Baboy Boys mobile kitchen aka food truck specializes in Filipino food center around pork. Well baboy is the Tagalog/ Filipino word for pig or pork (can be used interchangeably). I saw the food truck in downtown Sacramento around lunch time. First time and I never heard of them before. I eyed the menu. My first choice of lechon was sold out. I pondered my next move and ultimately ordered a baboy sisig plate. I have never had sisig before nevertheless the pork version. Pork sisig is a pork dish made of chopped pork ( ear, belly and fat At least that's what the menu stated) in a soy citrus glaze. The pork had a slight sweetness. The order was served with white rice and spring roll. It was $23, ouch. A bit pricey. A container of vinegar was included which I didn't know could been used to pour over the sisig to add another depth of flavor, sourness. Sweet n sour. The fried spring roll had a so satisfying audible crunch as I bit into it. Crunchy crisp exterior. Yummy inside. The food came out on a paper boat. No not the kind Stuart Little used. The kind of plate that's curved up and open, with no lid. The boat was loaded up. Nice. But I'm a bit clumsy and as I was walking with this, internally I was saying to myself, "don't drop it." I'm obsessed with their jerky! It's $15 a pack, but it is SO GOOD! If you've never tasted it it's easy to pass on, but then they offer you a sample and as soon as your taste buds connect with a bite it's game over. I've been known to buy multiple packs when I see this food truck, just because I know if I bring it home my family will devour it. On top of the incredible jerky, they also have so many delicious options. I usually go for the longpia and it's always packed with flavor. I also like that their sweet chili sauce has a bit of a kick to it. You can't go wrong with any of their dishes and it typically doesn't take too long for your food to be ready after ordering. They do give you a little buzzer so you don't have to hover, and the food is always hot and fresh. Whenever I'm at an event with Baboy Boys I'm stopping. read more

They have a variety of different items and actually take the time to make it look as good as it tastes. Randomly stopped by a festival and seen this food truck with the longest line of all the food vendors... so you know you I had to wait in line and try it! The line actually went pretty quickly and the guys taking my order had some awesome recommendations! The lumpia was soooooo crispy and fresh and the chicken was very good! I've been wanting to try this place for awhile and I'm so happy we finally did. They were at the holistic and fitness expo, and we caught them at the very end of the expo so they didn't have all their items available. We ordered the nachos and it was a good portion. Service was quick and cashier was very friendly. I ordered the small lechon plate $16 and side of lumpia $13. I think the food was overpriced for what I got. I personally wasn't a fan of either of the things I ordered. The lechon was mostly fat and very crunchy to the point it was hard to chew. The lumpia was a decent size, the outside was crunchy, and inside was soggy. It seemed like the lumpia only has meat and carrots, and it had a strong vinegar taste. read more

Had the Lechon Tacos. You get three of them for $13.00. Very flavorful and the skin was nice and crispy. You have to be a Lechon lover to appreciate this taco because that pretty much all there is in it. A little but of onions and tomatoes and the rest is all lechon. You get a very good amount of meat for the price. I thought it was a better deal than the Lechon Plate for $25 if you are really just interested in lechon. The menu felt pretty limited. i wish there were more options. But i was pretty happy with what i bought. These guys are amazing. My parents were paying for catering for our wedding and wanted to make sure lechon x 2 was a part of our menu. My husband and I didn't want a formal sit down menu, we wanted a casual buffet style wedding. We found Baboy boys on the knot and decided to seek them out for a taste test. We brought our kids along and loved their beef braised in red wine, pancit, lechon, almond and beans, which was pretty much what we had served on our wedding. Our wedding site was in Kelseyville where they were able to prep and cook onsite with their food truck. They travelled about 2 hours to the location and reassured us they have their own generator if needed. With our ranch, casual style wedding, they were our kind of guys to get the job done. You won't make a mistake hiring these guys, they both worked in French Laundry so they are well trained chefs. Most importantly they both have great work ethic and integrity. We were so fortunate that we found them, we had to reschedule our wedding a week before back in May due to Covid and they accommodated our new wedding date even if it was Jodi and his wife's anniversary. Baboy Boys has been 5 stars in my book since day one! We have been fans since before they renamed to Baboy Boys but their food quality has always remained the same. I love that they offer quality Cebuano style lechon but also in modern fusion style forms like burritos, tacos, etc! You can't go wrong with their classic rice plates but my all time favorites are their lechon burrito and the grilled pork belly. The meat is so super tender and flavorful! Have not been blown away by a food truck in a while, but these lechon plates got me! Tried Baboy Boys for the first time today. I didn't feel like waiting for the line last time I saw them, but glad I did today. My family and I got the sisig plate and two lechon plates. We were not crazy for the sisig plate (we like more lime and jalapeño), but we still have to give five stars for the lechon plate. Bonus: they gave samples of their adobo bacon jerky and it was the perfect amount of sweet and spicy. Wish I got a bag but the line kept getting longer after I tried a piece and paid out. Next time! Overdue review however I've tried numerous vendors at the farm to fork event in downtown located on 3rd street and N. Baboy boys had a long line however their food was pumping out really fast.
