Wow! I was blown away when we walked in. Perfectly blending a contemporary vibe with rustic/industrial theme in a way that looks cozy and welcoming. The beers (and system) are top notch and the food is killer. Not just pub food, but legit tacos and pizza. The staff is helpful, kind and funny. I love the laid back atmosphere in here and most importantly the booze and food! One side of BC Brewery is sectioned off so it is adults only and includes seating and corn hole. The other side has a corner for kids, so it really appeals to a variety of people and ages who come here to socialize. Leashed dogs are allowed on both sides. When you come in, you give your credit card to start a tab and they will give you a BC Brewery card that you will use to get drinks. It's serve yourself-just check the board for the number you want and head over to that tap. The price is by the ounce so you can get as much as you want-from just a taste to a full glass. I was happy to be able to sample a few before deciding what I wanted-there were plenty of options, over 20! I ended up with a glass of the peaches and cream sour (favorite) as well as the dry cider. Admittedly, I'm not a beer fanatic - so I can't speak to the hops, aromas, acidity, and complex malt flavors. But, I can appreciate a generally "good tasting" or easily drinkable beer - of which BC Brewery has plenty. Personally, I'm more of a cider guy. Unfortunately, BC Brewery only ever seems to have 1 cider on tap - and on several occasions, had no cider. I will say, they make a good cider - so it would be nice to see at least 1 in rotation at all times. The self-serve beer wall is wonderful. I wish that's how I could get all my drinks everywhere. Get what you want, how much you want, when you want it. Awesome. Beer aside (I know, sacrilegious considering the establishment).. BC Brewery offers a wonderful environment for mingling with co-workers or friends in the evening. It's unique in that it's not a typical "bar vibe" or restaurant... You aren't cramped or in a dark dingy bar area... But you're also not hurried out of a restaurant like area. The food has progressed from a lone food-truck in the parking lot to now a kitchen inside of the building (and a food truck in the parking lot)... and they put out a nice variety of food - there's a nice rotation of beef options and many nice twists on bar food staples. "Building a Community through Beer" is their slogan - at it's actually a thing. You can use BC Brewery to meet with your own people, or you can attend one of their many community-related events (Paint nights, cornhole leagues, trivia, live music, comedy shows, and many other events listed out on their very active social media pages). I feel like the folks at BC Brewery really took a chance opening up this place. When I first heard their plans several years ago, I was a little skeptical of what it would become - given the demographics of Hunt Valley and what other types of food a drink establishments are in the area (nothing like it). But, I'm happy to see the gamble appears to be paying off. They've essentially created a whole new market of which they don't really have any super local competition (outside of the City limits). Delicious, cheap beer and food and the ever presence of happy dogs! B.C. Brewery is an unusual pub with their large, warehouse-like open space, food-truck kitchen, and open dog policy. But their most unusual feature, and my personal favorite, is the beer fountain service. When you start a tab at B.C. Brewery, you are given a white card that unlocks beer taps stretching far on a wall. The selection on available beers is staggering and changes frequently, so being able to select the exact amount of beer you want is a perfect. You can sample a small amount of an unusual beer, and if it isn't to your liking, then you move on until you find the perfect beer for your mood. You're charged by the amount of beer you pour into your glasses, so you get exactly what you pay for, and the rates for beer are low enough that you won't feel like you're spending much at all. In addition to beer, B.C. Brewery also has non-alcoholic options on tap including cold brew coffee and kombucha. The food is limited, but tasty, as everything is starchy, fried, and made in a permanent food-truck located in the parking lot. I ordered a trio of tacos and loved all of them, especially their Baja taco. Food is a little on the high side, but it balances out with the low prices of their drinks. One warning: people tend to bring their kids as well as their dogs with them. This could be a deal breaker for most just trying to relax after a day of work or on the weekends, but there is a "kid free" section towards the back of the pub. I love this place. In a nation where human connection standpoint is suffering due to Covid 19, we felt this was one of THE only places to feel "normal" during the pandemic and hear people happy, celebrating life and a a band playing music to inspire us of the beautiful things I once used to take for granted. Safe and fun isn't a Covid norm. Plastic shields almost every table. They sanitize all the table before you sit and sanitize the taps as well. They require you to use masks and a new glass every time. Thank you BC Brewery! There are amazing beers and I'm a wine drinker so drank the wine hybrids. The Pinot Grigio and Cabernet hybrids were delicious. The food is great and the customer service was impressively friendly. I wish this place was closer to me. read more

I absolutely love this place. Great beer selection, friendly local staff, great covid measures in place and incredible food. Always met with a friendly smile and great service. Beer is delicious and wide variety of selections to choose from. I love the self serve style because you get to try 15+ different beers without needing to commit to a full pour of anything. Their pizzas are out of this world, too. Not worth knocking down a star since there's the outdoor patio to retreat to, for now -- but my one complaint is the indoor cornhole. It is deafeningly loud and sounds like a bomb is going off every 10 seconds. Hard to enjoy a conversation with a group or even think with this going on, I have tried working from home here and bringing friends and we just always have to go outside to even converse. I appreciate that games are available but cornhole really isn't suitable for an indoor warehouse setting with terrible echo. Otherwise I am a HUGE fan of this place and plan to visit weekly! In a world full of corona, BC Brewery helps to make you feel normal again. They have darts and cornhole. After kicking my husbands butt in bags, we had delicious food and yummy beers. I enjoyed one or two beers, and the Brussel sprout pizza. Soooooo amazing. I only wish they had more beers I like. Not a big IPA fan. First time here and it was great--will definitely be back. It's a cool set up where you can get a tab card at the front, then use it at any of the taps to pour any amount you want. Prices for beer are good, and you see the amount per oz and your total tab as you pour. Mr. Mister and the honey ginger were our two favorites. We did get food--a steak burrito, kale burrito and wings. The wing sauce was amazing! A little overpriced at $8/6 wings, but I could put that sauce on anything (a mix of bbq and hot sauce flavors). The burritos were a lot of food and we ended up taking leftovers home. I would recommend splitting one with your SO or just do tacos. Picture is kale burrito and finished wings (too good to last!). I found these guys through a CSA website from a local farm. Apparently you can pick up your produce here, too. For atmosphere, it was laid back. There's lots of indoor cornhole and darts. After waiting 30 minutes to get our food, the hamburger was one of the worst I have ever had as the patty wasn't even 1/3 the thickness of a McDonald's hamburger. The burger was burnt and only 1 slice of cheddar instead of two as listed. Likewise the burger was not juicy but dry and not tasty. Served with some over cooked mini fries. I should have went to the state fair as I would have gotten a better burger there or McDonald's. This place appears to be for hanging out and just drinking beer. We stopped off on our way to PA from VA. Was disappointed by the limited food options. Ordered chorizo tacos, beyond meat tacos, and pork nachos. Chorizo tacos had a nice flavor but were super greasy and my husband felt ill after eating. My beyond meat tacos weren't terrible but lacked depth of flavor. A little pickled onion would have been nice as a topping but all that was provided was lettuce. Nachos were greasy and lacked veggies. Beer selection was good which I'd expect at a brewery. I tried the pumpkin beer and unfortunately wasn't impressed. Service was good though. Food came quick and the bartender who works the counter was knowledgeable. read more

Even though I work in the area, I had no idea this brewery was tucked behind local offices. My friend and I attended a trivia night at BC, and we were so excited to try a new spot. Drinks are reasonably priced, there are so many delicious beers to choose from-peaches and cream was my favorite. And the best part? It's dog friendly! I loved the concept of paying for as much as you wanted with their own cards, and then paying the amount at the end, but I felt like there wasn't a single beer here that I actually wanted to buy a full pint of. Saturday night was mass hysteria. Parking was a mess. I managed to grab the one handicapped parking space near the front door. It was my suggestion for the five of us to stop in and have a beer or two after having dinner out. We were able to jump from table to table to eventually get a table not too close to the family (children's) area. I was hoping for a Scott's ale, but alas, not this time. Everyone else got pretty much what they wanted to taste...the cheapest price seemed to be 51-cents an ounce. I had one that was four dollars and change for four ounces. On the plus-side, we were able to play two games of corn-hole before calling it a night. So yes there are things to do other than drink and socialize. There is even a kiddie corn-hole area in the family side of the immense facility. Food is available on the premises and it appeared to be popular. Customers dispense their own beer, unless it is one of the more expensive beers by the ounce using a BCB issued card settling up upon leaving. The beer taps occupy two walls. There is also a limit on the beer card even if it has multiple users. It's my understanding that if you return to the counter and demonstrate sobriety, they'll unfreeze the card. I've only been here twice and this review captures my two visits. The previous visit was during the day and was less hectic. Dogs are welcome. read more

This was a great place that we just discovered by accident. And I am glad I did! First of all, they have taken all the necessary precautions during this pandemic. Each table is cleaned between every visit. They have plastic separating each table. And you are to use a glove or put sanitizer on your hands every time you pour yourself a beer. That was the even cooler thing was the beer wall. You pour your own beer from 20+ beer choices and pay by the ounce. You just slide in your card that they give you at the start and it tabulates all the beer you pour. What a selection!! Lagers, stouts, IPA's, ales, etc. Plus fruit flavored beers and even a pumpkin ale for the fall season. We got a farm pizza which is the veggie and that was excellent! Plus it was trivia night, which made it a bonus for me as I am a bit of a trivia nerd. All and all, this was a great place and I can't wait to go back. The name of the place might deter a family with kids, but this is a kid (and dog!) friendly place. Really nice outside dining: the owners might try to expand it because it's so popular. The interior front area is for family with small (to age 14) children. Because of an alcohol license? I don't know, but that's okay: except for a giant blackboard.I didn't think they made blackboards anymore since whiteboards were available. Anyway, there is a large accumuulation of chalk dust that would choke a horse. Kids were covered in it in minutes. It was thoughful to include something for kids to amuse themselves, but this is not it, and sort of ruined our stay. We've gone twice, and I find the food to be uneven. The first time the fries were fantastic. Second time they were limp and barely warm. We ordered two different orders of wings: one mild for the children and one hot for us. Both baskets of wings arrived with no way to tell which was which. We are not beer lovers, but my son-in-law and I found a very enjoyable lager (Sorry, can't remember the name of it) and we stuck with it. The beer glasses are really nice: the kind used in Belgium and Germany. The pizza was outstanding: great crust, sauce and toppings. The cod fish and chips came with perfect battered cod, but disappointing fries. Next time I look forward to ordering one of their much-raved about hamburgers. I would return again and again just for the codfish and the pizza. All in all, a very welcome addition to Hunt Valley dining options. read more

Review for the beer only. My husband and I came here after stopping by an RV show at the Maryland State Fairgrounds. The brewery is conveniently located at a light rail stop which is awesome for cutting down on drinking and driving. The space is huge and accommodating for those with kids as there is a play area with a huge chalkboard and a small TV playing kids stuff, and a fenced off inside area for adults. Dogs are also allowed. I have been to the pour your own brews type of concept before, and I really love it. You can make your own tasters for a small fee before deciding what you really want to drink. The beer names at this Brewery are downright hilarious, major props to them for that. I also really appreciate the variety of Brews, everything from ipas, to Stouts, to sours, two belgians. That said, from what I tried I only really liked the Stouts and the one quad Belgian. I believe they rotate their Taps frequently so this would be a fun place to keep on rotation for regular visits. read more

Super fun concept, It's a self serve place, with about 25 drinks to choose from, 23 of which are beers and or ciders. When you walk in you go to a bartender and you give them a your credit card, they tether it to one of their cards (sorta like a casino). You then use that card when you get your beer. This gives you an opportunity to try as many beers as you'd like and as much as you want. They do charge by the ounce, so you do have to keep that in mind. You can also get a beer from the bartender if you don't want to pick and pour your own. The atmosphere in space is set up and ideal for large groups, work functions, get together a with friends as it's a warehouse with community seating. It seems like B.C Brewery is kid friendly and they have games in the back; Connect four, corn hole, fun bar games... There is a food truck outside that you can order food from in house through the bartenders, the food is quick bar snacks, nothing to fancy. The French fries were good. I would definitely recommend coming by and checking out all of the beers! read more

Wings were a fail for my family, they said it tasted as though the wing itself did not get seasoned prior to the sauce being added. The staff are very kind and patience although very busy. My wife and I came here while visiting family in Baltimore. We went for dinner and drinks. I loved how they have their beers self pour so you can get as much or as little as you want. This allows you to try more beers! The food was also amazing! I had a blue cheese burger which was delicious and a huge portion. I also got the old bay hot sauce wings that were amazing! Came here with a friend, it's an interesting but kind of convoluted and confusing system. You go up, they'll give you a card and you can self serve the kind of beer or cider you want. I got the açaí spiked seltzer, but it tasted.. kind of like just water, I'm not sure maybe I just got the wrong thing? We ordered a BBQ pizza, which by the way, get the smaller size if there are only 2 of you. We got the 16" and ended up only eating two slices out of what is equivalent to an XL Dominos pizza... it was really good pizza, but it was just way too much for us. Worth a try if you're in the area, but note it is not located in the main Hunt Valley shopping area. read more

Just had our second annual fundraiser event at BC. This is your no- stress go to place for an event. They take care of as much or as little as you want. They are flexible and they are super nice. The real kind of nice, not the pretentious venue kind:) the food is always great and the beer always pleases a large crowd. We had bottomless soda which was great since we had many dd's at our event. The parking is easy and the location is perfect for any baltimore area crowd. So many of our attendees reached out to tell me they had a great time. read more

This place is all about the beer. And it's good with many, many draft options and serve yourself. But don't expect much from the food. It took us almost an hour to get a small order of nachos and it was missing many of the ingredients we expected. Although we had originally planned on ordering more ( hamburger, chicken fingers) it took so long to get the skimpy nachos we decided not to. They need to increase the kitchen staff. This place is opened for inside dining. They had private tables with barriers around them and opened seating 6 feet apart on the main floor. There is also outside seating. There was live music which was great. My husband enjoyed the beers and there are many to choose from. Highly recommend.
