If I had the money, this would be my salon of choice. I've been here before for apprentice cuts which have cost nothing, however, I've always been treated as a full-paying customer, which makes me think that their apprentices must turn into fine hairdressers.
Away from other shops and situated on a relatively quiet street in Paddington, the Bach salon is serene and the service professional making for a relaxing and pampering experience. The thing I love best about it is the big, reclining massage chairs at the wash basins. The apprentices are also well-trained in the art of head massage--I could easily fall asleep sitting there.
The owner, Peter, is often in the salon and contrary to the stereotypes there may be about male hairdressers, he is very down to earth and friendly, and clearly takes a hands-on role in his business.
As I said, Bach is a bit out of my price range with cuts starting from $110, but for those cashed-up individuals, I highly recommend it. read more
