Wow!! The food was so good! Great service, abundance of chips and salsa! We would recommend!

Needed some lunch and decided to stop by for some Mexican food. The food was good and there were no complaints from anyone in my party. I just think that I have my Mexican spots in CA that I am overly fond of and the ingredients used didn't seem to be completely "authentic". For example the crunchy taco shell is more like what you'd find at Taco Bell instead of a Mexican restaurant. I've also never had a burrito that was buried to far down under everything that you weren't actually sure there was a burrito in there. This is really just my own preferences to the aesthetics of the kid of Mexican food I like, but like I said the food was good everyone was pleased and the service was quick and friendly. read more

Love this place! Love the food and the people who work here. Their enchiladas are the best I've ever had, I love the cheese enchiladas the most and holy smokes their chips and salsa. They set the bar so high with their in-house made, fresh every day, salsa. The fish tacos are my next go to, so if you're curious, try them. I hope you love them. read more

My wife and I have been visiting Aztecs for almost 30 years! The food is great, but the guest service is spotty! We visited on Friday May 2 2025 We each ordered the three item plate. My wife does not like their ground beef, she asked to have a bean tostada instead of the beef taco! The young lady that took our order said that was not a problem! When got our ticket there a $2.00 charge for the substitute! We asked the cashier about the charge, she told us it was because the bean tostada costs more, than the taco!!! If that's the case that is absurd! Being loyal customers maybe you could wave a few cents, instead of adding $2.00 to a $17.99 meal. For a simple bean tostada!!! read more

A person from my work team chose this place. It smells musty as soon as you enter the building. There were no tables to accommodate our party of 8. We had to sit at two separate tables. The heavy booths are all lined in rows so it doesn't feel comfortable inside. But the food...I'm not a picky eater and I eat everything. And I was hungry. None of this was even edible. I ordered combo 11. The beef chile relleno tasted like dog food smells. Seriously. My chicken tamale was fine. It was very soft, almost like a canned tamal. The chicken enchilada was horrible, dry, flavorless. That was just tough boiled chicken with sauce poured in top of a plain tortilla. It wasn't even sauce on the chicken. Only the top of the tortilla has sauce. The rice tasted like rancid old oil. The beans were fine. The salsa served with chips was super water with tons of onion, not much else. So picture watery tomato soup with onion bits. Anyway, my workmates wanted me to also point out that their meals were similarly disgusting. One complained that her chicken taco came in a preformed, boxed taco shell and that Taco Bell would have been better and cheaper. My lousy dinner cost almost $30 and I didn't even have a drink aside from water. The servers were fine. The bathroom was clean. There was only one other table of guests which should have told us to avoid this place. read more

Ordered takeout out 2 carne asada dinners. I drove 25 minutes each way to order from a brand of Mexican restaurant that I thought would hold the standards of all azteca restaurants. One they use sirloin for carne asada. Traditionally it's flank or skirt that give it a nice flavorful shredding moist ability so you can add it to your tortilla. Instead it's overdone rubbery petite sirloin. Secondly, the tortillas were so dry they cracked when you tried to put anything in it. Burning up a $50 bill would have been more exciting! Stopped here for lunch & it was the absolute worst Mexican food we ever had, bar none! We ordered the chicken fajita & they put sweet & sour sauce on it! The rice was gummy, and the beans tasted old! I only ate a few bites!! I told the uncaring waitress that it tasted strange! She grabbed it & She didn't offer another meal & still charged full price!! DO NOT EAT HERE!! Staff was nice but the food was GROSS & extremely under cooked, had a weird slimy dressing on it too. I always order the same thing when I get Azteca/Mexican food. Chicken Fajitas, or a fajita combo. My fajitas came out on a plate. I've never had that happen. They usually always come on a cast iron skillet, sizzling and popping & steamy fresh. This looked like it was microwaved. No grill marks or charbroil marks on anything. The chicken looked microwaved or boiled. The chicken & veggies had a really weird gooey/slimy sauce on them. It was very sweet tasting like Chinese food/dipping sauce. Not savory at all. I thought it looked like Italian salad dressing if I'm being honest ! It was WEIRD & definitely not like any fajita I've ever had from any other azteca in the past. The veggies were not cooked. They looked like they had just been sliced and microwaved a minute or two. They were crunchy and gross. We paid, left, & went to the Mexican restaurant over by Safeway instead. They had great food. Huge portions, & the fajitas there were like what I would of expected from azteca. I have never had a gross experience at an Azteca until I came here, I've been going to Azteca Restaurants in Washington all my life & this was the only location I've had a bad experience at with gross food. Off the bat the vibes were weird because the place was dead & in a weird spot. I honestly don't know how they stayed open. This isn't an easy review to write. I generally like this place but last evening it was terrible!!! The bar server was a complete twit. I asked for a single order of steak gorditas. This meant one on the plate with rice and beans. I received 1 gordita with nothing else. We waited 10 minutes just for menus and chips. The bar wasn't busy. The chips were not their normal and tasted awful. The prices have increased dramatically. Afterwards as we were walking to the front the septic smell lingering down the hallway was enough to make you gag. We will not be returning. read more

The good- fast preparation for food to go and a friendly staff person serving it. Also,reasonably priced. The bad- really bland food and very tiny portions, like it was a kids meal sized burrito. I was definitely disappointed. With so many places to choose in the community for Mexican food, this would be my last choice. Okay, it really kills me to do this but, I have to take Azteca down a star. I love their nachos, but I almost think it is more of a sentimental sort of love. There is something special about their cheese blend and the guacamole they use is perfect but they are pretty greasy (as shown in a photo I took of them). I went there with my boyfriend and he says that they really aren't all that spectacular. Still, they haven't lost my interest over the last 20 or so years and that is saying something. He really liked the chips and salsa though! The salsa is pretty fiery so tasters beware. Every chance I get, I'll be here but it isn't for everyone. Then again, Lewis County isn't known for its fine dining. This place is a gem. read more

If you're looking for friendly and quick service, this is the place for you. If you're looking for authentic Mexican food, it is not. The queso was obviously Velveeta cheese and the flautas were made with flour tortillas and were cut into pieces, not whole or crispy. The chips were probably from a bag: not fresh or hot. If you like bland very Americanized food this is your spot! We ordered Carne Asada and fajita burrito. Definitely not skirt steak (looked like they baked it in an oven and stamped grill marks on thin sliced beef?!?!) Fajita burrito was a tortilla stuffed with sweet and sour soup with a few onion chunks and two pieces of green pepper. If you enjoy Asian inspired fajita soup in a tortilla you are in luck, otherwise this burrito sucked!!! This restaurant has been around for years, it was my first visit. Upon entering I couldn't help but notice the stale smell that comes along with older buildings. The chips and salsa were OK, However I was really disappointed in the lack of menu options. We did arrive at lunch and so that is the menu I am speaking of. The only fish option was fish taco. I've been going to this restaurant since I was a little girl with my parents. I am now a mother and take our family regularly. The Chicken Mole is my favorite dish & the fajitas come in 2nd. Wish they would bring back the holiday buffets though, loved those as a teen. read more

I used to come here when I lived here in the mid 80's. I still go to Azteca once or twice during my yearly or so visits. I absolutely love their salsa and Flautas. No one makes them like they do. Reuban and all the wait staff were extremely pleasant. They refilled our chips and salsa well and our food was brought out quickly. Reuben even tried to block the sun from glaring on one of our family members face. We never had that kind of service anywhere! We are from Vancouver but we will definitely come back :) read more

I had a terrific dining experience with Azteca, and if it weren't for just a couple of bummers, it would've been a perfect experience. They accommodated our party of 7 at a moments notice. They set us up with glasses of water and chips immediately. The service was MORE than accommodating and we were tended to very respectfully and promptly. The food was phenomenal, great serving sizes, and the produce and guacamole was extremely fresh. Two things though: 1) We were not served salsa with our chips, which I thought was a little strange. It wasn't until we were served our dinners and still not brought salsa, that I asked. We were served the most delicious salsa rendition I've ever had the pleasure of tasting. Probably explains why they held out on us to begin with. 2) More annoying than anything else, there was nowhere to change my child's diaper. When asked, I was told to use the sink area. The sink area that was available would have been big enough for a newborn, perhaps, but not my almost-2-year-old-but-bigger-than-a-2-year-old child. Please have a changing station installed. Might I recommend also installing one in the men's room? Customers love the little things. :) Thanks for the optimal experience! Will definitely be coming back. read more

Update! I went back. It took almost two years. But, oy! Yes, I did. And the salsa is still totally amazing and the new bartender is a firecracker. And even though the bar was completely full, she was happy to see us and was able to bring me items which aren't even on the menu - yes, I like to see the ingredients of items on menus and then make new items using those ingredients. I heard a story that leads me to believe I won't see the...other person. So, the Azteca is back in the rotation. Also, they've been incredible when it comes to my often-challenging ordering process. As a non-meat eater, I often have to get creative with menus. Again, just fantastic and good- natured about my odd requests. Previous Post: I wanted to give this place a three-star rating because their salsa is great and one of the bartenders turned me on to a delicious raspberry margarita with whole fresh raspberries. We went there on Friday and the proprietary essentially told us to leave because she did not want to take on any new tables. She wasn't nice about it and we will never go there again. read more

This is the best Americanized Mexican food in town. It is packed most of the time. When I need a chimichanga fix, I come here they have the best I can find. The menu has a lot to choose from even dishes you don't normally see in this type of Mexican resturant. The service is not the best but adequate, of course it depends upon who serves you. read more

I have been going to this restaurant for about 20 years. My brother worked at Azteca, and I casually knew the owners at one point. The daughter of the original owners has taken over. I have eaten here over 100 times. The restaurant has become very poor (including from the owner/manager herself). The service is awful, and the food has lost its flavor. The prices have risen drastically in the last 3-4 years, and the food quality and portions have gone down. I used to make this a regular spot whenever I was in Centralia visiting my family. I will not eat here again. I recommend you go to the Casa Ramos by the freeway for mexican, or to the historic Olympic Club next door. read more

Typical Mexican food. It's good. Love the salsa and mole sauce. The service here is great. Every waiter/waitress we've had have been incredibly pleasant and fast. My only gripe is on a couple occasions we were sat next to families with young whiny children, in an almost empty restaurant. We could have easily asked to be seated somewhere else however so it's a toss up. If you're looking for a yummy/fast dinner I would recommend this as an option. I was very disappointed. We've been to Casa de Ramos and get what is expected for a chain Mexican restaurant. I was excited to eat here and get more authentic food. I ordered the steak carnitas and it was not good. No seasoning or flavor for the very over cooked steak. The sautéed veggies were flavorless. I guess because it had the rice and beans side it's considered Mexican? And the side tortillas obviously came straight out of the bulk package and microwaved? The service was astonishing... the waiter was borderline rude. He didn't bring napkins like requested. He was very rude to the people behind us, while I could not hear the complete interaction, she said she would be talking to the management. He responded with "fine, go ahead!" She had to go get her own water because he never came back. The food was terrible. I had their Azteca Nachos, which tasted like the meat was from a can or something. It also looked terrible & was heated in the microwave. My husband's taco & burrito were the same. It was so bad, we couldn't finish it. The margarita had cheap tequila. When we complained, she asked if we touched our food. My last husband said yes since we had to try it. Makes us wonder if they were going to re-serve it! Yuck! read more
