In fact, the only negative was the sauna area where it seems that middle aged German men would rather dangle than dream of not offending an American woman. If you stay here, take one of the Wanderwege just below the hotel. During autumn, you can pick apples and plums right off the trees. Don't wait until the second day to try the restaurant. The food is good, inexpensive, and nicely presented.

The bed, sheets, duvet, and pillow are standard German fare (not good) but that's ok as I'm in Germany and expect it - just be warned. Anyway to the comedy bit ..... The bathroom is horrible and the worst bit is the toilet with a stool inspecting shelf with a rather wheezy cistern. Be warned!! It actually made me smile and took me back decades but we're firmly in the 21st century so it needs sorting.

The breakfast (included in our rate) was the best breakfast we had during our 3 week tour of 7 cities in Germany. Lastly, the woman who welcomed us was super gracious and helpful in checking us in, taking care of us at breakfast, and sending us on our way. The service, room, and breakfast were all 5 stars.
