I just turned 75 and decided it was time to make my life a little easier. I figured it was time to…read moreclear all the flower gardens over run with weeds, the small trees, and out of control bushes that my front yard was a refuge for. Basically I just wanted grass to mow and be done with it. I also thought that it was time to replace the weed-laden garden that bordered my house with a nice rock border with a weed barrier underneath to keep it clear of invasive weeds. I called Robert Brown based on the great reviews he had on here and hoped for the best. I have had issues in the past with hiring handymen who either did shoddy work, or never finished the job after they convinced me to give them payment because of an urgent need. I decided this time I was going to hire a professional and not get fooled again. Rob showed up personally and listened carefully to what I had in mind and gave me a great price estimate which I only replied with "when can you start?" He showed up with his assistant Boo, and his mini Kubota tractor and digger and jumped right on re-configuring my front yard. They worked at an accelerated pace, and I could not believe how fast and professionally they accomplished their task at hand. Rob even made a few suggestions that made more work for himself, but refused to change the price, even though I offered to pay more. He said: "It's not about the money for me, I just want to make my customers happy." My neighbor came over to watch and was amazed at how fast they got the job done. Rob is a wizard with that tractor and even yanked out an impossible to get rid of crepe myrtle tree with ease! They finished the job by installing the rock border and replaced the border blocks I had from before to make a perfect job! The work was done quickly and professionally, everything was cleaned up and hauled away, and you could see the honest pride Rob took in his work as he showed my wife and me the finished project. I can't say enough about this man, Robert Brown. He is one thing that is extremely rare these days, a sincere man! What a pleasure, and an honor to have met him and his hard working assistant! Call him and you will be glad you did!

I've used Amazing Blades for my biweekly mowing for the past year and have had good service until…read morerecently. In February, they installed a French drain completely wrong and then tossed sod in an area known with drainage issues - adding to the drainage issues. The job was so bad I hired another company to come out and fix it. Fix it they did and they put new sod down on my entire backyard, regraded, and sunk and drained out two gutter downspouts for a small amount more than Amazing Blades charged me for the ONE French drain. ("amazing" blades did come out with an offer to fix all the issues but at this point I didn't want nor trust them to fix the mess they made that's how mad and what a bad job they did- the new landscapers where absolutely shocked at the mess they made - they had installed a pop up drain outputting directly under my fence! to name a few issues). Fast forward to this week when they came out to mow my lawn. I had marked two peonies in BRIGHT BLUE PAINTERS TAPE. Tape on the top of the peonies from one to the other - they were only about 7 inches tall and I checked to ensure the tape was still in place about an hour before they arrived to mow. Well, they mowed over the peonies (and tiny shreds of evidence were all over the yard - bright blue painters tape is hard to miss, so I thought) so I emailed and asked why. They said they didn't see the peonies and then checked with a "manager" who said there was no tape there. So, basically telling me I lied. I never asked for a replacement or anything - just wondered why they mowed them down when they were obviously marked. Their response that I wasn't telling the truth - no apology, no "we're so sorry it won't happen again" zilch was all I need to know about them and that my money is better spent elsewhere. There are far too many good and decent companies around here to be treated that way and that are experienced landscapers. Be warned.

Over time, the crews changed multiple times and service occasionally suffered. On a few occasions I had them return to fix a less than adequate mowing or edging area. This year started off with a different crew. The use of obviously unskilled labor resulted in them destroying a 30' bed of thriving liriope with a weed-whacker. Management did not take responsibility and made it seem like our fault. Last year, indiscriminate use of weed killer harmed and ultimately killed a small Japanese maple that had been growing for over 10 years. We have both discontinued use of this company. There are many companies that service this area. I'm sure there are better ones.

My husband and I were in the market for palms, but we were not satisfied with other nurseries. By chance, we were driving back to MB from a recent trip and noticed this nursery on the south side of Route 544, just west of Socastee. We decided to come back in a few days and we did. We met with Trina, who was as helpful as she could be, we were very satisfied with the price quote and left a deposit. Less than 2 weeks later, Matt and his crew came to my home and in less than one hour had all the trees planted, they even moved one young bush for me too. Matt gave me instructions on caring for our new plants and reminded me if I had any questions to feel free to call. I am delighted with my palms and how they look on my property and I will hire him again to plant more in the future. I am thoroughly satisfied with hiring this crew for their personalized care, professionalism, politeness, diverse stock of vegetation and how neat they worked.

Wanted to plant some palm trees and shopped at different places comparing prices and quality. Four Seasons has a nice variety and were very knowledgeable about the different varieties. The price quoted is the planting price, which is awesome! We decided on a Pindo , Sago and a Palmetto. Matt came out 5 days later and planted all. They look great! We will be back next year for our backyard. Thanks so much Matt and Trina at Four Seasons!
