EDIT** I did not use a single swear word, his in the only one that did.** I hired this guy after I got my first traffic ticket in 6 years. He initially told me he could ask for a dismissal since it was first violation in 6 years. I was told I received a deferral and that the ticket would be dismissed after. But then I was advised that I need to still enter a plea on it and claim nolo. Had I known that I needed to use up my nolo plea, I would have just gone to court and done that myself and gotten zero points. I didn't need to pay an attorney to do something I could have done for myself. I eventually had to go down to the court house in person to sort it out without the attorney, they told me I didn't need to make a plea. Which was even more confusing. I think if he just took 10 minutes to explain everything clearly it would have made this entire experience really different. The professionalism was lacking and the outcome left a lot to be desired. I also learned because they only take Zelle that there is no way to request a refund or dispute service like with a card payment so there is little recourse for clients if anything were to go south. read more

Regretfully I have to report a very poor experience with AZ Law Firm and Mari Garza. Communication was extremely poor. Strategy was lacking or ill-conceived. We were consistently left feeling like the attorney cared more about appeasing opposing council than in working for the interests of the client. And truly never felt heard by the attorney. Repeatedly repeatedly repeatedly the same point needed to be shared with the attorney and still they would agree to items presented by the opposing party that were illogical and poorly thought through. In the midst of challenging circumstances, the AZ Law team and Mari never demonstrated any empathy, any understanding or any real care about the impact of what was going on to the client. Cold, heartless, unsympathetic. And in the end very unhelpful. They charged significant fees without making any positive impact to the case. Good people, bad people, who's to know. But as attorneys we were not impressed or well represented by the AZ Law team. Look elsewhere if you need protection against a legal or civil wrong. read more

Anyone who has found themselves in the unfortunate position of getting a divorce, do not look any further than Chris Villarreal of McFerrin & Zayed, PLLC. I'm sure I don't speak for myself when saying this, but there's a huge difference between giving up and knowing when you've had enough. The hardest part of the process is knowing it's time to get a divorce. Typically the second hardest is finding the best lawyer to represent you. Chris came highly (and I mean HIGHLY) recommended and I couldn't be happier. From our very first phone call, I knew I had made the right decision. I immediately felt relaxed; as if I was speaking to a best friend. Chris explained the process in such a way that was easy to understand, allowed me to ask questions (even the truly dumb ones), and made me feel at ease. Chris was sympathetic to my situation, built up my confidence, and made sure that any decision made was done so in partnership with his knowledge and advice. I never felt like I was being pushed one way or the other into a decision I wasn't comfortable with; I never EVER felt as if I was just a paycheck to him - I was a person first, and his client second. He was there when I needed reassurance or when I was scared. Jackie was there to answer questions and was swift to reply. I can't say enough about the whole experience. It was bad enough going through a divorce during one of the worst pandemics the country as ever experienced, but to reach the end in a better position then when I started is truly a testament to the quality of representation offered by McFerrin & Zayed - especially that of Chris Villarreal. The worst customer service I have ever experienced at a lawyers office that you pay for, We were there to revise a will and that is difficult because you need witnesses and he didn't have his stuff ready and he was very unapologetic and at the time four people walked in without a mask both attorneys had no mask and he was so rude that I asked him to put the mask on and says I'm 8 feet away from you I was spraying anti-septic on my hands he tells me you're spraying that stuff like your life depends on it, I need a double lung transplant what an idiot to say that yes my life depends on it!! read more

These guys were awesome. While living in Kyle for 2 years, I incurred a couple traffic violations. I moved to Boston (forgetting to pay both of them), and was surprised to see a bench warrant and a bill for over $2,000 show up in my mailbox months later. Filing a Grievance with State Bar of Texas against Ashraf Zayed. Unable to disclose details. I do not recommend him at all for criminal cases. Doesn't know what he is doing. My case he goofed big with a mess to figure out. He left me stranded without me knowing my accuser which is US Constitution Right as well as Texas statue. I requested it but denied due to lack of knowledge. First fee was one amount then out of blue came up with another amount. I had to bring up the discrepancy. No contract offered or receipt of payment. Poor intial interview. Only text contact which became irritating. I had to ask for a legal document instead of common sense by Ash would be needed by me for closure of my case and legal paper to retain to in case of any errors in legal process. He has left me in a very stressful and emotionally draining situation. read more
