BEWARE THE SHADY PRACTICES OF CAPITAL SECURITY - I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE…read more We had Capital Security monitor our home's previously installed security system until we moved. We called and canceled and everything appeared to be in order. Six months later we received an invoice for six months additional service.We of course called to resolve the mix up only to be met with owner attempts to strong arm us into paying for a service we had canceled. We explained that we had canceled only because we had moved to a new home and could even send him the phone bill to prove we did, in fact, call on the date we canceled the service. The owner did not care. The owner said we can either pay the amount billed, be turned over to collections and if we dispute the charges, he will use a punitive clause in the contract and attempt to force us to pay for five years of service. He sent us a copy of the contract which wasn't even completely filled out. The area referring to a five year cumulative charge was suspiciously void of any initialing or signatures. I unfortunately do not have the time to go to small claims court with this issue so I had little choice but to pay or have my credit ruined by this thug. I am simply posting this to warn others of my ordeal and to seek out a more honest person to monitor the security of their home. AVOID BEING SWINDLED BY CAPITAL SECURITY!
