We ordered the big guacamole and a man comes around with a cart and makes it tableside. Everything looked fresh - it was under seasoned. When the cheese dip came out my mom and I both thought it may be the best we've ever had. Ever. And we had it before at this location and it was normal good. But it was fight over the leftovers good this time. The kids meal with shrimp for my son came out fast and he loved it. The enchiladas with tomatillo sauce was yummy. I only got takeout but they never mentioned closing time, gave me the full menu, drinks, galore! I was treated like royalty and enjoyed the food and service immensely! First impression- nicely decorated and seemed like a fun atmosphere. I had to use the women's restroom right away. There was an employee fixing her hair. I took the first stall and discovered too late there was no toilet paper (even though they were the 2 large roll dispensers). One of my biggest all time pet peeves for sure. I checked the other two stalls and found both dispensers were totally empty. There was a large roll sitting on top of the second stall dispenser and an almost empty roll in the third stall. Needless to say I chose the wrong stall. As I was washing my hands the girl came in with a broom and I advised her of the issue. I'm thinking she didn't know how to fill the dispensers. Anyway, the margarita my husband had and the food was very good and the service was up to par. I had to take out the avocado they added because it was black and gross looking and added my own on their. We had ordered Super Nachos with chicken but we received it with ground beef AND chicken. It wasn't good, I tried forcing myself to eat it but couldn't finish half. Also ordered Chicken fajitas with corn tortillas, they were 'meh' mom forced herself to eat it. So we tried a few different spots and if I could give this place more than 5 stars I so would. We've now eaten here a handful of times and it's always impressed. The food is great, portions are large, the service is FANTASTIC. They're fast but not pushy or annoying. They're accurate. Azteca Mexican Restaurant is a fantastic. There are four locations and this is the third location that I have been to and all have been fantastic experiences. This particular location is next to several hotels and when I got here on a Wednesday evening just a bit short of eight o'clock, I was a bit surprised that the parking lot was pretty busy. I guess that I shouldn't have been, each location that I have been to has always been busy. First they brought me chips and salsa. Definitely a good way to start my meal. For my entree, I went with the pulpo ala diabla, a spicy octopus dish. I have only found this particular item at Azteca Mexican Restaurant and it is an amazing dish. The octopus works so well with the spicy sauce. Service was decent and the overall experience was definitely an extremely positive one. Azteca is one of my favorite places to grab Mexican food. I like their taco bowl and I LOVE the Burrito Azteca. The shrimp, chicken and cheese sauce is so so good. It's always a fun place to dine in at, as there is a professional mariachi band onsite that will visit various tables and serenade in song. Chicken Nachos - chicken was overcooked Chicken Carnitas - salad was wilted and rice was on the hard side. Carnitas de Res - same sauce as the other dish. I believe it's called "mild sauce". Mild on flavor is my verdict. The food was an afterthought. But the service was top notch. We sat in a booth near the bar and was taken care of by the bartender. We ordered a burrito listed as $14.95 on the menu. My kids ordered one with chicken and the other with steak. When it came time to pay, I ended up being charged $21.90 and $20.90 for the burritos. Azteca is a great option if you're looking for Mexican food. The portions and options to choose from are plentiful! On Sundays and some other days, they even have a Mariachi band playing music. It's a really nice atmosphere and restaurant. The inside is very spacious with tons of tables. So it can accommodate small or large parties...just call ahead of time. I've eaten here with large parties of 12 or more on many occasions with no issue. The staff is super helpful and helps to keep everything on track from the food orders to the checks at the end of the visit. It is located in the rear of a large shopping center, so I have never had an issue with parking. I would definitely recommend trying this place! read more

Firstly, the food was fantastic. Fresh and tasty. It was some the best tasting Mexican food have had in quite sometime. I simply had two enchiladas (ground beef, cheese) with rice and beans. The rice and beans came mixed together, which was different, but very good! The chips and salsa were excellent as well, however they don't bring you a whole lot of salsa and after the second helping they will charge you for it. Just fyi. I also got a margarita. It too, was delicious, but more importantly: it was strong!! The only thing that I cannot rave about was the service. And it's not necessarily that we got bad service, it was more that we got disinterested service. For example, my friend asked for more soda. It never came. When the waitress came to check on us my friend repeated her request, the waitress was happy to fetch it, but there was no acknowledgement/apology that my friend had asked for it 10 minutes prior. Also, the young lady that brought the chips and salsa when I arrived had no interest in smiling, eye contact, or salutations of any sort. Even though I said hello when she approached and thank you as she put the food down. A language barrier perhaps? Maybe. But there are many non verbal cues one can use to convey feelings of appreciation and welcome. Yeah, that didn't happen. She plopped it down and turned and walked away.
