    Arrow Powder Coating

    Arrow Powder Coating

I checked out Arrow Powder Coating to get my summer wheels done before I put them back on my car. I…read morecalled for a quote, and they were super straight forward about the cost and the time it would take to get them back. The price was very competitive but the time to get them done seemed a little long (8 business days). The wheels are a second set and I live downtown, so despite the wait, I decided to go with them. 3 business days later I get a call saying they're done! Wow! Way a head of schedule and a nice surprise. But this is where it really gets good. I drive over, pay them and pull in. They bring them over on a palette all wrapped in plastic like they're brand new and I see them. So shiny. Too shiny. I had decided to go for a satin finish for the wheels because I'm not a huge fan of high gloss, and these were much shinier than the sample. They look amazing but it was not what I was expecting. I go back inside the office to tell the super sweet lady in there that I'm happy with the outcome and I'll take the wheels, but they're a lot glossier than I expected. She said she'd go grab someone and bring him over. Not even 1 minute later (I was expecting to wait for a while) this dude (who's one of those guys where you just instantly know he'd be a total blast to have a beer with) comes over, takes one look, pulls out the sample, checks, sees what I see and then exclaims, "how about we give ya a hundred bucks back?" Again, wow. Wasn't expecting that at all. I took the money, I took the wheels, but they took my heart and I'll be a customer for life. I look forward to a long future of excellent work by these guys. Can't recommend highly enough. TLDR: 5 stars. Totally worth it. Everyone there is super friendly, accommodating and professional.

I play with lots of cars and use several forms of media blasting for various purposes. My shop uses…read morewalnut shells to clean intake ports on German cars, and I have a blast cabinet for restoring old rusty/crusty parts. I buy all of my media and blasting accessories at IDS. I understand they also do blasting and even powdercoating if you don't have your own equipment. In fact, I'll be trying them out for some powdercoating in the near future.

On Suggestion from a friend, I took a pickup tool box, in and asked them for an estimate, they…read morereplied its a digital counter, I asked them to blast and powder coat. I arrived several weeks later and picked up my tool box, they sent me in to pay while the clerk was bringing me the tool box, The bill was $300.00. Wow, I could have purchased a new box for less. So then we loaded and when i got home, the tool box had scratches in the paint on top, when i opened the tool box there was the hardware for the lock, They did not put this back in, After spending an hour some the parts were missing, I called and complained, The clerk said: no we don't put things back together, So I asked about the missing parts, He replied we put the parts back in the box when finished. I told him I can't lock my tool box when i could before. He said bring it back we will repair and fix the scratch. When I arrived, I had to use the bathroom, set down and then what No Toilet Paper, So I went to the next stall, NO TP, and the last one, Nope. as I turned my head, A sign said "if you need TP ask your manager" well it too late for me now, then another sign remind this guys employees, "if your caught breaking the rules you will be fired", So back in the shop, the manager i spoke with in not here and a clerk came out to the truck and I showed him my problem. he said you'll have to talk with my manager. So i went back in the the corral "where customers wait" No chairs, Lots of loud noises, and after waiting 30 minutes I need to go home and um "take a shower". My parts arrive from the tool box manufacturer, about $50.00 I installed and now I have a power coated tool box, and then after about a week of using the box, the hinge broke. After inspecting, these guys power coated the hinge, and when i opened the tool box, I was bending the edges of the hinge and now I need a new hinge. I gave an other call, and the manager was not available again. I gave up and had friend weld a new hinge. So now i have a tool box that cost me almost twice what a new one was. Lousy Service, Lousy Work, Lost my Parts, so if you go there "TAKE YOUR OWN TP, AND Chair" Congrats IDS you fired your own customer. I am sure they could do better. BTW I still have the tool box, and its working fine, I had it rhino lined on the outside to cover the scratches.
