First time at B Town Diner. Nice diner in a strip mall. We were greeted as we walked in and seated immediately. We ordered breakfast food, but they also serve lunch food. The waitress was pleasant. The only down side was the waitress was somewhat slow and never checked back in during the meal, so no refill on drinks. The meal was good. Not the best but better than a lot of other places and was reasonably priced. If in the area I would definitely go again. read more

First time here on a Tuesday morning and so not too crowded. Love the old time diner decor and the service was fast and friendly! My wife had a special of lemon blueberry pancakes which she loved. Stopped here yesterday with my family and I really liked the vibe of this place! It's 1950s and decorated exquisitely. Parking is easy in the expansive lot and the location is great being close to downtown Bellingham. It was around 11 on a Friday but we didn't have any trouble getting a table for 5. This may be harder on the weekends. We were waiting on one more person and they were fine accommodating that for us. I ordered a hash omelet with wheat toast and home fries. The rest of the table had a variety of breakfast and lunch options. Once ordered the food came out quickly. The tea is also bottomless! My omelet was good but a little dry. I wish that they had cooled down the onions a little more. The corned beef was excellent though. Toast could have been a little toastier. The homefries were seasoned well but a bit on the burnt side. I like my potatoes crispy like that so it didn't bother me, but my grandma would have sent them back. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their food as well. A breakfast for 5 came out to be $100 before. Which I felt was reasonable but a little pricier compared to other breakfast locations. Would I come back? Sure! I would just want to try some other options as their menu was expansive. read more

Life is short. F...it up! Family, Flavor, Friends came here Saturday morning to meet up with some friends a new diner that just opened up. It's a little hidden in a plaza but well worth the hunt when we got there there was still a lot of spaces in the parking lot opened, but by the time we left, it was very busy . Walking in it's very unique 50 style diner with all the bells and whistles and decals. That tables booths and a little bar area. Got homemade corn, beef, hash, two eggs and toast. Everything was done just right and it's good seasoned and they even have hashbrowns in case you don't like the house potatoes. We tried B-town in Bellingham for the first (and definitely NOT the last) time this morning. It's a big nostalgic busy diner (emphasis on BIG) with bright walls and memorabilia wherever you look (up, down and side to side)... guitars, amusing signs (my favorite said "if you mind your BISCUITS then life will be GRAVY"... how cute is THAT?!), pictures of Elvis, Marilyn Monroe and many more...! And 50s tunes piped in to bop along with! There was a bit of a wait (about 20 minutes) because of how busy they were (Sunday. Completely understandable)... but once we were seated (in a sweet comfy bright red leather booth for 2) everything was EXTREMELY quick and efficient! Side note: there was a large staff of employees- ALL dressed as witches with a few black cats which I loved (I'm SUCH a Halloween girl)! I had coffee, ice water (always have to have the hot/cold drink thing going on), a western omelet (that's a 3-egg omelet with ham, peppers, onions and cheese) with raisin toast and homefries. It was probably the BEST omelet I've ever had! The homefries were big chunks of potatoes with a bit of onion- perfectly cooked. Hubby had coffee and an apple cider mimosa and their "B-town house special" (2 eggs, ham, full order of French toast, and hash browns) with a bagel and cream cheese on the side. While everything came to a bit of a pricey bill (close to $70), we have NO complaints. It was a LOT of PERFECT food and perfect service! Our server was quick and attentive and everything ran at an A+ pace despite how busy they were! VERY happy with the experience and will definitely go back! read more

What a fun diner for brunch! My family of 4 decided to try out this new diner nearby and WOW, what a gem! We went on a Sunday around 10 am and had a 30 minute wait. We were enjoying the decorations while waiting. It has such a fun 70s diner feel to it. My kids loved playing i-spy with all the colorful decor. We each ordered different things on the menu and we were ALL in awe with our food. Not only was the food tasty, but the flavors were refreshingly different than what we've ever had. Their potatoes were fabulous! I loved the hash brown patties. I had a hot coffee and it's definitely better than most breakfast nooks we've been to. We are excited to come back again. read more

Met hubby & friends here for lunch today. Wasn't expecting to be impressed but we all were. (And we've all worked in food/are foodies.). :) We got Reubens & pastrami sandwiches w/ fries. We asked a lot of questions to help us decide on orders and our server was patient, gracious, kind & friendly! The Reuben was on point! Marble rye grilled perfectly, melty awesome Swiss, perfect tartness sauerkraut, and home cooked, perfect thickness corned beef. Awesome fries. Pastrami was lean and cut just right. All around happy campers here. So many restaurants are struggling due to costs and over the past few years have tanked on quality & consistency. Let me start by saying Im from the Midwest and was excited to have a taste of home. I walked in and waited a while to be seated with minimal business. Once I was finally addressed I was asked what I needed, not greeted. I told the lady one for here, she grabbed a menu and walked away, I followed here to a table where she tossed the menu and walked away without a word. First Visit - Great Lunch Experience! Stopped in for lunch at this new breakfast/lunch diner, Btown Diner, in Bellingham and was pleasantly surprised! The food was served hot and fresh -- the fries were perfectly crispy, and the grilled chicken sandwich was juicy and cooked to perfection. Brand new breakfast / lunch diner in town called B-Town Diner, right on Mechanic Street (RT 140). Found out by chance the other day that they are now open and they make Belgium Waffles, so we had to try them out. Both the Mrs and I got the waffles so not much to review today. I have a pretty good appetite, and I could not finish the waffle; it had a nice vanilla flavor and crunch to it - a very good waffle served with a dollop of butter and powdered sugar. Coffee was a good full-bodied brew, again a win. I thought the service was good. They were kinda busy when we first arrived around 7:30 AM and this visit being on a Sunday, we got seated right away. Everything is 50's themed, including booths with Chevy back seat vibes! All the decor to resemble a 1950's All American diner including chrome will absolutely catch you up in the moment! Very friendly and inviting atmosphere. They have three deep rows of booths and a counter that seats even more. I love that there are syrup and napkin dispensers already on each table, you just don't see the latter anymore. As for cleanliness, it currently hits a ten on the scale from its gloss black parti speckled floors to the booth and tables - spotless. After the check came, I asked for a refill on the coffee and was given the option to have it in a "to go" cup which I thought was really nice. Overall, yes, this is a place we will visit again and probably soon to try some of the wild breakfast offerings that even include mimosas and other alcoholic beverages for those morning drinkers. Angry omelets and California Taters are my next choices. read more
