When it's your turn to be helped, they are very accommodating with sampling and answering any questions. All their gelato is made in-house. We ordered a Regular Ciocchino with Pistachio Cream in a cup. We chose up to 3 flavors -- Nocciola (Hazelnut), Salted Caramel, and Chocolate Pistachio Crunch. Three evening ago I treated a friend to ice cream at Bacio Di Latte, recently open in Stanford Shopping center, in Palo Alto, CA. We were served by two different people, the guy helped was unpleasant, I took nothing to it but I ended up getting served a half scoop portion as my friend helped by other server got a heaping full scoop on the a sugar cone. I'm totally disappointed, paying $8.50 for each serving but getting half scoop just for the fact that I ended up with a rude server. And my friend next to waited for few minutes for another serve to end their chat and get served. I'm not going back for sure and will spread my word around for their bad service read more

I really like the Bacio Di Latte location at Santana Row and was excited to see them open up at Stanford Mall. They are definitely on the pricier side when it comes to gelato/ice cream but the quality and flavor can't be beat. The line was relatively long on a Sunday afternoon (15-20 minutes). The staff was trying to work fast while giving out samples and putting together orders. I ended up with my usual- a small size of the giandujotto (hazelnut chocolate) and the caramel latte flavor with a fresh waffle cone on the side ($12). Super rich flavors, high quality gelato paired with a fresh, crunchy, thick waffle cone was a perfect afternoon pick me up on a warm day. Will definitely be back! read more

This place was lined up during the sunny day! Apparently it's a pretty popular gelato spot that recently landed in the Bay. I thought the gelato itself had nice flavors and was pretty creamy. I wouldn't wait forever in line for it but the line I was in didn't take that long. You can get a cone with pistachio cream, but I thought it was too sweet and extra messy since the gelato melts pretty fast. Once you walk in to Bacio Di Latte, the delicious waffle cone/cookie scent hits you. They have so many great flavors to choose from that it's hard to go wrong. I love the variety on the menu, whether you're in the mood for gelato in a cup or cone, an affogato, dairy-free, or even a cookie, there's something for everyone. The line can move a bit slowly since people like to sample different flavors, but once you place your order, service is quick and you'll be enjoying your gelato in no time. This was my first time having gelato and wow it was the best ice cream I've ever had! The line quite long but it went by pretty quickly, you're able to sample whatever flavors you like, they had a large selection as well as dipped waffle and sugar cones, we got the kid size chocolate pistachio crunch flavor and yogurt flavor and they were both 10/10. Big portions also being the smallest size, and the flavors were both super accurate and very strong with the smooth creamy texture of gelato. Mine had so many crunchy mix ins and pistachio paste! Stumbled upon this place randomly after eating at Stanford Shopping Center. Didn't know it was new until I came to leave a review! There was a line out the door on Sunday afternoon, waited around 20-30 minutes. The inside smells heavenly of freshly baked cones. We tried a few flavors and they were all delicious, I went with the custard cookies and cream. I recommend not getting the dipped pistachio/Nutella cream, it makes the gelato way too sweet. The gelato by itself is sweet enough. There are a few benches outside to inside your treat. Parking in the Stanford shopping center is easy and plentiful. read more

Gelato itself was ok but nothing super mindblowing. Prices were also quite steep so I didn't find it super worth. My daughter had a soccer tournament in Palo Alto, so we stopped by Stanford Mall for a cold treat. The line for Bacio di Latte was out the door when we dove by, but I dropped off my older child to wait in line while I looked for parking. The line was long, but it moved relatively quickly. It probably took about 30 min to be served, but it was so worth the wait! Bacio di Latte serves premium gelato using locally sourced milk from Clover, CA, with the recipe originating from Italy. They also sell cookies and coffee, even offering an affogato bar. I opted for a sugar cone, dipped in pistachio cream with a scoop of pistachio and crema torino. Both flavors were delicious, and not overly sweet. I was impressed that the pistachio actually contained whole pistachios, which is so rare. My favorite is the crema torino though, which is hazelnut gelato with a creamy chocolate spread with chopped and whole hazelnuts. It is out of this world! My daughter opted for the giandujotto, which is basically Nutella. It's combination of hazelnut and chocolate, and contains whole hazelnuts. I went back a week later and am happy to report that the line was much shorter the second time. I tried a decaf affogato with the crema torino and it was absolutely delicious! I usually get my affogatos with pistachio gelato, but I think the crema torino is my new favorite! The service here is exceptional as well. The employees do not rush you and allow you to sample the flavors before purchasing. Bacio di latte has only been open a month, but is a welcome addition to Stanford! read more

I came here yesterday for their grand opening @ 1pm. I was going to judge fair because it's brand new with newly trained employees that really haven't been put to the test. Let me begin by saying, it was a successful opening with a long line. It did take long for the employees to get orders ready because there is a certain technique in scooping the gelato in which I noticed some of them having issues with. I ordered a waffle cone dipped in pistachio sauce and topped with their popular pistachio flavor. The pistachio flavor is a great choice and entry flavor if you're new to the place. I didn't notice any chunks of nuts in the gelato, but I did notice a pretty high level of salt taste. Yes, it's good tasting but a bit on the salty end... maybe the ingredients were a bit off for this day or maybe this is how it is?! either way, it's good but just a heads up. I also ordered an affogato which was espresso poured onto a scoop of their house special milk flavored gelato. This was really good as well but again; it was salty too! I wish it wasn't salty because then I'd enjoy it more. The gelato is creamy and thick, but it did melt after some time. Not sure if it's because I waited a bit too long with all the orders being taken down and how "slow" things were going but I have to give it another chance. The prices range from about $9 - $13 for the cones, modified dips, etc. Yes, it's pricey but it makes sense with everything going up and location. There are so many flavors I want to try! I'll definitely be back for more. In comparison to most of the gelato places I've been to, Bacio Di Latte is up there in the top 5 for sure. My brother and I stopped by today and we really liked the gelato! The inside of the store is super cute and clean and the staff was friendly and offered samples. I was disappointed that they didn't have the pretzel flavor that is being talked about on social media right now, but I ordered the latte and biscotti flavor and the stracciatella. Both were really good! If you're planning to make a trip over, this is on the side of the mall near SoulCycle/Pinkberry/Peloton, so it's easiest to park in that lot. read more

I'd been reading about the coming of Bacio Di Latte for a while and didn't expect to be visiting so soon after the opening. I was completely unfamiliar with the brand, only knowing it to be a Brazilian gelato company. What I thought was just going to be a casual walk-by to enjoy another day ended up with a wait in the lengthy line and piccolo waffle cone. The space is lovely--small, charming, beautifully styled. For premium product at premium pricing I wouldn't expect or settle for any less. The last person in line was just out the door, and given the small size of the place, I definitely underestimated the wait time. Once I got eyes on the counter it was clear where the slow down comes from--customer sampling. It was in no way discouraged, in fact it was absolutely service with a smile. One employee looked like he couldn't be happier handing out those little sticks. Sampling 3 flavors while others wait just isn't my style. I used my time in line to pull up the website and browse the flavors so I would be ready to go when it was my turn. I love gelato and knew I'd be back another day to try another flavor. I got Peanut Butter Chocolate Carmel and I knew it was going to be great when I could smell the peanut butter before even tasting it. Looking forward to trying more of their offerings. read more

We happened to walk by during a surprise free ice cream promotion and decided to stop in -- so glad we did! They had such an interesting selection of flavors. My husband got the cheesecake and also tried the caramel fudge, both were delicious. I went with the hazelnut and it was incredibly creamy and flavorful. The waffle cups added the perfect crunch. Lots of great flavors, and we especially like the ones with crunchy bits added in (chocolate pistachio crunch is my favorite). You can sample as many flavors as you like before ordering, which is nice. The employees are quite friendly. Serving size is not bad, though if you get a cone with 3 flavors, the last one ends up being on the small side so it doesn't slide off. Waffle cones are extra but totally worth it--chewy and delicious (though a little on the narrow side, TBH). Gelato is served warmer than ice cream, which is one of the reasons the flavor is stronger. The downside is that it melts faster, especially on hot days. The line can get to be pretty long--I wouldn't go there if it's out the door. And the POS kiosk where you enter your phone number and payment info is always covered in sticky gelato juice...I wonder why? The value is best if you split with a friend. IMO it's better to split a 3 flavor cone here than to get two solo cones at the nearby Pinkberry (which would cost a few bucks more). It's obviously not as healthy as Pinkberry, but it's much tastier! read more

I had a not so great experience today at Bacio di Latte. It's unfortunate as the gelato itself was delicious and reminded me of my time in Italy, but the customer service was not good. I went in by myself. A party of 3 was ahead of me in line, and a party of 2 was behind me. There were two workers at the front serving the gelato. Both were very friendly. Worker #1, a woman, was helping the party of 3 in front of me. As she is helping that group, she then multi-tasks and asks me about what flavors I like and which ones I'd like to sample. I tell her which flavors I want to try. She gives me two samples, however the party ahead of me still wasn't done with sampling and ordering. As she is trying to talk to me, the group of 3 ahead of me is asking her questions and asking for more samples. Worker #2, a man, then starts to help the party of 2 behind me, ignoring the fact that I hadn't really been helped out yet. In the midst of helping out the party of 3 and ringing up their order and helping give them more samples, Worker #1 completely forgets about me and I wasn't able to even place my order until Worker #2 is already working on the order for the party of 2 behind me. Worker #2 looked at me at this point kinda dumbfounded because he's already serving gelato to the party behind me and I still had not put in an order. Worker #1 then finally gets back to and thanks me for my patience. I said it was ok, but I felt quite ignored and rushed in this process as there was a party behind me getting served. I quickly place my order and Worker #1 gives me my gelato, however I was annoyed as Worker #2 let the party of 2 cut in front of me in line and rang them up before I could ring up my order (even though our gelato orders were actually done at the same exact time). Overall, my feedback is that they need to work on one party at a time, and try not to multi-task unless there is a HUGE rush (I.e, the customer line is wrapping around the shop). Workers also need to confirm before moving on to another customer if the customer in front of them has been helped out and has placed an order. Of course I am no expert in customer service, but I think it is important to focus on one customer at a time. I wanted to try more samples, but I felt rushed and ignored. read more
