You can find Baba's Gyro and Kabob at 2310 Ronald Reagan Blvd Ste A Cumming, GA 30041. This is a Chevron gas station with the restaurant attached on the left side of the building. There's somewhat limited parking outside but seems like some park on the side of the street - also those visiting the Chevron convenience store or the mattress place on the other side, usually stay parked for a very short time so it may be worthwhile to wait on a space (please don't block the station pumps though). I've eaten here a couple of times, I don't seem to make it into the area that frequently. Most recently I was working in the area and Baba's was a short drive away, around 1:00 PM - it was fairly full. Our server came to the table after indicating where we could sit (luckily there was a table open). I ordered the Gyro (lamb+beef) plate - basically a decomposed gyro wrap with pita wedges, roasted potatoes and a side Greek salad. It took about 10 minutes to get our food - our server came by a couple of times and refilled out glasses while we waited. I thought the gyro very tasty, not dry at all and lots of feta on the salad. In all, the service was good and the food better than average. I think this is a great location that's easy to get to and while it might not be a destination or date spot, it does the job of getting you filled up well.

Always delicious! Take out or dine in. Easy to get to, a little bit of everything Mediterranean!

Apr 17 - Great, fresh Mediterranean food. I've had the gyros, salads, and kabobs. All are excellent. The only negative I've seen is that my friend's spinach dip was over cooked - he ordered it as his meal rather than an appetizer so they may have tried too hard to keep it warm. Feb 24 - After eating here many times, it's definitely a 5 Star Restaurant. My Bride loved it. Jan 25 - Another excellent meal at Baba's. Lamar had only been working here as a waiter for five weeks but did an outstanding job. The food was excellent. I branched out and got the feta dip and moussaka.

We arrived at 6 and were met at the door and seated right away. We enjoyed Dolmato's while we browsed the menu. Never had them warm before and that is a game changer !! My wife (the birthday girl) picked the Mousaka plate and I selected the Falafel plate. Our server was awesome and easily handled three sets of customers back and forth. The layout and atmosphere was very welcoming and we enjoyed the large portions of our plates. We should have gotten half our plates to go so we could have enjoyed some desert. Maybe next time. All in we spent $53 including tip.

Small restaurant but very nice inside. It was clean and the service was good. The food however was some of the best Mediterranean I've had around this area. This will likely be my #1 spot for Mediterranean food. My wife got the Lamb Gyro and I had a little bite of that and it was wonderful too.

Has outdoor seating. Faces gas station

Stopped here after shopping at north Georgia outlets and e route to Atl return. Was in the mood for gyros and this place showed up with many reviews. When you pull up it's in a gas station lot with ample parking. The place was busy on Saturday night with multiple groups. They have limited servers and we choose to sit at the bar (unserviced). Ordered the lamb shank plate that came With a side of chicken soup/salad. Also ordered supreme gyro plate that has gyro topped with mushrooms and onions with tzatxiki sauce. Also server with side salad (all lettuce, no olive. 1-2 pieces cucumber) and potatoes (oily) overall all our dishes were underwhelming and the lamb shank looked like it was heated from a prior meal. The gyro meat also was not hot enough. Honestly only the potatoes tasted freshly made. They have a full bar, wines and draft cocktail menu.

It's ok. Nothing "wowed" me and I haven't been back in a long time. I think Pita Mediterranean Street Food on exit 13 is better.

The portions were very big but the food was cold and the gyro tasted really bad. The calamari was good though.

In spite of being disappointed, we will order from here again because of quality of the food. The details: Visited midweek before the dinner rush hour & ordered takeout directly from the counter. Ordered 2 greek salads. one w/ chick & one with falafel. For an additional side, asked if they had the babaganoush & on receiving the affirmative, oordered. They have a system where you order base, then protein etc ... easy peasy. On returning home found no baba ganoush & both salad entrees had chicken. So our pescatarian in the house was sol. Food quality is very good. The tomato & olives were good quality. The dressings & taziki excellent as is the humus. Improvements wished for: Greek salads should have the promised feta not feta dust. This is a true takeout type of establishment, a few tables are available as is a TV to view while waiting for your order.

I do love Mediterranean food, but quite frankly I can make a lot of this myself homemade by the way much better. Now I understand that some of this is per taste, and because I have lived in an area in which I've been able to experience extremely good Mediterranean food I know that that's used my opinion a little bit more. The service is at the counter and they do bring the food out to you, but it's not full service by any stretch of the imagination. That doesn't bother me to eat his own. And of course you're going to have your own business style that you'd like to focus on. And this is also a great way to cut down on payroll cost. The person at the counter was very polite and they walked us through how to order. The place is very plain in decoration. We did sit on the patio which was somewhat enjoyable and they did a good job given the fact that the patio is next to the parking lot in the street. But it did have nice shaded areas.

I gave my honest opinion: Positive: -Beautiful interior with a lot of space for diners -Delicious foods with big proportions -Plenty of parking in a lit plaza Negative: -VERY slow service -Not greeted -No smile -Not very friendly Restaurant opens at 11:30 AM. I got there at 1 PM with my Aunt and there was nobody there. I went to the other side of the restaurant lingering and wondering if we should just go find our seat or stand there. There was another couple that was seated already. A server finally came out to deliver foods, don't even acknowledge us, and after putting her foods down, walked away. I had to stop her and asked if we seat ourselves. No hello, welcome, or anything. She didn't smile and only gestured something and walked away. We were confused and walked back to the other side where a man was at the register finally. We asked him the same thing and he went to go get the server lady. She finally took us to our booth. Again, didn't ask us if it's our first time, if we had any questions, nothing. The didn't let the lack of enthusiasm deter my mood because I am there to try out the foods. It took forever for the server to come back to get our order. Foods did arrived in a reasonable amount of time, big proportions, and everything tasted as good as it looks. Took us 2 hours from beginning to end dining there even though there were only 3 couples eating there, including us, during lunch on a Wednesday. That's how slow service was. I can't even imagine how it'll be during a big crowd on weekend nights. The prices were on the same level as Delbar and Rumi's. However, the other restaurants has top notch service. The service here acts as if we're doing them a favor by paying them for the foods. I will probably not come here again even though it's close to my area. If it still stands by next year, I will probably give them another chance.

There's no formal dress code, so some tables were fully dressed in fancy outfits celebrating birthdays. While other tables were in sweatshirts and jeans. So just wear whatever you want. The small appetizer plate they bring out is good, I ate the flat bread with a hummus I ordered. The hummus is solid but I'd probably try a different dip the next time. I ordered the Salmon kebab plate. I was asked how I wanted my salmon cooked, and I said well-done. But how they cooked it was amazing! The salmon was fully cooked but still flaky and tender, and juicy. I found it flavorful enough, but there is a salt and pepper grinder on the table if you need it. It comes with a roasted tomato and a huge mound of saffron rice. I liked the rice a lot but it is a bit plain. If you want a more flavorful or interesting rice, you can add a different rice for $4. Those extra charge ones come with a lot more toppings like different nuts, herbs, or dried fruits. I'd like to try more different dishes next time, but what I was very satisfied by what I ordered. The restaurant is very dimly lit. The server was very nice and attentive. It's in a strip mall area so parking isn't hard to find.

We visited around 3 PM on a Friday for a late lunch and were seated quickly. As a vegetarian, I was happy to see that they have plenty of options on the menu. We started with the yogurt dip with cucumber and the baba ghanoush, both of which were very tasty. For my main dish, I ordered the veggie kebabs, which come with saffron rice and grilled pineapple--my favorite part. Everything was flavorful and well prepared. They also offer lunch specials from 11 AM to 3 PM on certain weekdays, and we happened to arrive just in time to take advantage of that, which was a nice bonus. Parking was easy as well. I would definitely come back!
