They always have offers on like 3 for 2 or buy one get one free so it gives you more value for money than the other shops. They could do with more of a range of baby products in my opinion and maybe more offers on them too but on a whole it's a great supermarket!

Of course, that's not to take anything away from the shelf stackers and dudes that put the reduced stuff out - they work hard for a presumably low wage and can only do so much. As you'd expect this place has everything you could possibly need, including a cafe and also as per expectations it is as faceless and commercial as Madonna drinking Coca Cola wearing a Primark top. If at all possible, divert your course and see if you can get enough fresh veg to feed your family from the market instead - but most of the time I can't because stores like this have killed local business and I too must shop there. Go about 8pm-9pm weekdays for the best reduced bargains. Stick it to the man!

Quality food The staff wear some stange uniform which always gets on my nerves. They are not partically helpful either. Parking isnt great and traffic around this area can be very busy. Management of this store is very poor, shelves seem to low on stock and vast spaces in the store suggest the business is reducing offerings and fundamentally progressing towards closure. Car-park (lower level) park at your own risk, supports everywhere as if the upper level is going to collapse. Shame this used to be a thriving business, either bad management or a severe lack of investment (or a combination of both). Go to sainsburys nearby, much better supermarket.

If you've never visited Pak Foods then it is recommended, especially if you like to cook - you will often find ingredients here that you won't always find in your more mainstream supermarkets. Parking can be an issue if you need to buy a lot of food as there are lots of parking restrictions on Normanton Road.

It has definately changed…read morefor the better over the years with a post office now included into the mix and a much larger selection of products than before. Obviously the prices aren't brilliant and you'd get much better value for your money at the larger chains but it's still a nice atmosphere to do a bit of grocery shopping in. Being at the heart of the Saffron Lane estate, everybody knows each other and you're always greeted with a friendly smile and chat when you're shopping. The shop is a lot cleaner than it used to be and has really branched out selling magazines and a lot more frozen products than it used to. The only downside is that they have no trollies if you're intending to do a larger shop and I always notice that the bread seems a bit battered everytime I go in. They do however have the most amazing fresh pasties at their fresh produce counter.
