Hired them. They measured. 6 months later they installed the fence with 2 gates, which are…read moreREQUIRED since I have a pool. One gate was installed so that it will not close, leaving me libel if someone--a child or pet--opens it and drowns in the pool. Refused to inspect it for 3 years. Finally came out and told me too bad, they refused to fix their error. Hire them at your own risk.

Apart from…read morebeing the most expensive quote we received, it could easily be the worst experience we've ever had. After months of waiting it was finally our turn..."they", I use that term loosely bc it was only 1 guy, showed up a week late and on the weekend. The 1 guy was nice enough to call his girlfriend to come put water in all the post holes WITHOUT leveling. The fence went up, was crooked, and leaning! Called to have them come back out and fix the AWFUL fence they charged me a fortune for and it took another month for "them" to get back out. AGAIN, the same one guy showed up and spent another 2 days fixing MOST of the awful job done previously. IT'S STILL NOT RIGHT and worse is we have no confidence they can actually make it right SO my 60yr old husband will be fixing the fence we paid a fortune for. Dissatisfied, upset, and irritated would be an understatement. THINK TWICE...then THINK 5 MORE TIMES...THEN if you don't care about quality or how the fence will look CONSIDER "them"...though likely it'll just be 1 guy.

I was really impressed with Jorge - so sincere and kind. I asked if he could match a lower quote i'd received, but understandably, he couldn't. unfortunately, I decided to go with the cheaper guy...and it ended up being one nightmare after another - in the end, it cost me even more than J Garcia's quote! It was a total mess....I REALLY regretted not hiring Jorge!!! Fast forward to 2025 - i needed to remove a wood fence and rebuild a new one on the other side of my house. I called J Garcia. James, the sales guy, came out and spent a lot of time analyzing what i needed. I was so impressed with his technical fence knowledge and attention to detail ...and he was just as kind and sincere as I'd remembered Jorge being. he even said they would fix the failing gate that the cheaper fence guy built in 2021! I hired them without even getting another quote! Jorge's kindness clearly permeates his entire company: Their permit manager, Kathy, is so helpful and resourceful and has a vast knowledge of the permitting process. George, the project manager, was there every step of the way, and when we encountered a minor hiccup, he addressed it immediately with professionalism and patience. Pedro, the installer was amazingly meticulous and precise -- truly a master craftsman! Oscar, Roberta and the whole team have amazing follow up. And James (sales) was available throughout the install to answer any questions. I've already referred J Garcia to two different neighbors, who seem to be just as impressed. I can't recommend them enough! I love my new fence!

A couple weeks ago, our double gate blew down in a windstorm. Great Fence gave us a fair price for the replacement and, once again, did an outstanding job. I want to share my experience so others can avoid what happened to me…read more When I met with the sales representative, I clearly explained that I wanted a double gate on one side of my property and a single walk-through gate on the other side. Throughout my conversations with multiple representatives in the office, they repeated exactly what I wanted back to me, so I believed we were all on the same page. A contract was prepared, but here's where customers need to be extremely careful. The contract contained shorthand terminology and a vague drawing that was not clearly explained. I later discovered that what was discussed verbally was not reflected clearly in the written contract. My advice to anyone considering this company is to review every single line of the contract before signing. Don't assume that because you've discussed something multiple times, it's included in the agreement. If there's anything you don't understand, insist that they explain it in plain language and make sure every detail you requested is written clearly in the contract. When the installation began and I realized the fence was not being built the way I had requested, I immediately contacted the company. Rather than addressing what we had discussed in our conversations, I was repeatedly referred back to the contract. I was then told I would have to pay additional money to get what I had originally requested. This left me feeling disappointed and misled. When I spoke with the manager and expressed that I felt I had been treated unfairly, his response was that his company had completed work for judges, county officials, and police officers without complaints. While I understand he was trying to defend his company's reputation, that response did not address my concerns. As an everyday, hardworking customer--not a judge, county official, or police officer--I expected the same level of care, attention, and accountability. I'm sharing this experience so that others, especially those of us who are simply hardworking members of the community and not judges, county officials, or police officers, know to protect themselves. Make sure the company writes exactly what they promise, and that what is written matches what was discussed. Read the contract carefully, ask questions, and don't sign until every detail is documented clearly. It could save you from unexpected costs, additional charges, and unnecessary frustration. Plus, if you're using a VISA card, they will charge you a 4% fee, although the Visa surcharge limit is 3%
