This is not the airport to arrive early thinking that you will do a spot of last minute shopping before you head home as there are no shops. In fact, only two relatively small rooms are open to passengers. I felt a bit crammed in on my mid-week flight back to London and the plane wasn't even full - I can't imagine what it would have been like if there had been any more passengers. This said, the airport has a great location, just outside Tours, bang in the middle of the Loire Valley. Consequently, like me, you may find the airport ideal for your onward travel needs - just don't expect it to offer anything else. read more
