It was also very quiet, I'm a light sleeper and didn't have any issue sleeping through the night. Excellent coffee bar at bottom level. Nearly every morning I would have an espresso and a croissant. Bicycles available at lobby and the Pietra square is a few minute ride which was really great for shopping, eating, and people watching. Lots of cool old buildings, authentic Italy, I love it. Very large keypad-entry storage and bike room with stand and tools for maintenance and bike cases. World class riding for road and mountain from the location regardless of skill level. Excellent staff, very helpful and kind. A fantastic family owned business. Just perfect.

The food was good but definitely not worth the drive and the money. The prices went up quite a bit in conjunction with a drastic reduction of the portions. The appetizers instead of being served one by one they now come in a single plate: 5 tiny appetizers. One of the person at the table told the waiter he was allergic to one of this five items and the waiter did not offer something alternative. The pasta dishes were good but again served already as individual very small portions. The prices were extremely high, 14 euros for those 5 appetizers, 9-12 for the pasta dishes and 44 for the desserts. The final straw however for us was that one of us asked for a "caffè corretto" and the waiter offered to bring the liquors on the table. One person added a drop in the coffee and we were charged 6 euros for that. Honestly no restaurants of this type charge for the liquors at the end. We are old customers going regularly compatibly with the fact we live far away and we expected more. The changes to the service, the reduced portions and the the higher prices were quite unwelcome. Time for us to explore other venues!

The restaurant has no menu since everything is made fresh... We were not familiar with 'typical' Piedmont cuisine so the owner brought us an appetizer medley with Cotechino, Red Peppers, and other goodies that I dont remember the name! (all delicious though!). He suggested us a Barbera/Syrah blend which was divine and really cheap (I believe 13 Euros!).. For first course we tried these tiny raviolis which are served on a napkin, tableside with no sauce... We loved them and suggested he should open a kiosk in South Beach and serve them as Popcorn Ravioli... I mean these little things were DELICIOUS!!.. Our second course was a bird called "Faraona" oven-roasted served with a veggie medley from his garden (talk about fresh!)... Everything was excellent and we still had a little room for dessert and we had the BEST tiramisu made with Moscato and served with frozen Moscato grapes... OMG I can still savour it and probably crave tonight... Totally worth it !! We stayed the night at the B&B and was incredibly serene and quiet.. Just what we needed in our short stay!

For us who always want to avoid taking the car for all types of errands, it is ideal. But the camping puts out 2 rounds of shuttle bus service for the less energetics, one at midday and another towards 6 pm. This camping does not have a mini-market so one would need to get all the groceries from town. Neither does it have a restaurant. The snack bar serves paninis, salads and mini-pizzas (from frozen ones probably since we don't see any pizzaiolos!) The bar is well stocked with a variety of beverages, alcoholic or otherwise, for you to wash down your snacks. The accommodation: It comprises an L shape space with a sofa, a stylish glass-top extendable dining table and a kitchen corner. A patio door leads to a spacious veranda with yet another table & deck chairs. A sliding door separates the sleeping quarter & bathroom. The GOOD - (1) Beds are firm & comfortable. Each bedroom has its own door-window. (2) Bathroom is spacious and functional. (3) Plenty of storage space. (4) All spanking new (summer, 2018). (5) Staff members are super friendly. (6) The place is tidy and sparkling clean. (7) Very reliable wifi. (7) There's kids entertainment every night conducted by a couple of young staff members; great for family with children who can follow the games in Italian. The NOT SO CLEVER - (1) European power sockets are tied to heating allocation. If you don't subscribe to heating, then you stay with the Italian sockets or use a converter. (2) Power supply is linked to the key system like they do in hotels - pull the house key out, your mobile phone charging stops! (3) You have 1 bin in the bungalow, but the camping gives differentiated rubbish collection- you have to be creative in how you organize your rubbish in the bungalow. (4) The bungalows are packed in terraces in a compact and asphalted surrounding; results: noise propagates easily and heat builds up to an uncomfortable level when the sun shines. (5) We could do with just a simple fan to aid the ventilation in a sizzling hot day like August 2018, without going all the way to close ourselves in with the air-conditioning. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, and will come back without hesitation!
