I am writing this review, because I can't praise this dentist enough. It is located on a little…read moreprecinct and houses both a normal dentist department and an orthordontics section. I was referred by my usual dentist, as I needed a complicated wisdom tooth extraction and he thought this dentist was an expert in this field. I was quite nervous, however the dentist put me at my ease went through the procedure, giving me all options before he did anything. As I was staying awake throughout the procedure, he made it clear that he would stop at any time and put me out. He then took out my wisdom tooth, stopping every few minutes so that I could rest my jaw. The dentist and his assistant gave me some after care advice and told me to ring if I had any problems at all. It went fine and if I knew it was going to be that easy, I wouldn't have been worried at all. First class care - highly recommended.

I am not the bravest when it comes to dentists but there is no need to worry here! Mr Burke's skill with "the needle" is second to none. Highly recommended.

A very busy dental surgery in Middleton, Fogg & Whittingham Surgery was one of the few dentists…read morethat accepted me as an NHS patient, in an industry that is heavily moving towards private care now, so this was a huge plus for me. While the facilities might not be as modern as my previous dentist, Ocean Dental, I find it much easier to get an appointment here and the staff are also much more friendly and accommodating, and you feel a greater degree of care, rather than feeling like a burden. The staff at Fogg & Whittingham Surgery really do seem to care and provide excellent quality dental treatment. I have generally been seen rather close to the appointment time, although the waiting room can get rather busy, they do have a lot of dentists working to meet the demand. If you're visiting via car, there is only street parking available on residential streets nearby, so do arrive on time for parking.

I've been coming here for five years now and have always experienced a great service. Having given…read moreup trying to find a dentist on the NHS I have to say that it was a good choice. Despite the cost of course, there are no other downsides and you can say good bye to being treated like cattle and 5 minute check ups where you walk out feeling like they've seen you just to fill a quota. Although it's out in the sticks a bit, it's just a short tram ride away and then a 5 minute walk, so don't let that put you off if you're wondering where exactly is Bury again?! 406 actually does lots of cosmetic treatments too, from porcelain veneers to laser whitening at competitive prices, so if you have the money this would be a great place to trust as I did my research and they've been awarded the British Dental Association's coveted "Good Practice" status.. You don't even have to be a patient to come for a one off service either. I'm not suggesting we all go Simon Cowell and have knashers that the rest of society need a pair of sunglasses to face, but teeth often go neglected and 406 can make the beautiful again.

The worst customer service I have ever encountered. On the day of my appointment I got called into…read morework. Made the phone call at 9am ( opening time for the dentist). Explained my situation and asked to rearrange my appointment. I was informed that they no longer could help me as an nhs patient as I have not given them 24 hours notice. This being impossible, I found it to be quite ridiculous. I was then told I had been informed of this policy and it wasn't their fault. I had no knowledge of this policy. Then again I was told they couldn't accept me as an nhs patient. So I wonder if I was paying full price it would b a different story?!?!? Absolutely appalling.
