There is a snack bar selling food and bevs (chips, popcorn, and soda). Show: The show is very kids friendly. I enjoyed it even without bringing children. Some of the jokes were corny and aimed towards kids FYI! Kids Friendly: Timber Tina and her crew truly makes this show an unforgettable moment for children! The show pauses so that kids can safely get involved with some wood chopping activities with their lumberjack. At the end, they even get a little certificate that is signed by their favorite lumberjack to show that they are now a little lumberjack themselves! A lucky child will get to bring home their very own "rabbit" chair (shipping might be involved if you live out of states and did not drive). My one kid still has his "rabbit" chair in his room from when he was four years old and now he's 20. This is one of the absolute best family friendly shows we've ever been to. Timber Tina (who was on Season 2 of Survivor among other shows and host for years of competition lumberjack and lumberjill on ESPN) has been the host and owner of this show now in their 30th season. You'll get to see the red and green teams of two compete in many different logging competitions including climbing, log rolling, chainsaw cutting, axe throwing, and chopping. There's some "adult" joking but no cursing and everyone will have a great time. The show runs nightly at 7pm and lasts about 90 minutes. The bleacher style seating can get uncomfortable so you may consider being a cushion. They also have port-o-potties if needed, a souvenir and snack stand, and parking is plentiful and free. The show goes rain or shine. Most of the seating is covered. I'd have to assume that it'd be a no-go in a thunderstorm. The children mid-show will get an opportunity to use a saw under the supervision and guidance of the competitors, and there will also be a Q&A to ask anything whether lumberjack related, about Tina, or anything you may have a desire to have answered. Everyone got their turn. Everyone was genuinely nice and friendly and maybe you'll also learn a thing or too about the sport. Did you know there are several colleges with lumberjack as a degree? You and your family have to make this a must-do if you're in Maine. Especially if you have kids. Even if you don't. As I said, this was our third or fourth time, and each time we brought someone new with us on vacation we have to go see the show. They also loved it as much as we do. It just makes you feel good. The ticket sellers were friendly. The seating could not be purchased beforehand and it was pretty packed. One thing: the first movie we went to had a series of 'commercials' which ran for a good 10 minutes at the start time of the movie. This was followed by another 10 minutes or so of coming attractions. It just seemed a little odd that the local commercials (volume MUCH too loud for some) would not be played as folks were waiting for the film to start (ie. before the start time of the film). There was one for a seat belt PSA which showed a mom being greeted by a trooper to say her son was killed; it was a little much for some of the patrons who complained loudly. Interestingly, this PSA, although relevant and a needed reminder, was not played the second day. Popcorn was good, but not hot. Seats were comfy. Overall, it was a nice way to spend a few hours during a downpour. There's a great restaurant, Timber, nearby which we'd highly recommend.

So after ten+ minutes of enjoying the comfortable seats and staring at a blank screen, one of the customers went out into the lobby to get help. After she returned, the sound for the film eventually came on but there were no images and we all sat there in the comfortable seats and waited, but the images never started, so a customer had to go out and ask the manager to fix the projector. After a few more minutes of waiting, the images started to run but the movie was part way along so we had no idea how it started and we couldn't see the images on the screen very well because no one had bothered to turn off the house lights! So, yet again, a paying a customer got up from his comfortable seat and went out to get someone to turn off the house lights! So did the movie rocket staff apologize and restart the movie? No, they just let it run. I think something was also wrong with the projector or film itself because the colors were very dark and it was hard to make out what was going on, not to mention that we were lost because we didn't know how the story began! There was no staff to be found when we were exiting the theater, so I could not have a conversation. There has been no response to my contact with the theater from home. I'd been looking forward to seeing Indiana Jones for months. What a disappointment!

Amy and Dick, the owners, are two of the kindest people I've ever met. I've truly never felt so welcomed and accommodated somewhere. Camping here is a peaceful, serene oasis, and is what every person deserves (especially amongst covid, when most people need a socially distanced escape). Pitching a tent with horses, cows, a donkey, and a goose 2 feet in front of me felt magical. They loved being fed fruits and veggies from my hand, and I was even so close I was able to feed them from my tent when it was raining. The other side of the farm with the barn has pigs, sheep, goats, chickens, rabbits, a mini pond with ducks, and even a little kayak you can paddle around with. It's so beautiful and peaceful to walk around the massive farm, petting the little cuties along the way. The sunrise is gorgeous from here and is quite the treat to wake up to. My experience here has been so peaceful and wonderful that I've already extended it twice! Come for the fresh picked eggs and delicious meat, and stay for the truly amazing camping experience with the nicest hosts ever.

After searching online for anything out of the ordinary to see in Bangor, I knew that the best must-see would be at the police department. Yes, you read that right: this is the residence of the duck's PR guy (and retired Lieutenant) refers to as the "marginally world famous" duck. Read the story online of how this stuffed duck was rescued and is now a community icon, not to mention awesome stories on their Facebook page. If you say you don't do FB, start reading the BPD's page anyhow. You can visit the duck 24 hours a day, but if you go during standard business hours you can meet the QOTFD (Queen of the Front Desk) Melody who will even take your photo with the duck. If you go and she is not there (like we did), you can take a selfie, email it and perhaps become famous as well. Or "marginally famous". The duck has a sign-in log, a family from Germany had been there earlier in the day and there have been 6,000 visitors since 2016; that makes me kind of speechless. Since we arrived at 8pm on a weeknight, Queen Melody was gone (not that I wanted a photo, but to meet her would also have been exciting) and we had to be buzzed into the building. Was my friend embarrassed by my "hi, we are here to see the duck!" response into the intercom? Of course he was. Did a nice (and good looking) officer come out to let us into the duck's lair? Yes. The room isn't large, but it has some cool stuff: photos from old crimes (beware: a couple of bodies), handcuffs that look like they weighed 5-10 lbs, a "tramp chair" and some other cool things. You can also pick up a duck sticker (now on my refrigerator) and if you really want to update your wardrobe, order a t-shirt and/or sweatshirt of the duck (proceeds go towards various community programs). In case you haven't figured it out by now, just go and see the Duck of Justice.

You have now made it a safety issue in the sense that these people think they can break the law and get away with it. Maybe you should have foot patrols on the walking paths if your department is going to allow things like this to happen. Be better Bangor Police; you took an oath to uphold the law and order of Bangor.
