The staff have always been very helpful and are happy to heavily reduce slightly damaged stock (a torn box etc) if asked, which is something other stores would argue over and give a very slight discount if anything at all. Also they have a 10% off day once a week which makes them a bit more competitive. If its great service you want then this is definitely the DIY store for you.

It's a real Alladin's cave selling absolutely everything you could ever need, and quite a lot that you could probably live without as well! Staff are friendly and some of the time it appears that they look just as lost as the customers in there! On the whole, it is a really useful little place to have in the town. A Wilkinsons opened recently which I think have taken a lot of business away from Brian's which is a shame as they're a bit of a Brigg institution, but hopefully they'll survive and continue to give the good service they have done for years.

If they have it in stock then great if they dont then forget it! The shop itself is large and has a lot in it, however it is all crammed into small spaces which makes things difficult to find. The staff are not exactly overly helpful neither as majority of the time they dont know what you are talking about, and when they do they dont seem to know if they stock it or not. Queues are to be expected here the staff are very slow and there is usually only one person behind the till at a time. In short if you know what your looking for and you know where abouts in the shop it might be then you should be ok but if you dont you are probably best looking elsewhere for it.

The person letting us in great full of fun and joy, polite, respectful to all. we went on with our shopping, had a nice time looking around the store looking at most of the departments. Then we went to pay, waited in line then Bang, the most rude person served us, she was off hand even though I had placed all our items in order on the counter, and informed her how many items was the same. she spoke to us like we was dirt, I payed her with a bank notes as it was now worth putting to cost of the items on my credit card. Snatching the money off me and then giving me the change on the items I had just payed for. Before I could say anything she had rushed of to talk to her peers on the next till. The range is quite new to Hull but from the day of opening had a full car park everyday. The car park is too small in my opinion and it a nightmare to get out again onto the main road sometimes. It never lets you down. It also has a decent sized garden centre which seems to be reasonably priced compared to others I have been to.
