I was looking for someone to re-hang wood laundry area doors, that the track that they slide on was bent/had buckled due to a heavy item being leaned against the doors. Jason quoted me over the phone, via pictures at $384.00, which included materials and labor. Kayla told me "my quote would expire after a month if I didn't use it within that time frame". This should have been red flag number one. Since I was looking for quotes, it took longer than expected. When I decided to go with this company, I called Kayla again and repeated what she told me about the quote "expiring", she implied I made the statement up, and I misunderstood her. This should have been red flag number two. Friday, January 15, 2021 Scott called me to setup a time to complete this job because Jason left the company. Because I thought the quote was high and Jason never came to my home, I specifically asked Scott to come to my home to see what was needed before going to purchase items. Scott arrived at my home at 12:10 pm, took measurements and left my home to go to Lowes which is literally 5 minutes away. He came back at 12:55 pm. He installed the new track, did not change the new rollers for the old rollers, then re-hung my same wood doors. He was done and out of the door at 1:15 pm. This is the issue that I had a concern with. I called Kayla looking for a price adjustment because the ONLY material that was bought was a $30.00 track. (Yes I went to Lowes and Home Depot to price them and the most expensive one is $30.00) once again Kayla stated I misunderstood and I should have asked questions. I asked to speak with Thomas the owner. He called me the next day. He told me "because the techs go to the store to pick up needed material, there is an up charge for service." The only thing that was bought was a track. No new doors. Nothing that weighed over 10 pounds. Was this told to me previously? NO! Thomas told me "they make sure they allow enough in the quote because they don't want to ask the customer for money in the end if materials are priced higher than expected". I asked what if it's under budget? The ONLY item bought was a $30.00 track. He told me "there would not be any adjustment, he's sorry I misunderstood and next time ask more questions." Moral of story~ they quote higher than they should and they do not adjust based on materials needed or not needed. I have never heard of such foolishness. My honest advice and opinion is to tell people NOT to use this company. Please use someone else! To Thomas the owner I hope your conscience let you sleep at night.
