My partner and I had our wedding here on 4/29/23. It was AMAZING! Martha and Lance went out of their way to make it everything we wanted it to be. We had 40 guests and about half of those stayed at the bed and breakfast the night of the wedding. There is a huge room upstairs that has a very large bathroom with many mirrors. It's the perfect spot for the bride and bridesmaids to get ready. They decorated beautifully and the hors d'oeuvres they had at the reception were delicious. It was the absolute perfect day, and we're so grateful to Martha, Lance and the Azalea Plantation for making it everything we hoped it would be. read more

We met both Martha and Richard, the owners, right after we arrived Monday afternoon. I had asked for the Elopement Package and the Evening in Paris Cottage, which is a separate 2 bedroom area behind the old Plantation style home. They have two of these at the back of the property; the Paris is upstairs so keep that in mind when making reservations as you will have to climb some stairs. I've stayed in many bed and breakfast homes across the US and I'd have to say this is at or near the top of my favorites list after this visit. My fiancée and I wanted something special, and I ran across this place in a Google search. After doing some research I called and made the reservations for 2 days so that we could be married at 9:30 in the morning. Martha took care of everything. Tuesday we had a minister, a short walk to the gazebo on a rose petal covered silk runner, and of course our wedding vows. Martha used my camera to take some pictures. Thanks Martha! In our room, Flowers, a hand decorated plate with our names and wedding date on it, and a wedding cake. They offered a bottle of wine or champagne and chocolate covered strawberries in the evening. Before we left Wednesday morning we had a wonderful omelet, fruit, cinnamon covered English muffin, and some really tasty sausage covered with some sweet chipotle... I loved it! The chocolate cookies they gave to us when we arrived were just out of the oven, and I have to say they might be the best chocolate cookies I've ever eaten. They were S 'mores chocolate cookies in case you are interested. I don't just give 5 stars at random. When you can have an experience that is close to flawless 5 stars sometimes isn't even enough. My husband and I decided to take a last minute getaway the weekend of May 5 and 6. We were fortunate to find an available room at this lovely B&B, and even luckier to be able to upgrade due to a cancellation. We stayed in the Magnolia Cottage, which was very spacious and comfortable. We loved the big bathroom with the huge walk-in shower and Jacuzzi. The bed was comfy in a way that hotel beds never seem to be. From the warm cookies to the quiet garden spaces, everything was restful, welcoming and charming. The location was surprisingly convenient to local eateries, the Stockyards, and really everything we wanted to do. Even the prettiest B&B is nothing without the hosts, however. Martha and Richard could not have been more friendly and helpful. I think our favorite thing about Azalea was breakfast: tasty food served with pleasant conversation and intriguing company. These folks have led interesting lives, and we heard some great stories. If you want to know anything about local history, cowboying or the Chisolm trail, Richard is your man. Martha is an accomplished woman with a twinkle in her eye, the type of Texas lady we always call a firecracker. They will make certain you are well taken care of. We will definitely return, and I feel quite confident recommending Azalea Plantation to anyone looking for a top-notch place to stay in Fort Worth. read more

I absolutely love this place. Over a year ago, my husband and I had to cancel our wedding due to a very unfortunate incident. We still wanted a wedding, but a small ceremony with just family, and we wanted something special. I ended up finding this place and saw that they would put together a small ceremony - they would do all of it, which I needed because of my health at the time. My gosh - it ended up so perfect. The setting was gorgeous, we had everything we needed and the owners went over and beyond - and they are so kind. Anyway, I'll never ever forget that day - with such fond memories. Of we stayed the night at this beautiful place and the room was so cozy - it was everything we could want. This B&B is truly a gem. Martha and Richard are pleasant hosts. We were greeted with fresh cookies at check in to the Paris suite, and then I had a massage booked with Maria. Ask for her by name. It was the best massage I've had. For a fun afternoon try the Antique Mall that Martha & Richard have a booth in. We had lunch at the Secret Garden Tearoom in the mall. Delish! If you're looking for a fancy night out be sure to try Eddie V's. It's a seafood restaurant that makes amazing steaks as well. Overall this stay has been refreshing and very enjoyable. The bathroom had a whirlpool tub with plenty of room to get ready as well as a cute little balcony to sit out on. Breakfast was amazing. Martha and Richard are a beautiful couple, with so much love and attention to their guests! Had a wedding to attend in downtown Fort Worth. I came across this beautiful B&B on Trip Advisor, Yelp, and numerous other sites. The top reviews are on par! My boyfriend and I stayed in the newly renovated Magnolia Suite, which is the bottom floor of the little cottage in the back of the main house. It was BEAUTIFUL, clean, comfortable. We were greeted with cookies and a plate with our names on it. The walk in shower was PERFECT. They provide plenty of clean towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner...even bath bubbles for the jacuzzi! For breakfast in the morning, Martha was a tremendous chef -- it tasted fresh, and as someone who doesn't get to cook often, it was rejuvenating to have a home cooked meal. If we have to attend anything in Fort Worth again, I would definitely stay here. I will also recommend it to family and friends. This place is a timeless, and incredible time travel to another day and age. My wife and I have stayed here twice - once on our wedding night, and again on our 10 year anniversary. We were even more impressed the second time around. The house is nestled back on a heavily wooded lot with a path down to the creek. An outdoor fireplace and party lit patio make for a relaxing glass of wine in the evening. We stay in the Magnolia House, a.k.a. "honeymoon suite", which is absolutely PERFECT. The owners/in-keepers are absolutely delightful. The rooms and cottages are so warm/welcoming and comfortable we could literally spend days there. Oh, and the breakfast, which was brought to us to our room where we ate in bed was delicious! Worth every penny. *Disclaimer: this is a real deal, legit B&B. It ain't no air bnb. We chose the Azalea Plantation Bed and Breakfast for a 2-day girlfriend getaway. Nestled in a city of Fort Worth neighborhood, it was convenient to any local attraction or restaurant we wanted to check out. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the gracious innkeepers and hosts, Martha and Richard and given a tour of the house and its amenities. In addition to our suite, there are rooms within their beautiful, homey inn and relaxing outdoor spaces where you gather, socialize, play games or quietly sneak away to read. Our suite was located in the downstairs of the carriage house located at the back of the inn. It was equipped with a beautiful, recently renovated private bath that had an amazing spacious shower and large whirlpool tub. The bed and linens were ample and comfy. The room was spacious and comfortable with sitting as well as eating space. The mini kitchen was modestly equipped with a microwave and fridge stocked with complimentary water and soft drinks. Upon our arrival to the suite, a plate of cookies and a personal greeting welcomed us. There are also fixin's to make coffee. Martha made sure we were thoroughly informed with how the TV remote worked, WiFi codes, breakfast time, etc... In the morning, the coffee was hot and readily available. Hot water for tea and juice were also available. The beautiful long dining room table was elegantly set with water goblets, cloth napkins and beautiful dishes. Being early in the week, we were the only guests at the inn. Our hosts joined us for a yummy and delightfully presented breakfast of waffles topped with fresh fruit, Texas pecans and a dollop of whipped cream accompanied by delicious sausage balls. Our 2nd day breakfast were omelettes, bacon, ambrosia salad with fresh fruit and a sweet treat. We especially enjoyed having our hosts all to ourselves for engaging conversations that lasted, I'm sure, way beyond normal breakfast time. Martha is an excellent and experienced hostess with fantastic attention to detail when serving you your most important meal of the day, which I greatly appreciated. She will ask you about any food allergies and dislikes you might have and confirms breakfast time for maximum freshness and hot food. For two hardworking moms getting away from the rigors of family life for a couple of days, we felt pampered and well taken care of. This was probably my fifth Bed and Breakfast experience and by far the best. The accommodations were spot on and the innkeepers, gracious and well organized...if you've been to other B and B's where the breakfast seems chaotic, you know what I mean. Mom and dad had the magnolia room which had an adorable kitchen two bathtubs sofa chairs a mini living room and king bedroom private they are like tiny houses and so cute private safe parking. We couldn't be happier with the three days and two nights we spent in Fort Worth and at the Azelea Plantation. Martha and Richard were attentive and very caring hosts. For breakfast, Martha prepared a buffet covered in tasty dishes and we ate in the beautiful dining room full of antiques and vintage China. Our room was upstairs in the main house. The room was spacious and the bed and sheets were very very comfy. The large backyard looked out over a creek and there were several different seating areas that were private and perfect to enjoy in the early morning with a hot cuppa coffee. My husband and I just spent the weekend at this B & B. The stay exceeded my expectations. I called ahead to ask if ok if we checked in later than the time they gave which was only an hour later, by Martha was gracious about it. The breakfasts were exceptional as well and I loved the personal touch of having everyone eat together, that included the owners. They were great at keeping the conversation going among all of us. We loved our room and especially the jacuzzi tub which is extra large that can fit two people. As for Martha and Richard, we thoroughly enjoyed our conversations with them. We had such an enjoyable stay at this lovely plantation style B&B near historic Fort Worth. I cannot say enough good things about Richard and Martha. We just loved them! We were celebrating our Anniversary and the extra package that we purchased was wonderful. We had chilled champagne, chocolate covered strawberries (AMAZING) and a decorated plate with our names and date commemorating our Anniversary. If you're considering an upgraded package go ahead and do it. If it's anything like ours was you will be very happy. If you don't already have your days planned Martha is full of ideas for things to do and will even provide a map of the area with things marked on them. Make sure you wake up hungry because they are wonderful cooks. We enjoyed every minute we spent there. The hospitality is so delightful we didn't want to leave. My husband and I stayed in the Paris suite for two nights in February just before Valentine's Day. Having traveled to Paris, France, we found the room to be very similar to something we would have stayed in there! The bed was very comfortable and the suite size was generous with an extra bedroom not even mentioned in the description. I have been to many a B&B across the nation and this is now definitely one of my favorites. I went with 2 of my friends for a mom's getaway and we stayed in the Evening in Paris cottage/suite in the back of the main house. The suite has a king bed and an queen in the additional room. Everything about the decor spelled feminine "creature comforts." Yellow walls, lots of toile and chintz china decor... The innkeepers were a lovely couple who greeted us warmly and had delicious chocolate chip cookies for us in the room. We moms took advantage of the beautiful seating area and comfy bed to stay up late, talking for hours! Speaking of the bed, the sheets are to die for and can be purchased there at the B&B. Breakfast was one of the most scrumptious I've had and we asked for recipes afterwards, which were freely given. Afterwards, we spent time talking in the covered gazebo in the wooded area in back until it was time to leave. I DEFINITELY want to bring my husband back here. I'm not one to go back to the same places, but I definitely would make an exception here. Can't say enough good things about this wonderful B&B. read more
