Well...antiques and high quality vintage! There's few old McDonald's toys, milk glass chickens, and Art Deco vanities to be found here (although if those are what you're looking for, they still exist at Memory Lane! Just not in the quantities found elsewhere). What tips Memory Lane to the 5-star scale is the supreme selection of high-quality teak and mid-century furniture and accessories. Several of their vendors have exceptional Danish and Nordic designers featured with new upholstery and professional refinishing. While the items are pricey, they are beautiful and fairly valued for their excellent condition. I was surprised to find all of this in London and it's a gem if you're into the "Mad Men" style!

However they refuse to assume responsibility of your belongings if they get stolen (that's what the manager said). If you're a person of colour they will harass you, film you, threaten you and follow you around even if you're clearly just shopping. They said it's for their own safety. So they just admitted that because I'm a person of colour they think I'm dangerous, because they didn't ask any white women for their bags and they left them alone.
