It's far nicer than the smoke filled, underground dungeons that most of the other bars are, without being pretentious or over priced. Just a good little neighborhood bar to have a drink.

The owner is welcoming and gracious but doesn't speak English, so go with a German speaker. I had lamb meatballs stuffed with goat cheese, excellent. Lots of flavor, fresh ingredients and perfect use of spices in every dish. Another item worth mentioning was the very fresh tabuhla topped with pomegranate, really liked that dish. Dinners come with small amounts of different dishes so you can try many things and the owner enjoys explaining the food. Very popular with the locals, make a reservation. Mesopotamien is the first restaurant in Germany I've been to that does not serve pork!
