Hire this Guardian if you are looking for: *Someone who falsely claims mental illness without medical evidence, in violation of South Carolina law. I have written records showing these unsupported claims were made. *Someone who bases custody recommendations on allegations not supported by admissible evidence. *Someone who commits perjury -- that is, making false statements under oath. I have copies of sworn filings and transcripts that contradict her testimony. *Someone who drives up costs with unnecessary filings and litigation abuse. *Someone who breaches privacy and engages in coercive tactics against a parent. *Someone who appears to favor the opposing party's family rather than remaining neutral. If you want fairness, truth, and your children's best interests respected, I cannot recommend Emily Ayers. My experience was the opposite: coercion, defamation, and disregard for both ethical and legal standards -- and I have the records to back that up. Picture if you can, a perversely twisted family court system whereby loving fathers are kicked around and forced to undergo certain processes thrown at them by the other parties. Processes that you do not get to ask "why must I do this"? Why must I continue to pay multiple times with multiple thousands of dollars if I've done nothing"? (They're ordering the test, they should pay, or split it 50/50, how dare I ask that, I'm a little nusance to them, I'm not to ask such questions. Shut up and write the check. I never had any choice, yet the same was never asked of her, not once, for you see, they are protected. Processes include, but are not limited to -- three hair follicle tests, two psychological examinations and be Johnny on the Spot when they call you to getup off your knees, just for a moment to do what is told, then return to your knees. Why must I pay five guardian ad litems (GAL) thousands of dollars in retainers to each? Why must I pay a supervisor (three in total) hourly fees, their expenses and lets not leave out entertainment and food. Why must I pay a therapist thousands of dollars and attend every week? (three of those as well I believe) What have I done? My charge is that I wanted to see my son. Float for the tide or swim for the goal? Its already been written, you can't change whats to become of you -- and we, the appointed certainly will not, the money is so good. We can sip martinis together in tne back of your boat -- or mine. They arrested me in court and next thing I know I'm in a no windowed hot as you know what bus- only white guy in the pen. Its rough joint, trust me--but I'm kinda that peace loving guy that is kinda big and awful strong and willing to fight to the death if provoked so I was fine, when a lanky 6'5 guy that was eyeing my tray the to touch my tray? Ms Ayers was assigned to represent my daughter in a custody case. When we first met, she rushed our meting except to collect my retainer. My attorney had sent over to her, the basic facts of the case and we began to speak with her, she wasn't aware of the fact that my wife had taken my daughter out of her home state, and fled to TN, while I was at work!! This was the reason for the case! A Guardian is supposed to meet both parents, see their homes and the child interact wih teach parent. Ayers had 2 1/2 years to do this and never met my wife until the 1st day of the trial! She never saw the trailer that my wife and daughter are living in. she did however, check my 4 bedroom home with a fenced in yard. And a community with a pool. Ms Ayers has a toddler and didn't want to leave her child to fulfill her duties by going to TN to check the trailer my wife and child are living in or my daughter interact with her mother! I believe that because she has a a child around the same age, she was extremely bias. I found her main objective was to do as little as she could and bill as much as she could, Always billing, but never DOING anything except making phone calls to my wife and writing letters, you would think she represented my wife instead of my daughter. Emily was appointed to be Guardian of my son in a Family Court case. Over a two year period, she met my son twice and spoke to him on the phone just a few times. The negligence of information pertaining to the child was horrendous. It took many attempts to get her to speak to my son. If she's appointed Guardian of your case, beware.
