And I was right, there's finally axe throwing in Ann Arbor and I could not be more pumped! The facility was clean and had plenty of room to accommodate for big groups. This was my first time throwing an axe so one of the employees, Connor showed me how to do it and I ended up loving it! I know there's another location in Detroit, but it's so nice to finally have one in Ann Arbor and conveniently right beside not one but two bars! Came here for a team outing on a Monday, so only the 1st floor was available. Once I got my wristband from the front counter, the employee walked over to the cashier area and took care of our food tickets. They did not have nearly enough staff to accommodate how many people were there. Once we were done with food and drinks, it was go time for the games. The wristband got us into laser tag, a few arcade games, bumper cars, bull riding, obstacle course, and slides. It ended up being a great time despite the chaos in the beginning. My suggestion would be to have someone at the front welcoming people and asking them where they were going/what they planned to do. Terribly overpriced (think airport pricing) and poorly made drinks. The staff was very young and inexperienced while the "manager" on shift that night was obviously exceptionally high (could tell from his smell and severely impaired motor skills). I don't care for these types of establishments in general (game based experience for adults) but this was so bad that I feel compelled to warn others to keep your distance.
