Hands down the best food in town. Their chicken doner is seriously next level. The service makes it even better super friendly staff who actually seem to care. The place has a great, cozy vibe too. read more

I've ordered a pizza delivery from Antonino's a couple of times and apart from a few teething…read moreproblems, would say their pizzas are some of the best in the Peterborough area. Our first order was delayed because the driver was given the wrong address. Mistakes happen and they apologised, but it would have been nice for Antonino's to have compensated us somehow. Then to make matters worse, the pizza wasn't cut into slices - hardly cause for concern as my parents taught me basic knife and fork skills as a child, but I can't remember the last takeaway/delivery pizzeria that didn't pre-slice their pizza. Those niggles aside, the pizza tasted good. The second time we ordered, the pizzas arrived within 45 minutes and again, no slicing. I had made a mental note after the first instance to ask for the pizzas to be sliced, but in the excitement of ordering, I'd forgotten. I've not eaten at their Yaxley restaurant, but if you're in South Peterborough I'd happily recommend the Antonino's takeaway.

Also a little out of Peterborough - about 5 miles - so not sure it worth the drive. Parking is fine on the main road as not very busy. It's been aroud for a very long time and has a good reputation - which counts for a lot. Maybe more suited to parties of 2 or 3.

Definitely child friendly with colouring and activity books and a good childrens menu - certainly my daughter's choice for pizza. Staff have always been friendly and helpful and having visited several times over the last year we will soon go back again. A real bonus is Pizza Express take Tesco vouchers which offsets the prices, which are on the high side - and is the reason this doesn't get 5 stars.

The site said you must place a delivery order with a minimum of £20, so we made sure to order enough food to meet the requirement! After an hour had passed they called and said our order was ready but the minimum delivery fee was £30. When I explained over the phone that the website had a lower price listed, they said the "website hadn't been updated". The price or the outdated site wouldn't have been a problem, it was just a bummer to wait an hour to find out that there was a lack of communication on their end... Needless to say, we didn't get to try the pizza tonight :(

Far better than Dominoes! The side salad was different, but that might be because I'm American. It seemed like every kind of salad in one. Pasta salad. Potato salad. Coleslaw. Salad salad. Everything but fruit salad. It was still good, just different. I carbonara was good. I like mine a little saucier, but it was tasty. The cheesecake isn't to die for, but it wasn't bad either. It definitely hit the spot. After living in St. Ives for nearly two years, I'm upset I didn't find this place earlier. I'll definitely order from here again.

For the days where I am really hungry, the house special is amazing. A collection of all the meats on offer and is supposed to feed 2. The quality of the food is second to none; the staff are always glad to see you and have a chat, the place is immucataly clean and the prices are just right for what you are getting. They do offer a delivery service but I have allways prefer to go to the shop and have a little banter with the staff. Once you have been there is nowhere else. 2 Years on and I still stick by my initial review.

Stamford is one of the better Pizza express outlets that we go to. We have tried several…read moreincluding Newark, Peterborough, Melton Mowbray and Stamford. For some reason Stamford does my favourite pizza, the Etna really well. They seem to put more ingredients on the top including the chillis. The others are all good but Stamford perhaps due to the ambience and location just do it better for me. The menu is pretty standard across the company. They mainly do pizza but have a few pasta dishes also. I like the deserts where they do a smaller desert and a coffee for around £5. The desert isnt big but after the pizza I cant generally fit a big one in anyway. The espresso coffee is nice. We tend to go with a voucher on the Pizza Express iphone app, which normally gives you a buy on get another main for a pound or a pizza and a desert and a drink for a set price amongst other deals. At least the recession gives us a few more deals at places to eat! The menu for the kids is okay and is good value around £6 forva 2.5 course meal, consisting if dough balls and a salad foolowed by a pizza and then hot frothy milk hence the point 5. You know what you are getting with Pizza Express as it is a nationwide chain and the standard is generally pretty good. The Stamford restaurant is clean and tidy, the toilets could do with a lick of paint due to water splashes near the drier. There are some interesting facts positioned around the restaurant concerning Stamford which give you some talking points and some new general knowledge. The staff are mainly Eastern European and apart from one recent occasion where we had to order in the way the waiter wanted us to order (anti clockwise around the table as opposed to ladys first etc) they have been very good servers. The iphone app allows you to pay via paypal, which is very useful indeed and I have used this method on my last 6 times.

Extras such as garlic dough balls, garlic bread, ice cream, fizzy drinks are all available. Located a few doors down from a Pizza Hut take away, the competition between the two keeps the good offers in place. Usually the offers are for collection only. The only snag is that waiting can be a long time (30 mins) on a busy night and parkins isn't alway easy with the Broadway Theatre just across the road. For me, choosing between Dominos and Pizza Hut is like choosing between two similar things. They bothe make pizza of a certain style and offer similar toppings. I personally don't go in for frills, so Dominos just edges for me, but not by much.
