    Packaging of the salad
    Rachel S.

Came here for the first time during lunch, was thankfully not too busy around 1pm during the week. This place serves salads and sandwiches. You can either make your own or order off the menu. To make your own salad they have a sheet and you just check off what you want want. They star the ingredients that cost extra. I would say overall I enjoyed my salad and the place was nice and clean. My main complaint was there was only 1 size for salads which was pretty large so I would've like a half size since saving salad doesn't really stay good for long. Also the price was a bit steep. But again it was a large salad. Unfortunately most of the ingredients I could actually eat were ones that all cost me extra. I would likely come back here. I liked that they offered low fat dressings as well!

My mom and I stopped in for a nice girl's day lunch at BMuse! The ham and Brie sandwich was absolutely delicious. As soon as I saw it on the menu, I knew I had to get it! It came with a delicious homemade honey mustard, and the roll was very fresh. I found BMuse to be very clean, and despite how busy they were during the lunch rush, we received our order quickly. My mom really liked her Asian chicken salad, and ended up asking for some almonds to add a crunch. The cookies were a great little treat too! I do wish they were open on weekends, because it's rare that I'm able to make it to Wallingford during the week. I wish I lived or worked closer to get here more often!

Look at my photo. I could write a million words here but really the picture says everything. I've been a vegetarian for over 20 years and while there are increasingly more options lately, this place is a very solid staple when you're looking for lunch on a street full of burgers. It is also a catering company so their stuff is always fresh and wonderful. The quinoa salad is also super good.

B Muse is THE lunch spot on north colony road. I work up the street and love coming here for a wrap and chips, healthy salad, or a sandwich and pasta salad. I always get food to go out of convenience. They are always friendly and fast! However their dining nook (tucked away from the counter and in-and-out lunch patrons), is pretty and quiet. It's a shame they are closed on the weekends. Would also love a few more less sugary drink options. Overall it's pretty simple food but always done right and served with a smile.

I'll start out saying I'm not a huge salad guy. But this place may convert me. Everything tastes great, definitely fresh ingredients and an overwhelming variety of options. The salad was large and filling with a good amount of proteins included. This will become a regular lunch spot.

This place was great! The staff was friendly, willing to help understand the menu. I went with a wrap but you can also order a sandwich or salad to your liking. They have many choices to choose from. The chicken is chunky and tasted very good. They also provide catering I just wished they had more seating available but the bar stool area does offer plenty of seating. I would highly recommend getting a healthy lunch from this place.

B Muse Cafe is one of the few healthy and fresh food options here in Wallingford on route 5. If you are looking for a filling yet healthy meal option that won't weigh you down, this is the place to go. They even offer a few chilled soups, chili, snacks, desserts, and salads in a chilled case that are great for a last minute meal at home (more info on these options below). B Muse is located in a newly built plaza constructed only a few years ago right next to the Valvoline gas station and across the street from Quality Subaru. The location/Atmosphere: Right off of route 5 in Wallingford, this is one of those grab and go locations. Seating is minimal. There is bar stool seating available against the windows as well as by a smaller wall off to the side. When customers place their orders they often stand close by to, or up against the seating area (no one likes to stand in the middle of a room and that is the only other place for customers to stand and wait for their orders). Aside from the confusion of where to wait or where you should eat your food, the design of the area is well done. Simple and clean. You are able to view all ingredients in an open design, and all orders are prepared right in front of you (think subway, but with fresh REAL ingredients). The Food: All of their food is not only fresh and real but also reasonably priced for the quality and portions of food you receive. They don't use processed proteins, instead the quality is similar to you grilling your protein of choice at home, on your own grill. I have had both their chicken and their salmon and it was as if they grilled everything fresh for your order (just know that the ingredients are chilled). Portions: This may just be my own experience, however regardless of what you order, the portions are always very filling. In fact I always have something left on my plate. This has a lot to do with the quality of ingredients they use! Menu Options: From sandwiches, wraps, to salads and soups, this is a perfect place to get your lunch. Along with their made to order options (yes you can customize your wraps, salads, and sandwiches) they also have a cooler filled with drink options such as sodas and teas, as well as pre-made smoothies. In the same cooler they sell pre-made pasta salads like macaroni or quinoa, as well as chilled containers of soup, desserts and snack cups filled with either a fruit salad or veggies and hummus. * Parking is limited to the available parking within the plaza. There is plenty of parking, so I have never ran into an issue with this * The hours can be frustrating if you plan on purchasing anything from here for any other meal besides lunch. So make sure you look at their hours before you plan a visit * I do not believe this place is wheelchair-friendly. Simply do to the lack of space and access through their main doors

I was looking for a healthy option for lunch and stumbled across this gem. I've been moving to plant based eating, which can be challenging when traveling. Too bad Bmuse is not a franchise! The restaurant has a salad buffet type set up, but the food access is on the opposite side for the employees to fill your order after you fill out a checklist of what you want your "bowl" to be filled with. You just get to gaze at the fresh veggie selections while your order is put together They have a large variety of veggies and dressings, and offer some hot sandwiches and wraps and soups. I got a salad to go, with Asian ginger dressing and was blown away by how fresh and flavorful everything was. The service was quick and friendly and the cost was very reasonable. I highly recommend a stop at Bmuse.

Best place to stop for lunch in Wallingford. I love their tossed salad options - they have pre-selected salads as well as a build your own option which I always go for. You grab the checklist and go to town adding as many veggies and toppings as you want. The best pet about this place is that there is no extra charge for what other places call 'premium toppings' (avocado, grape leaves, etc). Only extra charge here is if you add protein and they give you tons of it so it's worth the money. Always friendly faces in here and a wealth of options for other things as well (sandwiches, soups, drinks, organic stuff). I only wish they were open a bit later so I could come for dinner too!

A few of my foodie friends put me on game regarding this place that's about a 25-minute drive for me, but always so worth it. Here's why I love it so much! Atmosphere/Appearance: Set in the center of Wallingford a little off of the main drag of Center Street is this humble gem. You can park on the street for free if there's space or in the plaza parking lot right up the block from them. Once in the door you're welcomed by several smiling faces and that makes ALL THE DIFFERENCE! This place is predominately made for takeout. There are no physical tables, but you certainly can pop a squat on the benches near the back of the restaurant if you'd like. Service: There isn't necessarily table service since all you do is order at the counter and wait until your name is called, but the people there are so sweet, soft and will just make your day! They're also full of personality and their social media posts are super funny. Lol. Food: I've had several things from their menu here including the Backyard BBQ Sandwich, Savannah Wrap, Vegan BBQ Mac & Jack Bowl, The Hungry Slope, BCB, Roast Beef and more! These are some of the highest quality, made-with-love sandwiches, tastiest, creative sandwiches around! I just love how every several months they change the menu up introducing new flavors for the season so you never know what you're gonna get! Of course the favorites stay on the menu! Value: These sandwiches aren't cheap, but you have to pay for quality. Expect to spend between $11.00 and $15.00 here for a good meal. Then add on whatever else for drinks or sides, but it's worth it. In conclusion, I love this place, I just wish they were closer AND that they were opened on weekends, but they keep the hours tight to allow their employees to have lives. I give them even more respect for that! Check this place out soon!

Craving a beef on weck, all suggested Vinny's Deli in Wallingford Ct…read more A Beef on Weck is a sandwich consisting of thinly sliced, rare roast beef, some horseradish sauce, a little au jus, served on a warmed and toasted bun, topped with caraway seeds amongst other spices. This is a sandwich that originated in Buffalo, New York, that I had the honor of eating on a regular basis when I worked in Buffalo. When this sandwich is prepared correctly, not too many types of sandwiches can top this. So expectations were high going to Vinny's Deli. And there it was on the menu, the all nighter # 54, in its glory, the beef on weck. The order was placed for two of them, as my friend Rick joined me for lunch. He never had one and was really looking forward to what he exactly was getting into. I also ordered storemade potato salad, and one of those famous oatmeal raisin cookies. I also had a lime ricky soda, and my friend had a root beer. These sodas were specially made for Vinny's and were presented so well. The total for this order of two sandwiches potato salad cookie and two sodas came to $38. I left a 15% tip. The food arrived, and let me tell you this beef on weck was simply amazing. Warm sliced roast beef that just melted in my mouth and pulled apart so easy, accompanied by just the right amount of horseradish sauce, on a slightly toasted and warmed bun. This was perfection. This was love. The potato salad which was store made also was delicious, and I liked it because it didn't have onions in it. This was on point. The two made for a store sodas were absolutely delicious. I loved that lime ricky, as it was a great choice. Now for the co-star... you must get the oatmeal raisin cookie for dessert. This was probably the best cookie of this nature I've ever had; so soft, so delicious, so made with love. Located on Center Street in Wallingford, Vinny's is easy to find, and parking is a breeze Seating is extremely limited. I think there were only four or five tables in there. Most were in there just to get the food and run, also known as takeout. This is a can't miss for sandwiches. I saw they had extensive other choices, but come for the star, the roast beef. I really enjoyed my visit here, it was local, the vibe was really cool and friendly, and the place was really clean. I noticed an ice cream store attached, which looked very inviting. I think I would stop there after having lunch here next time. Thanks to Vinny's, I really enjoyed my visit and I look forward to returning again in the near future. I normally try to give places the benefit of the doubt, but our experience at The Bees Knees Bistro…read morein Wallingford was honestly very disappointing and upsetting. My family and I arrived while it was raining outside with our young daughters in strollers, expecting to sit down for a meal and get out of the weather. Instead, we were told we could not come in with the strollers and essentially felt unwelcome the moment we walked through the door. As parents of babies who are still too young to sit safely in high chairs on their own, the strollers are not optional for us , they are necessary. We were not being disruptive, rude, or inconsiderate. We were simply trying to have a meal as a family. Rather than attempting to accommodate us or show any understanding, we were left feeling like having children made us an inconvenience. What made the situation even worse was the fact that it was pouring outside. Any level of kindness or flexibility would have gone a long way. Instead, we felt embarrassed, frustrated, and honestly shocked by the lack of compassion and customer service. Families with young children already face enough challenges going out in public, and experiences like this make it even harder. We ended up leaving and taking our business somewhere else that was far more welcoming and understanding toward families. It is disappointing because we were genuinely looking forward to trying this restaurant, but first impressions matter. A restaurant does not need to be "kid-centered" to still treat parents and babies with basic respect and decency. I completely understand that restaurants may have space limitations or policies, but there is a respectful and compassionate way to handle situations like this. Instead, the experience came across as cold and dismissive. There are many restaurants in the area that are happy to accommodate families, and moving forward those are the businesses I will continue to support. Unfortunately, after this experience, I will not be returning and would not recommend this restaurant to families with infants or children who still require strollers or extra accommodations. I wont be going back and giving them .you business, nor will I be recommending this place to anyone. Totally rude and discrimination towards those with babies. I did not feel cherished like their website says every guest is. Its sad because this will and im sure does effect their business. I will never give them my business after yesterday. No attempts at accommodating us or evening offering to let us sit outside, lazy staff, but yet there were 3 teenage girls taking names for the wait list. What a joke.
