My steak was dry, and I did not get it well-done. The shrimp was flavorful; the fried rice was good, but it had very few vegetables. Overall, the food here is pretty decent but not the best I've had with this type of food. Also, this place is very expensive, and for the portions they give, I really feel like it isn't worth it. So I was craving Benihana food but didn't want to go there so I looked up somewhere in my area Paramount and Bachi Yaki came up and I remembered I had had it before and it was good. I went to the location on Paramount blvd but the truck hadn't arrived yet it opens at 3pm. Not the type of gal to go on yelp and write reviews... i got a filet minion plate with steamed rice and veggies. It was okay, rice was hard it felt as pasty ish as if it wasn't washed or rinsed. Steak was okay very salty and the entire plate was mostly rice. The flavor has been off, the meat has been dry, and one time it tasted as if the grill hadn't been cleaned and we got all the burnt stuff left behind. I arrived to the window, let them know, and they said they have just opened up, and that to stand by for 15 minutes. As I'm writing this, it's been 30 minutes since, and I've asked for an update on my order. They told me " we just started working on your order", all with the most rudest tone of voice. My fiancé wanted us to have something different for Friday night dinner, so we gave this place a try. I was a little surprised by the prices but imagined that the food would match the dollar price. We paid $60+ for two entrees. The first one being a Lobster & Shrimp Combo and the second being the Lobster Noodles. First off, the portions were huge. Sadly, the noodles had rice at the bottom of the bowl. We were looking for just noodles, not white rice to fill in the bowl. The lobster shrimp plate was massive and had a good amount of shrimp. The BESSST hibachi lonchera! I've tried multiple different hibachi loncheras and by far bachi yaki has the best flavor, portion size, and pricing.
