I have used the Laundry Basket several times since living nearby. What prompt me to do a review was the fact that I will probably be using it more often since the change in my current relationship status(wife has a car I don't, she left and apt washers are unreliable) and the fact that there arent many pictures on the other reviews. Let's start with the hours. They are perfect. If you've ever sat on front of a store waiting on it to open you know what I mean. I can go almost as soon as I get off work and be done before the heat of the day starts b@ating me over the head. First impressions walking in, the place is clean well organized and for an older business well taken care of. There are other laundry services if you need those like drop off washing and ironing. The restroom is clean and well maintained although the toilet in the men's restroom seems to have some issues. The climate control was near perfect unless you chose to sit right next to the windows which of course coupled with the sun produce more heat. I would suggest tinted windows. Theres a vending machine and although I did not use it, it appeared to be in working order. They do have a TV which during my time there seemed to be tuned to a Family Feud marathon. Theres a prize vending machine for the kids which seems kind of old and out of place(should definitely be replaced with a pinball machine or a couple up to date arcade games) but in my lifetime I learned its best to leave the kids at home when going to the laundry mat because I was one of those kids that couldn't sit still at the laundry mat growing up so I know not much has changed because theres very little for kids to do if anything. However, I would suggest letting the kids help wash and fold the clothes to let them see that their clothes arent washed and folded by the the laundry fairy. I did not have the need to interact with the staff so I can't comment on their helpfulness nor job knowledge or attitude but judging by how well kept and maintained The Laundry Basket is I'd say theyre part of the reason why. Bottom line if you don't have a washer and dryer at home and your laundry room in your apt complex is suspect and you're looking for a place to wash your clothes you can't go wrong with The Laundry Basket.

The washing machines seem to be in good order, although they do need some cleaning in the top where you pour your detergent/ fabric softener in, the floors needed to be swept and some trash needed to be thrown out, but overall the equipment seemed to be in decent shape. The bathroom was clean, which is more important to me than a few fabric sheets here and there. It did take four times however to dry one pair of queen sheets on medium, the dryers are only $.25 per cycle, but the cycle is eight minutes long. It also seems to be in a decent neighborhood so you don't feel like you're going to be mugged the minute you step out of your car, so that part was really nice, and for that reason alone, I will probably be back.

My reason for switching was that my clothes started having a very strong perfume odor to them when I would pick them up. When I inquired about the smell, I wasn't given any clear explanation or any option for not having the perfume smell. I am not perfume sensitive, but just don't wear perfume and would prefer not to have my clothes smell like perfume. Sometimes, after hanging the clothes up that had come from the cleaners in my closet my entire closet would smell strongly of perfume for a long time after. I was told by my new dry cleaners that this has something to do with some type of filters that are not getting cleaned frequently enough and so the lingering perfumes from clothings just get passed on to mine. The cleaners on 155 called VIP does not seem to have this issue so far and they also have a drive-through which is one of the great things that I loved about Regency.

Also the orange dress is a suede material I had pizza and dropped olive oil on the dress - I did take the dress the next day and they were able to get it out. For four work dresses it came to about $43 which is around $10 a dress plus tax I will say, I asked them about shoe repair and it was a little expensive for that and they send them out so I took my shoes else wear to be fixed
