I traveled from Brooklyn to Syracuse to celebrate my 34th birthday, and from the moment I walked through the door, I knew I had made the right decision. Nikki welcomed me with such kindness and immediately made me feel comfortable. Sydni did my hair exactly the way I wanted it and made me laugh, which helped calm my nerves. Kelsey, my photographer, guided me through every pose, hyped me up the entire session, and made me feel beautiful and confident even when I doubted myself. Then Elise made my image reveal one of the most exciting moments of the entire experience. Her excitement was contagious, and seeing the photos for the first time left me speechless. I hadn't had my hair and makeup professionally done since I was 20 years old, and I had never had professional portraits taken before. I came in nervous, but I left feeling empowered. For the first time in a long time, I saw myself the way everyone else seemed to see me--beautiful, confident, and strong. From initial contact to image delivery, he's very attentive and communicative about you wants/needs, the process, etc. He's always a joy to work with and in a service industry, that is a must. He's great at working with adults and with kids (my 4 year old thinks he's the best because he knows about Lion Guard.) We were so impressed by their in-depth knowledge of what is involved to run a wedding reception - beyond just the music. They talked about the pacing of a reception and what goes into making a reception fun and memorable for all the guests (and the wedding couple). In addition, we loved how personalized an approach they took and we knew that they would customize our reception just how we wanted (and, of course, no cookie cutter music sets, no "required" parts of the reception and certainly no cheesy songs or games). Once we met both of them in person last Spring, we sat down and talked in more detail about the music for the reception. We had LOTS of unique and ecclectic music requests, but Roger and Cindy had no problems with this - they worked our music together in an amazing way. (We still - four months later - have guests talking about our cocktail hour music!) Also, they personalized the reception how we wanted and kept everything flowing seemlessly throughout. Our guests were up dancing, having fun and we had a blast through the whole time!
