They have items on special offer all around the door, and if you are looking for something specific, there are staff on hand to help you out. They will of course order item in for you or help you find the awkward replacement screw. They do key cutting while you wait and also seem to be one of the only local shops to do photocopying at the moment.

I picked it up and it was covered in pasta sauce, someone had hidden their rubbish under it and had wrecked it. I went to buy it at another store. I appreciate this is the fault of the customer but if the display had been tidied sooner it would have been cleared up before wrecking the throw.

But I really like what Ikea does and I love their design ethic in terms of value to high end, most stuff is usually pretty cool and as long as you don't do an Edward Norton in Fight Club and you have the whole apartment decked out page to page then it's all good. I've gotta say though that I find the food in the cafe becoming a bit too Anglicised/Americanised with less Swedish influence than it used to have. I had to really search for the gravlax and the daim bar cake seems to be getting poorer in quality. Saying that it's not biggie but I hope they do stick to their food values and always sell their Swedish wares!

The one thing I hated even more than the layout today was the checkout. I only had one item but, because I was paying cash, I had to queue for a 'manned' till behind about 7 people who had obviously chosen today to refurnish their entire house with Ikea goods. I could only gaze longingly at the express checkouts which are all card only

They do a huge range of goods all under the one roof at fantastic and sometimes stupid prices. They do food, drink, toys, linen, toiletries, etc all at under average prices. They are the top notch best makes and not a cheap copy of the top makes which makes it even better. The only bugbear is the fact that the shop gets so busy and you end up having to queue for about 30 minutes but with the bargains you end up getting it is well worth it. The store is always nice and clean and well stocked - the stock changes every couple of days too which keeps the excitement factor going too. The staff are nice and friendly usually even when the store is absolutely heaving.

This particular store is located in Forster Square Retail Park. Car parks always busy due to football stadium being close by so foten have to wait for spaces. This store also seems busier than others so can be a lot of hussle and bussle inside and have queued at the checkout for up to 10 minutes on more than one occasion. Bargains to be had for all ages so well worth a visit if you have the time to browse and queue.

Thy sell items for living space, bedrooms, kitchens and almost everything else you would want for your home. It has everything you need for all your home furnishings. There are one or two IKEAS in each big city around the UK and the World. It is very reasonably priced and they are usually very up to date with everything they sell. They also have a cafe in each store which has very reasonably priced breakfast and scandinavian style foods. They also have the IKEA family card where you can get discount on Breakfasts,Complimentary Tea and Coffee and great benefits for this great company. The Ashton IKEA is very easy to get to with great motorway links and a direct tram from the city centre of Manchester.

Top tip: try the apple cider in the restaurant, it's beautiful! Or pick it up in the shop at the end if you're driving you won't regret it.
