I hired Ayala Painting to paint my moms entire house in Millsboro De in the beginning of August 2021. The project took two weeks for completion and included painting all walls, trim and ceilings for 8 rooms, removed kitchen and dining room wallpaper, removed chair rail in dining room, repaired wall damage, skim coated two bathrooms, painted the deck floor and picnic bench, refaced all the kitchen cabinets, painted the garage door and finally power washed the entire house exterior. Ayala came in for what we thought would be a simple wall paper removal, skim coat and paint job. However, they found many issues with our plaster, and instead of just painting over it and hoping for the best they went above and beyond, helping us decide the best course of action for moving forward. We had a few other items that they were able to complete without a hiccup and they were on time, quick, professional and extremely detail oriented. They did a fantastic job on crown molding In our bedroom - it looks like a completely new room! Their constant professionalism is to be admired, and the painting absolutely wonderful. Tried to contract with Ayala Painting but it didn't work out. When I received their contract and estimate it had errors that indicated they did not take good notes on what I wanted done. This job included exterior painting of the trim and shutters of my whole house as well as two rooms inside the house. The total bid was several thousand dollars which I was willing to pay to get the work completed. My second concern was with the 40% down payment. This seemed excessive. When I tried several times to reach them by phone to discuss this I could never reach them. There was a generic voicemail greeting which led me to believe they had gone out of business. My calls were never returned. I cannot do business with this company as a result. read more

We had our home, deck, and walkways power washed as part of a spring clean up and the results were fantastic! Our home has a combination of stucco and stone and the team took great care in protecting the delicate stucco while managing to remove any and all ugly stains. Different crew came on time as scheduled for interior painting, power wash & exterior painting of the whole house. The price quoted was very reasonable. All teams are excellent. They worked very hard. I am most impressed with their DETAILED and careful work. They scraped a lot of the old paint off; repaired/patched every little wood work that is necessary. New paint was skillfully applied without mess. Area was cleaned completely at end of each day. The workers are very polite, well mannered. If you want a professional job done by a bunch of perfectionists, then choose Ayala. I needed my exterior trim done including doors and doorways with some repairs for some rotting at the bottom of doorways. After looking through Angie's List, NextDoor and Houzz, I called Ayala for an estimate. Mr. Ayala came out to do an estimate and arrived exactly on time. We went through and looked at everything and talked about what needed doing. He ended the short appointment by saying he'd send me an estimate for everything soon. The estimate arrived the next day and they answered my questions about it promptly (I watch a lot of judge shows which has made me paranoid). The office indicated they were about 2-3 weeks out and would come by before to do the power wash (my steps have never been so clean and they even cleaned off my old rocking chairs) and then make repairs and paint on a certain week. I was out of town when they did the powerwash but got to see the results when I returned home. And they literally showed up the day they said they would and started doing extensive prep work for painting (my house is old and there were layers upon layers of paint) as well as the repairs on the rotting doorways. It took them a couple of days to do all the prep and paint work. The results are amazing! I am so incredibly pleased with how the paint turned out and how pristine they left the areas in which they painted. I am pretty sure my porch hasn't been this clean in 10 years. I had to do nothing for prep or clean-up - everything was taken care of by the painters. I have no reservations about recommending Ayala painting. And they are reasonably priced compared to other painting contractors in the area. (Do not compare prices between real painters and people who bought a ladder and a few brushes.) Pluses: 1. Showed up when they said they were going to. 2. Beautiful work. 3. No requirements of me so I had to do nothing. 4. Left the place cleaner than they found it. Unprofessional. I made my first appointment with them via phone and no one showed up. When I called to inquire the secretary said someone should have called me because the estimator was out of town. So I made another appointment. Mr. Ayala called to say he was running late which was fine. He walked through my house, we explained the project and he said he would have an estimate for us by Friday. We waited.... I called about a week later and left a few messages. Never heard back. That was a couple months ago. They wasted my time. I could have gotten another estimate. I called an hour after the appointment time, to find out their status, thinking they were running late. Got an answering machine, so I left a message. Called again later in the day, and asked that someone call me back to find out what happened. NEVER got a call back. Don't bother with this company. I decided on Ayala Painting after reading such wonderful reviews about their work. They did not disappoint. I started by having them paint one of my bedrooms that had 2 small holes in the ceiling from a swing. They patched them, primed the walls and did a fantastic job. You cannot see any evidence of the holes. I then had them paint the exterior of my home. Their pricing was very fair, they communicated with me throughout the entire process which I very much appreciated. They were very knowledgeable in painting our stucco and cedar. They pressure washed the house first and repaired any rotted wood, including our cupola over our garage. They were very respectful while at my home and left everything spotless every day.
