In the days of modern technology we have whats called call register so you can see who has called you - for a firm selling modern electrical appliances you would have been correct to assume that they know this. I am left totally amazed at the lack of customer service received today. NEVER will I buy from them again and I would recommend you think twice before placing any orders with them. The do carry some of the bigger brand names though for example Sony, JVC The prices are reasonable and I haven't tried it but have been told they will price match with the bigger stores. They also do a hire service on all there goods (TVs, washing machines and fridges) a friend of mine swears by them she has never owned her own washing machine she pays £10-00 a month and if anything goes wrong with it she just call and they are out the next day to repair it for her.

The staff seemed arrogant and looked like they didn't want to be bothered. They try there very best to give you as little as possible for your product; even if it is practically new. Lastly for pre owned items a lot of the prices are too high to the point where you can spend not .ugh more for the product new. Overall a poor experience with Cex, this will be my first and last time using them.

The shelves seem busier and some of the Christmas gift ideas are really good. Who wouldn't enjoy a radio-controlled rat, or mini walkie-talkies with a 5km range? Small Christmas trees made of plastic circuit board catch my eye: you have to build them up yourself and feature LEDs for lights. Being a bit of an electronics geek I always find Maplin to be a good browse, though they are sometimes overpriced. But all the sale shelves in the Putney branch quickly put my mind at ease. A nice and inexpensive gift for a music lover is a box of blank CD-Rs that look like little records. There's also always something for mom, dad, little brother or sister. Maplin Putney always has knowledgeable staff on hand to field more technical questions too.

Plenty of knowledge about their goods, which is pleasing and good customer service as well, all this adds up to five stars for me. There are branches in other towns especially as they have taken over some of the 'Bennetts' stores.
