I liked Charles at the time and went with him anyway. They fit me in at the end of the season which I appreciated and got the job done. There were a couple of things along the way that were red flags to me so I decided to not hire them to do the pump. Charles would talk to me as if I was stupid when asking basic questions. When Charles learned I was going with someone else for the pump he got very defensive and tried to beat their bid so I would go with him. I still went with another company. The company who set the pump measured the well because my pricing was partially based on how much wire they needed. During this process we realized that the well depth seemed different than I was invoiced for. When I confronted Charles he went off like a cannon on me. It was apparent to me that they had cooked their final estimate. It made more sense to me why he fighted to do the pump. I think he didn't want me to find out. When you are hiring someone to drill and they base their price per the foot, you would want to trust that person wouldn't screw you over. I should have listened to the locals at the beginning who tried to warn me. I don't feel the final invoice from MVM was truthful and I recommend hiring someone else to do your well.

I paid for a 400 square foot patio with pavers in the front yard and he attempted to short cut the task by filling in 80 square feet of the patio with gravel. I confronted him about it and he did the work as I requested. Secondly, I paid for a fence that was to be made of pressure treated wood. Again he attempted to shortcut the task by finishing off the fence with wood that was not pressure treated. Once again I talked to him about this and he acted "put off" about it. Thirdly, I wanted an extra 80 square feet of pavers added to my patio in my backyard. Angel charged me $2300 for this addition, which works out to be $29 per square foot. Angel said initially it would take 2 pallets to complete the task. Later he agreed that one pallet was sufficient when I pointed out that it was only 80 square feet. He changed his mind to one pallet. I find that Angel tends to inflate the cost of materials to do a job in order to overcharge the customer. This was a genuine "rip off". I also gave specific directions that I wanted a gate to open inward. The next morning I checked the gate and he made the gate open outward. I talked to him about his mistake and again he acted "put off" as if it was my fault. He showed extreme moodiness about this and reacted rudely. This was compounded by him not following direction by reversing the hardware on another gate. His lack of following direction could probably be a result of English being a second language. The quality of his work can be good when he puts his mind to it or quite poor which usually results when he works in a hurry. For example the edge of the patio made with pavers was irregular and uneven in certain places. This was a result of up to a 1 inch gap between the pavers and the plastic edging. (See pictures). Their are other mishaps with the pavers that are brought out by the pictures. Angel installed the irrigation timer on the outside of the house which voids the warranty. The timer is suppose to be installed inside the house. Overall working with Angel was a challenge. He can do a good job if he wants to but I feel he rushes through a job and then the quality of his work is poor. I could not trust him to do the work I requested so I felt a need to be there when the work was being performed. For any future work I will choose another landscaper.

We had concerns initially when reading some of the reviews and looked around for other contractors , but we found they are in short supply...We moved forward to work with Steelhead and 4 months later I have to say that Weston and his crew have 100% earned our trust and respect. We got off to a bit of a slow start since there was a shortage of available contractors and he was spread pretty thin, but we're halfway through and the momentum has really increased. Weston has proven to be smart, responsive, and has great money / time saving (and aesthetically awesome) ideas while still delivering high quality work. In engineering costs alone he saved us over 10K from what we were able to find on our own. We bought the property with an unfinished unit and it is now ready to go and is beautiful. Weston was able to think ahead in planning for a 5th unit and has implemented some clever tweaks to prepare for that and the permitting that will be involved. Although I hate to share him when we're only halfway through our project I have to give credit where it is due. I (and my team) now fully trust that our project is in good hands and we're excited to have our finished project be a part of his portfolio in Spring 2022. I'll add photos and more updates as we move forward.

We just completed our solar design and install project with Artisan Electric…read more(www.artisanelectricinc.com) It was an outstanding professional experience overall -- smoothly managed, and super pleasant people to work with from the beginning to end. And their follow-up to my subsequent questions has also been excellent. From the first inquiry over the Artisan website (www.artisanelectricinc.com) to the first conversations with the rep about the various system options; and on through the design and layout process with him; on into the site preparation walk-through with the general foreman; and all throughout the install experience with the crew. The crew was always prompt, professional, and managed a clean, well-organized work project space in/around our house, and they were all super pleasant to work with. Strong team! More to the point when we hit an install hiccup -- upon seeing the panels layout on the front street side of our low flat roof and were unhappy with the way it looked (not Artisan's fault but a failure of imagination on our part) -- we deeply appreciated the quick response to my email about it from our Artisan rep and the crew's professional "let's put our heads together and find a solution" mentality. In my experience that's where the rubber really hits the road with any contractor and everyone involved managed an efficient, calm, and solutions-oriented approach in partnership with us that ended up with an even-better solution. We also appreciate a union crew and seeing diverse representation on it. That matters to us -- in addition to high quality, fairly priced work. ;)
