I enjoyed the process of design with them and they did listen to my concerns and ideas as well as considering our budget. The quote came in way over budget. After some time, we changed the scope of the project some and Red branch re-bid on the project and came in at a lower cost. I'm not sure if that was the problem, but the quality of what we received at completion versus what was discussed was two different things. I have already had to have things fixed and the project has been completed less than a year. The gates have had to be entirely redone. There are a few more things that need to be fixed but will have to wait due for financial reasons. Additionally, when I was working with them I thought the majority of the work would be completed by them or at least other contractors that they had worked with. Ultimately, I found out that they bid out my project to other local contractors that they had not worked with. I have had to hire additional people to complete the job and fix the things they did poorly. I am very disappointed by their work and honestly their character. It was not what I expected when I hired them at all.

While my fiancé's name is on the contract, my name is only name on the property, mortgage, and checking account used to pay for the project. I was also present throughout the process and directly involved in decisions and communications. My review was never intended to dispute what was written in the contract. My concern is that some important items were not clearly discussed during the estimate process. Specifically, we were told that the sprinkler system "wouldn't be a problem," yet later learned that relocation of sprinklers was our responsibility. My hope is simply that future customers are made aware of this requirement upfront so they can plan accordingly. Regarding the sprinkler repairs, I was present when the third pipe was repaired after dark. While I understand your records may reflect otherwise, no assistance was provided at that time in the dark. Likewise, we did verbally request cancellation by phone and were told that we wouldn't receiver or non refundable 50% deposit back, though we were offered the alternative of proceeding with a shorter fence. Another concern was access to the yard. I understand construction requires equipment, but we were never informed that a truck and trailer would be driven through our yard. In my opinion, customers should be given advance notice and asked for permission when heavy equipment will be used in areas outside the fence line, especially when there are alternative methods available. As for the April 1 quality-control visit, no one was home, so concerns such as rough cuts, missing nails, and rust on portions of the fence were not discussed. These are issues that should have been seen by your employe doing their quality check. Those issues are relatively minor and not worth reopening the project over, which is why they were never submitted as a formal warranty request. My review was never about debating contracts or BBB procedures. It was simply to share our experience and encourage greater transparency during estimates, better communication regarding equipment access, and more attention to detail during installation. We own other properties that will require fencing in the future, and had this experience been handled with more care and communication, I would have gladly chosen Major League Fence again. I genuinely hope these comments are taken as constructive feedback to help improve future customer experiences.

We had a nightmare experience…read more General Contractors are needed to make sure you stay on budget and meet your timeline and obviously to provide a quality finished project. None of these things happened in our case. From another state, we hired 5A to complete a full house remodeling job that included water damage and mold abatement. Although we could tell not much work had been done, he kept demanding more and more money from us. At one point he had not applied $40,000 that we had paid him, but was asking for more. After being way over budget and time, as well as, terrible work quality, we had to fire them and hire another company to take over and manage the job. We are now paying to re-work much of what had been done because it was so poorly executed and would never have met code. He rarely shows up on the job and he kept our property filthy. He had no respect for anything on our property. Windows were broken that we must now repair. He cuts corners! He would not communicate what was going on at our home or if he did, it was a lie. For example, we met one Saturday to go over the job and he never told us we had failed our inspection just 1 day prior. He kept atrocious books. When we asked to see his accounting, it was just a file of receipts that could have been for any job. He is so unprofessional. The builder will not respond to our letters asking for our deposit and other monies that are ours, so he left us no other recourse but to pursue it legally. It has been such a disappointing experience.
