They were limp and didn't have the consistency I so adore in this dish... the perfect crunchy exterior with the right amount of fluff.... the salmon sandwich was a unique take by pairing it with salsa... which actually worked. The food is nicely plated. Not greasy. I ordered the Mickey. It took awhile to get my dish. My entire party of 11 had already eaten and my food still hadn't come out. They said they were still making the hollandaise sauce. When it finally arrived, it was beautiful. Tasted good. I kind of miss the messiness of a Benedict. We stopped in here for a weekday breakfast and when we arrived, we were the only ones in the restaurant. We were greeted by Jenny who seated us and gave us our menus. The environment was neutral, not busy but also not super inviting, but we were hungry and ready to see how the food was going to be. I started with the coconut milk latte ($5.50), hubby had a coffee ($3), and for our meals, I opted for the Norwegian Benedict ($18) and substituted fruit for the sides (+$2.75), and hubby ordered the Bacon breakfast sando with fries ($13). Our drinks came out super-fast, which was great since we were still pretty early in the day and we were definitely seeking caffeine. My drink looked great when it landed, but quickly curdled and was terrible. I tried to power through, but it was just not yummy. When the dishes arrived, they looked really nice, and smelled good. My smoked salmon was super fishy and weirdly gummy, and really set the benedict off for me. Even pulling it off the rest of the dish didn't really help because the smell was so strong, it ruined it for me. Fortunately, the fruit was one of the best fruit bowls I've had with a meal and every piece was fresh, flavorful and delicious. Hubby thought his breakfast sando was ok, however the serving size was so huge, and the food was so heavy, he felt weighed down and had heartburn after. He left more than half his dish because even his hungry omnivore self couldn't eat it all. Overall, the ambiance was nonexistent, the service was very cold, and the food was really not impressive other than the freshness of the fruit. Parking on the street was hit and miss, prices were high (about $50 for the two of us) for the overall quality, however the bathroom was really clean and well-lit so at least they had that going for them. The staff is friendly and they have outdoor seating. We brought our dog and they brought him water without us asking. I normally look forward to my sourdough toast when I go out to brunch, but their ciabatta toast was an awesome alternative. One of my Favorite spots in Novato!!! This small family owned restaurant is a go-to whenever I am in the mood for a great breakfast or lunch. Everything is made with care and I never get the feeling that things were slapped together in a rush. When I go for breakfast I love the hash brown selections and I often add a side of fried chicken. It is amazing, they add something special to the batter that makes it amazing! If you haven't ever tried it, take the Millionaire's bacon out for a spin. what a treat! If there for lunch their burgers don't disappoint (try the bacon burger). One of the other things that I love about this place is that the owner and family donates a lot to community efforts. As a resident that has children in the school system I appreciate and will support a local business that reinvests in the community. With that being said, what are you waiting for??? See you there! After countless visits (mostly breakfast) we've always been seated within a few minutes, drink orders taken almost immediately and someone is over shortly to discuss food options. They offer a good variety of breakfast and lunch and portions are plentiful. There's a small outdoor seating area which is really nice on warm days and I do believe they are dog-friendly. Our last visit there were a few tables open inside when we arrived so no outdoor seating for us. We waited one full hour for our food. I am not sure if our order was messed up and they had to remake or if they were running behind but that seemed unusually long. I found the blueberry pancakes underwhelming but the egg dishes were good. Waitstaff was apologetic for the delay. read more

What a great find! I mean, besides the fact that I love bacon and this place has amazing bacon.... The customer service was top notch, and the food was delicious! We popped in as we rode by on our bikes looking for a quick bite at the end of our ride. There was room to safely keep our bikes near us, they offered us a bigger table but were fine with the little 2 person table. They quickly brought ice cold water seeing that we were hot and thirsty from riding. Everyone smiled and was friendly. With another 5 miles of riding and not too hungry we decided to share a sandwich and salad. Without even having to ask, they split our meal on 2 beautifully presented plates to make it easy to share. The best part about this restaurant is the staff - they are all so lovely, attentive, kind, and welcoming. The food is excellent, too. If you haven't tried the Honeybee Bacon Burger, you haven't lived. It wasn't greasy or anything, it just was a little much for me that early. But my husbands waffle, was so sweet. He couldn't even finish it. He's a very simple man and usually will have waffle eggs and bacon anywhere we go. He kept referring to it so I finally gave it a bite, and it was just waaay too much for a waffle. Possibly too much vanilla extract? Not sure. But it was hard to even want to finish what was in my mouth. Could have been a bad batch. Could have been a bad day. Either way it's just one dish. Today we got to order their new addition to their menu, their fried chicken sandwich on ciabatta bread which also has coleslaw in it. We ended up also getting a side of the coleslaw...Delish!!! I don't know why I've never ordered a burger from here before, but felt like having one today. I had the Honey Bee cheeseburger that comes with their delicious Honey Bee bacon. I asked to have it made with their gluten-free sliced bread with fruit instead of fries. My burger patty was perfectly cooked medium and was juicy. We needed an outside table, and the owner stepped right up and let us know how long it would take and he kept a keen eye out for the moment our table was clear. Came there on President Day Weekend Sunday around 12:30 (We called ahead at noon) for table of 10. They sat us outside because it was full inside and we had to split table 6 & 4.
