially for those empanadas.

On my way Bach to SD, I went for a glass of Chicha morada... OMG. If you know, you know I tried the yuca and half order of jalea, both were absolutely delicious. You definitely need to experience Peruvian cuisine here!

This restaurant has consistently been one of the better Peruvian spots I have tried and it always feels like a treat when I come here. My favorite dish is the breaded steak. It comes out with a crisp coating, tender meat, and a side of tasty rice. The small salad on the plate has a simple vinaigrette that brings a fresh, bright flavor to the meal. Before the food arrives they bring out complimentary bread with a spicy green sauce. It has a little heat but it pairs so well with the bread that you keep going back for more. Service has always been warm and welcoming. The staff checks in at the right pace and makes the visit feel relaxed. The restaurant is clean and well kept. It sits in a town center area with plenty of shopping and activities nearby, which makes it a convenient place to bring the family. Sometimes parking can be a pain, but it's manageable. Overall, Inka Mamas is a great choice when you want flavorful and comforting Peruvian food. I highly recommend it for families, date nights, or anyone who wants something different from the usual dining options.

The scallop aguachiles were incredibly fresh, bright, and beautifully balanced. The chicken wings were perfectly crispy with amazing flavor, and the branzino was cooked to perfection--tender, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The chorizo pizza was another standout with the perfect combination of smoky, savory toppings and a fantastic crust. Our server was professional, attentive, and knowledgeable, making the entire dining experience even more enjoyable. We were also excited to see the new wine list, which offers some excellent selections and pairs beautifully with the menu. Hearth has consistently delivered exceptional food, service, and atmosphere over the years. It's wonderful to see them continue to evolve while maintaining the quality that made us fall in love with the restaurant in the first place. We can't wait to come back again! -- Melissa & Dave

During lunch their atmosphere is very calm and light. With natural tones, skylights, and nice background noise. It was still easy to talk without raising our voices but there was always a nice humm of noise around us. The service was perfect with the waiter coming quickly to take our drink, appetizer and pizza order as well as getting us water right off the bat. Everyone was so nice it felt like we were all friends. The food was awesome. We got the chicken wings, bread and butter, and mushroom pizza. The bread was fresh out of the oven with a little black char. The butter was fresh with herbs and garlic it seemed. The chicken wings were breaded fried and tossed with dry rub. They were also amazing with their ranch that had just the right amount of dill in it so it was still a proper ranch. (Some places just taste like dill sauce at this point.) The mushroom pizza stood alone as a great pizza and was even better for us dipped into that ranch. Overall I wish we had a Hearth in the San Fernando Valley but this was worth coming to moorpark to try this amazing food. I will definitely be bringing more friends and family back soon!
