He obviously makes loads of money and does not need repeat or referral business. After his all caps, highlighted in red and twice increased font size reply to my email requesting clarity - I chose to take my business elsewhere. After all, there are many loan officers in Atlanta who appreciate their clients or at least can pretend they do. Customer Care: Please review the 4 emails previously sent between loan officer Rodney Mason and myself. As you can see, I ask for a withdraw on several occasions with no response. After I inquired on current % rate(s) I was then sent numerous emails from two employees demanding I pay the loan/appraisal fee ($825.00) prior to 10 day due diligence period ending and or the contract to go "binding". I let both loan officers know that the home inspection had not been completed and the HUD inspector had not been out either. He lied and mis-represented, explaining I needed to pay prior immediately prior to the loan going to underwriting. I did so with hesitation, and expressed so via email. This loan has been requested to be withdrawn in writing, via txt, and by phone days ago. This loan should not still be active in your system nor should Guaranteed Rate still be holding $825.00 for an appraisal that was never ordered for a contract that never went binding. Still waiting a response.

That didn't stop him from having us get started (an out of pocket payment of $400) with the 203K consultant of his choice. I stopped working with him at that point, because we were told we had to pay for even MORE services OUT OF POCKET before the loan could be approved - - all before knowing if we even QUALIFIED! Find someone who cares about you & your money. P.S. - this is my second review. SOMEBODY had my first review flagged & removed by Yelp, claiming I did not give enough detail. Is THIS enough detail?
