Last Saturday I noticed a drip in my second level bathroom's exhaust fan. Upon inspection in the attic, I noticed some wet spots on a few rafters. Monday morning, 8 a.m., I called Bachman's Roofing and within an hour I had an appointment for Thursday, January 15, 8 a.m., for a roof inspection. Jason Miller arrived at my home and began the inspection, both in the bathroom and quite extensively in the attic. He found some raised nails, which he immediately began to repair. He worked on the roof, repaired the nails and a few other spots, and closed the door to the exhaust fan. Stay away from this company. I booked them through Lowe's. What a terrible mistake. I paid for a brand new sliding glass door. I could tell during the installation that it did not look right. no level used. They left the outside unfinished with no trim. I called to complain and they sent someone out and put the trim on with 2 little nails and it bent and came loose Soon after. The screen door keeps falling off because the door is not level. they sent someone to try and fix that and they told me sorry it's just not fitting correctly. Truly, I need the whole door taken out and redone. I looked at a review and one of them was from their scammer sales person. Think twice before you book a job with them. They basically told me they just send out unvetted contractors. so who knows who will be coming to your house. read more

SO where to begin. 1st off-theft of deposit. Deposit given to the bandits at the beginning of December 2025 when you pay over $2K and then no contact for 4 months. DISASTEROUS EXPERIENCE JEOPARDIZING INTEGRITY AND SAFETY OF MY HOME!!! In Sept 2025 I had new gutters installed by another company (THANK GOD). A-Top's estimate at the time was $7000. More than 2X what I paid for the same gutter installation. Anyway, when the old gutters came off there were issues from the roofing replacement performed by A-Top in 2017. Since 9/26/25 (9 weeks) I have been battling A-Top about the issues revealed. Of course they claim their work is not the problem. Apparently "Art K" (who also left a negative review), and I, must have had the same transient workers. Also with an inspection from the roadway! My fascia board in the front of my home is rotted beyond rot, drip edge installed incorrectly, not compensating for how the addition joins the main home. They just installed it haphazardly without any regard for the ramifications of it. Had A-Top did an inspection in 2017 these would have been caught. On 2 occasions a work crew was scheduled to come out to my house only to have been cancelled. Instead 2 more inspections from 2 separate A-Top employees. I had already had 2 previous inspections by A-top employees before work was scheduled. Ironically A-Top has performed 4 inspections on my home and yet in 2017 not 1 inspection for the roof replacement was performed by A-Top, where these issues would have been addressed then not 8 years later. I had coordinated with A-Top to have my new gutters removed on 11/3/25, since a scheduled crew was finally coming on 11/4/25. An hour after my gutters were down A-Top emailed that "gutter removal was not necessary and a crew was not coming the next day". Atim Muhammad (A- Top's General Manager) and a technician came on Nov 4th, removed all the wrap on my fascia boards to inspect a 3rd time. Atim scheduled a crew for Nov 7th only to have that appointment turn into inspection #4. I had 2 independent roofing companies inspect and they both concurred that A-Top dropped the ball in 2017! When I confronted Atim with their findings, he commented "they are biased, they only want the work". So I had a home inspector to my home. Atim had graciously offered me "complimentary services" to rectify some issues. I appreciated the offer and asked for them in writing. I have never received them. Instead, the only proposal Atim sent me 3 weeks later, was for me to pay $6000 for work he deems necessary. No mention of the "complimentary services" previously offered. My home inspection report DOES NOT recommend the work that A-Top wants to charge me for. 9 weeks later, throughout 6 rain storms and high wind conditions my home has no gutters, unwrapped fascia boards, faulty installed drip edge causing water infiltration and a damaged new gutter from laying in my yard for 3 weeks. Of course A-Top will not take responsibility for the damaged gutter I removed for them to do scheduled work. Instead he offered to charge me $650 for a new gutter. A-Top just notified me today that they are walking away from this situation after 9 weeks of dragging their feet. Even though we had an arbitrary date of 11/29/25 for work to be agreed upon to be performed. Apparently since my escalated approach to getting this situation rectified was threatening, all proposals are off the table. Not that the "complimentary services" were ever considered in Atim's proposal. Someone was to reach out to me about this escalated situation. No one has. ****This is Atim and A-Top's way of fulfilling their pledge... "We are committed to resolving this matter professionally and respectfully". Walking away from this issue by no means shows any type of "PROFESSIONALISM OR RESPECT"!!! A-Top is some how feeling amazingly comfortable leaving my home in the condition it is now in!! Cold weather and snow is predicted for next week. I never would've imagined in September that fixing my roofing issues by an "award winning roofing company" (GAF MASTER ELITE CERTIFIED) would last into December. This is an atrocity!! And this is their idea of "our commitment to supporting you as a valued, long‑standing customer of A‑Top Roofing and Construction"?? **Note here...Atim's proposal included me having to take down my previous negative review from Nov 6th. A- Top has been recently acquired by Bachman Roofing PA. This is the reason why customer service and has gone down, too many levels to go through with no response. I may have had an issue in the past with A-Top, but when Andy was at the helm, at least he had INTEGRITY and worked to resolve issues with his customers not leave them out in the cold!! Eric Bachman sold the company in the past year or so to a large private equity type company. Prices have sky rocketed. I got 4 bids all from GAF master elite roofers Bachmans were 75% more than the closest bid 120% more than the lowest bid. On the other hand they were very friendly and they have a good reputation. They bid on the same roof 10 years ago (decided to hold off replacing) and the price went from 19000 to now 48000. read more

I told the representative several times on the phone, that was that I was not ready to purchase a roof or get a loan at this time. I saw the ad on FB and decided to call and see what is up. The representative was very nice and I told her several times I was just looking for an estimate, She told me it's a free estimate and that's what they do for potential customers. I asked her if she was sure because I don't want to waste anyone's time. She said for me not to worry but I did. I knew she was wrong. Derek came at his appointed time and started to ask me questions. I told him pretty much up front that I was just looking for an estimate because I need to save money for it. That I wanted a metal roof. He told me I could get financing and I told him again, I just wanted an estimate. I can see he was getting angry just by his body language and his tone got sharper. He asked me why I made the phone call and what did I expect. Once again I told him what I told the representative, I was just looking for an estimate. He leaned back in his chair and put his hands on his thighs. He quickly gave me an estimate for a metal roof. I apologized again because I can see his frustration and the anger he was trying to keep in check. I pulled the text message of the representative and gave Derek her name. I told him I was sorry for all this mess. He said it's not my fault but the customer service departments fault. THEY ARE A BUNCH OF DEI HIRES! This last remark before he left, pissed me off. I waited over a week to do this review. I am not saying Bachman's Roofing does not support DEI, but their salesman supports DEI. I've never had such an amazing experience with an emergency situation. Bachman's has a long term customer from this military family, due to their amazing service. My attic heat pump unit stopped working properly, and the HVAC company informed me it was damaged due to a roof leak dripping directly onto the unit. With multiple days of rain forecast, I had no choice but to search for local roofing companies that may be able to help, to tarp the roof and look at possible replacement. Bachman's had great reviews, and it appeared they covered about all of Pennsylvania. Overwhelmed by a cold house and the knowledge that water was continuing to damage my heating system...(and trying not to cry on the phone) I called Bachmans and explained that we are an active duty family and I was trying to handle the situation myself, but needed help. I was connected to their Storm response manager Marci, who took special care to communicate through the entire process. In the middle of rain and wind, a rep from Bachmans made a service call to my house and secured a tarp over my roof in the area that was leaking. The representative hand measured my roof to give an estimate for replacement. Bachman's pricing is fair and reasonable, and they accept financing options, so I went ahead and scheduled a replacement, while waiting for my home owners insurance to respond to the situation. Due to weather forecast, Bachmans had to do my roof replacement the day before my insurance adjuster was able to come out (a week later!), so their staff took detailed photos of the damage and "before" condition. The building team showed up promptly at 7am, and were done by 2pm. I was impressed by the attention to detail, moving all of my items from around the house, putting huge drop cloths down to catch materials, and performing careful cleanup after the work was done. The new roof looks great. Marci worked with me throughout the process, including providing all of the needed photos and helping me work with the accounting team to work out financing. I'm so grateful for the extra care they show to veterans and military families, especially this stressed out and overwhelmed mil spouse through a crisis. read more

I hired Bachman because a previous roofer messed up my flat roof job. I hired an inspector through Bachman. Jimmy was kind, thorough and helpful. He explained everything well & seemed to genuinely care. One thing we talked about was the chimney. The bad company put the flashing way too high (they were trying to cover broken bricks). Not only did this look horrible, but it leaked worse into my house. Jimmy gave me an estimate for repairs. Let me say that I am an artist & my house is a midcentury ranch. It's beautiful & one of the reasons we bought it. My concern was to keep the integrity & aesthetic of the house. Jimmy seemed to get this, which is why I felt safe hiring Bachman. He said repeatedly "you might not have the house forever, so I understand why you want things to look good too." Our communication was clear: the flashing was too high & once I got a new chimney, Bachman would come in & do it right. I got clarification from the masons too. They assured me the old roofers did the flashing too high to cover bricks & it was wildly unnecessary & ugly. I ran this by Jimmy. Again. Though the masons had their own roofers for the flashing, Jimmy assured me Bachman could do it. I wanted to hire who could do the job right & make it look good again. Because Jimmy & I had talked about it extensively, I chose Bachman. Unfortunately, the chimney sat for over a month with just plastic over it. Not at all the timeline expected. Each time it rained, the water damaged my ceiling more. I hired an amazing mason to rebuild my chimney. It cost $5k. He took time to find the right bricks and we made a plan together, as aesthetics are important to me. I tell everyone that comes to work on the house. Then, guess what? Bachman came in & did exactly what I didn't want. For months I worked OVERTIME to make my requests known, even up to the day they finally came. I stopped a guy as I was leaving my house to be assured it was not going to look like the last flashing job. The chimney flashing is awful. It looks like they modeled it after the bad flashing job from before, a blatant disregard to everything we discussed. Just as high & black. (Apparently there are better color options for my house?) Was no one listening to me at all? I've been looking at flashing on every house now & nothing looks as ridiculous as this. It's a BRAND NEW chimney. When I confronted them, they assured me that it's a good job & disregarded me... as if we didn't talk about this SPECIFICALLY for months, as if this wasn't the reason I hired them & waited for them while my ceiling crumbled & cracked. The gaslighting is unreal. The chimney was beautiful. Bachman ruined it, a waste of all the time/money spent making it look great. The hideous flashing is nearly a foot high, & as another contract said, it wouldn't need to be double the standard if they did it right. The disregarded months of communications, placated my partner & I & now I'm expected to trust they lived up to the rest of their promise? There are still gaps in corners we discussed and now I hear a critter possibly in my crawl space? In my mind, Bachman has ruined the integrity & aesthetics of my home, what I worked so hard to maintain, what I WAITED for. I can't even look at it without getting upset. At the end of the day, it's more than some ugly flashing: I trusted them after someone screwed me over. I worked hard to communicate my expectations on aesthetics specifically. That's why I hired them. I referred others before this happened. They were kind & seemed to understand. (I even got them a complete roof job with my friend). But talk all they are. I take reviews & networking seriously. I'm not sure if they treat others this way. Is it because we are females? It's so disappointing. No one has offered to make right on their words. They are silent. So I have to hire another company to fix their job? And maybe an inspector, since they couldn't do this one thing I asked for/can see. I will not recommend them. read more

Contacted Lowe's to get an estimate for vinyl siding. They sent out Bachman roofing. I was told by Bachman roofing that they are the only siding subcontractor Lowe's uses. The sales person came to the house did his estimating sat down and reviewed his estimate with me. Showed me all the measurements pictures of how the siding would look And gave me a price. I asked him if he can send me the information regarding measurements and photos. He said he would send it all to Lowe's and Lowe's would send back the information. Two weeks went by and received nothing from either Bachman roofing or Lowe's. Once we spoke with Lowe's, they just sent the estimate price with no documents attached. Finally received some sort of breakdown from Bachman roofing with the square footage. Based on my measurements Bachman roofing over estimated the square footage by more than double. Which was reflected in a ridiculous price of $13,000. Will not use them and will never go through Lowe's again for this type of work. read more

Chris was very communicative and nearly immediately answered all our questions whether they'd arise; he was very helpful. We only had to wait a few weeks for the work to start after signing the contract. The work itself has completely transformed our home into one of the best-looking in the neighborhood and my wife and I couldn't be happier with the results. The guys who worked on our siding worked very hard and did the job right and beyond my expectations. They even laid down fresh mulch along the house after finishing. Everyone involved was communicative, answered and all questions and corrected some minor aesthetic issues without hesitation. I'd recommend Bachman's to anyone needing a new roof or any type of maintenance, repairs, or construction. You get what you pay for with this company. We live in a small town near Pittsburgh where skilled labor has been very difficult to find. We asked the BBB to help us with a company that could replace the roof on a commercial building we own. Kevin met with my husband and gave us a price. The price at the time we felt was steep but we would later learn that for the amount of work performed and the quality of the work performed, it was well worth the cost. Kevin is VERY responsive and was able to answer any questions we had. Their customer service is outstanding. The finance department made it easy by offering a payment plan that fit our budget. The street in front of the building needed to be shut down to perform the work and they took care of handling all the necessary paperwork to get that done with the city. Would we use Bachman again? Seemed a lot over priced to replace the vent cover and a few shingles in the process. Went on roof to check things out for the winter and coming 3 days of rain. Found the vent seal completely deteriorated so used roofing cement to seal it to keep the coming rain from damaging the interior and called Bachman and informed the person I spoke to what I had done. Whomever came over was not happy and informed my wife that what I had done was going to make the repair more expensive. It definitely would make it messier but $425 for that type of repair seems high when the repair took a half hour or less and materials were negligible in cost. read more

A hail storm came thru our area this past spring. WE thought nothing of it as the hail did not look very big to us. Then a neighbor told us that we should get it looked at because they had a complete loss. Jimmy E from Bachman came out to inspect the roof, and help guide me thru the insurance process. He even came out to meet with the inspector from the insurance agency. Worked thru pricing, got us a price on a non covered skylight and we were off. Seems pretty5 star? Reason for the 4 stars is simple, when you sign your contract it says they are not responsible for cracked plaster. A Dozen plus guys on your roof with hammers will possible cause damage. So... we accepted their offer to repair, and then we waited for the scheduling. It seemed to take FOREVER, we had told them we needed to know in advance so we could book our dog sitter. (Future reference, you should take your cats out too, mine are fine now but the day off they were not happy). I get a phone call like 5 days out that they wanna do the roof. We scramble , get the dog sitter, and I'm told it's going to take a day, so we book her for a day. It wound up taking 2 and the roof looks fine and whatnot, but they really didn't account for scheduling on the client end. As for the plaster cracking, it looks like when they pulled the skylight out and replaced it with the new one, they damaged the surrounding area. They offered to come install some trim around it, but we found their price to be unreasonable. OVerall the roof looks good, the new skylight looks good and their service and communication were very good. Just a few hiccups. read more

I paid this company to install a new roof! A month later the ceiling was leaking in my bedroom. I called them back and they sent workers to "fix" it. The ceiling continued to leak so I called another roofing company to come take the roof off. When they removed the roof it was discovered that Bachman roofing covered up a huge hole in the roof with a piece of material but did not adequately repair the hole. I had to pay for an entire new roof installation. They took advantage of me because I am a woman who contracted them on my own! The staff is nasty and very disrespectful. Do not trust this company. Terrible workmanship and invoicing for work not performed. My HOA has been dealing with this companies poor workmanship for years. We always give them the benefit of doubt to make food on the bad work. Recently we paid almost $900 to have our gutters and downspouts cleaned on one building. They failed to clear the downspouts which we reported. The happened on November 27 so of course we had to wait until the next rain fall on December 10 to see if the water was flowing. It was not so we called them to clear them since it was not done correctly 13 days earlier. The charged us $400 stating more debris could have went into the downspouts! Leaves have already fallen from the trees and the building is too tall for the leaves to blow up and down the spouts. They lost a long term customer and they are not recommended at this point. We are going to be needing new roofs however Bachman's Roofing company WILL NOT be getting our business. read more

The early July storms opened up a major leak in my roof, and I wasn't able to find a local roofer who was willing and able to repair it timely. I came across Bachman's website, not paying attention to where they were located, submitted an inquiry, and got a call the next day. Days later, Tim and his colleague came all the way out to West Philadelphia first to evaluate the damage, and then to replace several missing shingles on my row home roof and reinforce the sealant around a skylight, and I couldn't be more grateful. Serious storms have come through since, with nary a drip. Everybody was pleasant and well-informed, from scheduling to completion. They did the work safely, from the outside of my home, and socially distanced as appropriate. Charged a very fair price. Maybe they do roofing best, but the siding job performed on my home was horrendous. The crew showed up late, when they did arrive. The lead, I assume that was his position stood at his van on his phone most the day. They trampled every flower & plant around my home. There was insulation and trash left everywhere. I found so many nails in my driveway, gardens and even in my gutter. Everyone on the crew smoked and left cigarette butts in my gardens. There was pencil marks, poor cuts and atrocious caulking everywhere. I would avoid using this company if you are looking for siding replacement. read more

The salesman, Bart, was professional and did an excellent job of educating me about my choices and what would be needed to make the switch from cedar to an architectural shingle. The foreman, Wilson, also did an impressive job communicating with me about progress and kept the job site clean while making sure our landscaping was well protected. The one bump in the road was slight water damage inside the house when heavy rain fell without enough warning time for the crew to tarp the roof. This was fixed at Bachman's expense. They broke a window and it took over 6 months to get the replacement window installed. We refused to pay the entire bill until the job was finished. After the first round of debacles, the roof tiles were literally flaking off the roof. They resisted taking any action on this until we pushed back and refused to pay the rest of the bill. They finally came out and did repair them. I'm now waiting for the next round of tile flaking. Their delays costs me real money. I refused to pay the remainder of the bill until the work that should have been done was done. I waited for the revised bill, and it never came. Then they called and threatened me. We had a roof and window capping project done by Bachmans starting this past November 4th. I say starting because we were told that both projects could be done in one day of work. The quote was reasonable and we accepted. After the roof was completed we noticed the windows we asked to be capped were not done. It was a Friday morning when we noticed the issue and I emailed over the weekend to let the person who did the estimate know. I then got a phone call on Monday letting me know the project was marked as complete and I would be getting an invoice by email. I explained the situation and was told someone would reach out. The second person spoke to me like I was a child and said the crew reported doing the 3 requested window caps on the back of the home. As it turns out the estimator labeled the schematics of my house wrong with the front (facing the side) as the back so they actually REMOVED existing caps and replaced them. But she would forward the information to production. They call and give me more runaround asking which windows I needed done. The ones that are still unfinished! Finally after several phone calls I was told a crew would stop by "when they were in the area next". Over 3 weeks goes by and I get a phone call that they will come the next day. No one showed up. I call them back December 23rd and I'm pretty irritated. They promise to have someone out on Monday the 27th. Not holding my breath. Day of, they cancel because of weather. Ok I understand that, I don't want the crew working in bad weather. FINALLY the next day they finish the windows. Almost 2 months after the "one day" project. I get the invoice, and I question it because the job took so long to complete. I had director of operations Carl Rost calling me within 5 minutes. He was extremely rude and condescending during the entire phone call and kept insisting the team did more than the job they were asked to do. I never asked for them to do extra work. Looking at my home it's incredibly obvious which side is the front and even if not, the instructions were to cap the 3 windows not remove and replace existing capping. Overall the work is done, but the customer service, communication and the way we were treated was unacceptable and I will not be using or recommending them in the future. read more

June 3, 2020 a storm barreled through and the home we moved into in December had a leak in the roof over the kitchen. I called a local roofer early next morning, waited 2 hours and called Bachman's. Explained the situation to the lady answering the phone, she saw that we had a roof installed on our last house just over a year ago and was able to get someone to come out Friday morning. The guys were early and immediately got on the roof and found that the area around the skylights had to be resealed and re-nailed. They took care of it in no time and since this is a double-wide and the roof is 16 years old with only 20 year shingles, they suggested we look into getting the roof replaced in the future, or sooner if the skylights start to leak again. I'm hoping to make it through to late fall and then call Bachman back for an estimate to remove the skylights and put on anew roof. Based on my previous experience with them, I am 95% they will get the job! read more

Victor was our sales person. He came to our house 2 times, 1 to explain everything and 1 to get the money. Both times my husband and I were at the table with him. He COMPLETELY ignored me!!!!!!!!!! I asked several times nicely to include me in the conversation, but he still ignored me. Also I went to your web site and saw that there was a $250 credit for any new customer. I e-mailed Victor to ask why he dis not mention this to us. He said that he could not keep up all that was the the web. That SHOULD BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE SALES REP!!!!!! We had 3 crews that did the work, 1 did the roof, 1 did the flashing and 1 did the gutters. Each crew member spoke little or no English and each of the 3 crews left without asking having us do a walk around to see if everything was done correctly. They just left!!!!. The gutter crew came before the flashing crew which is the opposite of what it should be. This was a very bad situation. I would DEFINATELY not recommend this company. After this post I had a long conversation with Victor's supervisor. According to him, he spoke to Victor and the other people about my concerns. Hopefully things will change. Hopefully the next person will not have the same experience that I did. Update: I was promised a refund form Robert if I changed my review from 1 star to 3 stars. I held up my part, but the company did not!!!!! I was informed by Carl Rost that they could NOT justify the rebate. I had a very small roof repair done by Bachman's and some interior work and it was the worst experience I've had with any "professional" company. The problems started right away with the lack of communication from the company. I was told someone would come put a temporary patch on my roof on a saturday (for 1 shingle and a hole) and the guy never showed up. Two weeks later they confirmed after more snow and days of rain that it was never covered and would be another 10 days until they could come do the "patch" I was given a day for someone to call me with a date when my entire job would be put into the schedule and was never called. I had to reach out to her several times. I was constantly chasing them for answers. I left several voicemails, no call backs. When I involved other people within the company...I was called and yelled at by the salesman (over the phone) because his boss wanted answers. He proceeded to tell me I had too many people involved. I was told the company had taken on a lot of new projects and were busy...hence the awful customer service. They then contracted my interior job out to some other company in Reading. The paint manager argued with me on the phone when I said the room was blue paint and he thought I should go with white instead and to "think about it" and let him know. They didn't do the work that was required for my house repairs which had been damaged by water. The plaster was to be scraped out and re-plastered and instead...they plastered over it and painted. So now my ceiling looks bumpy and unprofessional. The walls were painted but not even painted up to where the walls meet the ceiling. If the guys spent less time on smoke breaks they could have gotten my small living room painted in less than an entire day using 3 men. The paint guy "lead" didn't show up TWICE while scheduled (already beyond the promised finish date) and the first no show he didn't even answer his phone or return my call as to why he didn't show up. The 2nd time he lied saying his work truck was off the road in a snow bank and he was waiting on a tow truck to get him out. Then he called saying his truck was out and he was on his way again but showed up in a car. Then proceeded to ask us to not tell his boss. This company then had the audacity to CALL me....asking for final payment on the job (which was about $1200) and I had to inform them that the job wasn't even completed yet and I wasn't sending payment until the painters showed up to finish the work. Once that was completed...I mailed the final check and never heard another word from this company. They never asked about the completed work. I had complained prior about how it looked. No one reached out to me. This company took a huge payday for a job that wasn't done the way it was supposed to be done. I should have saved myself the money and did the work on my own. It would have looked as professional as it does now after "professionals" did the work. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone and will obviously, never use them again. read more

Terribly RUDE and IRRESPONSIBLE I had an appointment and the estimator never showed up or called to advise of a delay. So I drove 35 minutes to be at the appointment "ON TIME !" and 5 minutes after the appointment was supposed to start, I called the office to find out what happened. The operator said she would have Steve call me ASAP. 30 minutes later I got a call from "Steve" who said...Uhhh, I'm like an hour away, can you wait? I asked him why he didn't have the decency and professionalism to call me an hour and a half ago. He said....Uhhhhh, I was in an attic and my cell phone was in my truck. Really? I asked him why he couldn't excuse himself for 30 seconds to call me. Steve said...Uhhhh you know sometimes important appointments run over time and I'm very busy. Dude, everyone is busy these days, that's no excuse, you are no one special, Steve. Plus, is my business not important? All we, the consuming public ask for is professionalism and honesty, something I am not seeing from "Steve" the face of Bachman's Roofing. I then called the home office and the Sales Manager told me the same damn thing. You know appointments run over and Steve probably didn't know he would be late. Really? Sounds like an environment of enabling and lack of accountability to me. Again... let's do the math....If your appointment is at 1PM and you are one hour away from your appointment...if you are not in your truck driving to your next appointment by Noon, you need to be advising the potential client of your delay..... Any way, means nothing to me now, I FIRED them as a potential supplier and will move on to better, prompt, more professional organizations to take care of my many roofing needs. read more

My project is not complete yet, but every step of the way has been a 5 star experience. The team was very patient in working with me to get exactly the plan I wanted for my home remodel and then getting it to the price I can afford without compromising needs. Once the contract was signed, I started working with the project manager. It's a big project with new roof, windows, doors and siding. In addition, it includes finishing a garage interior, new kitchen, enclosing a porch to make a large new mudroom, and finish bathrooms. I could not be more impressed with the quality of each detail. Having remodeled a home in the past, this company has noticeably better attention to detail and much higher quality of work. In addition, we're living in he house through the remodel. The workers make sure they clean the house thoroughly and pay attention to ensure as little impact on our family as possible. They are kind and courteous. I look forward to updating once the project is complete but I am confident they'd get ten stars if it were possible! read more

I may give more stars if they ever finish our job. They went around our neighborhood drumming up business after the major hailstorm in our area a few months ago. They seemed reasonable however we now think they took on too many jobs and promised them all to be done in the same amount of time. The estimate was in late June, started the roof part of the job in mid-Aug, we were told told it would 3 days tops. On the third day, it was obvious they would NOT be finished by that day. We called because we were hosting a baptism for our grandchild that weekend and were told the dumpster would be gone and it was still there. They finished early Sept. Gutters were done within 10 days after. We were told the siding would be started by mid-Sept. After many phone calls, the siding was delivered Sept. 26 and left on our grass so it would die. Again,several frustrating phone calls and 9 days later, they show up to rip off the damaged siding and wrapped the house in Tyvek and left without telling us when they would be back. My husband later later picked up 14 roofing nails in our driveway and found 25 pieces of old siding strewn under our deck. We are still waiting for a return call about the new siding being finished. The point is their customer service has been very poor. We have to call with frustration every step of the way. The typical we want your business but we will take our time once we get it. I would NOT use them again. read more

Unfortunately my experience has not been favorable... Bachman's was contracted by Lowes to reshingle/ replace boards/ replace rafters on my home, so a big job over $10K. Firstly, the permit Bachman filed with the town was misleading - it stated roof repair was being done without mentioning rafters were being replaced, so the rafters were replaced without an inspection... Added to that, they sistered the new rafters onto existing rafters but left them resting on the ceiling joists (which are not designed to support the roof weight). This solution failed inspection and Bachman had to reopen the roof, install a solution that actually met code and have the work inspected before the roof was closed. As a result of two occurences of rafter replacement, the ceiling in my dining room has been badly damaged - the onsite foreman agreed the damage was worse than usual (they claim some nail popping is normal) and indicated they should repair it... But when I phoned Bart I was told "they are only nail pops which we don't repair". I emailed Bart photos, but not surprisingly Bachman have gone quiet - just another fly by night contractor so buyer beware. read more
